Ireland captain Paul Stirling: "It’s must-win from here on in. We’re looking forward to getting out there and seeing if we can restrict Canada.

"The pitch has changed a lot in two days. We’ll see if there’s any difference in the bounce. It looks like there might be less lateral movement.

"We’ll have to be really quick in our communication, between wicketkeeper and bowler to see if it swings, then we’ll go from there."

Ireland's captain Paul Stirling has won the toss and is going to have a bowl.

The two games at this stadium so far have featured the side batting first being bowled out for under a hundred, and no doubt Stirling will want a repeat of that today.

Both these sides had challenging opening games in this World Cup.

Canada looked set to beat the USA in the opening game of the tournament, before a barrage of sixes from Aaron Jones turned the game in the hosts' favour.

Ireland's match against India was painful both figuratively literally, when their wickets weren't tumbling they were taking hits from a spicy pitch in New York.

They'll hope to fare better today.

Yesterday, the T20 World Cup burst into life as co-hosts United States shocked Pakistan in the super over.

Today another North American side will be fancying their chances of chalking up an upset as Canada, the lowest-ranked side in the competition, take on perennial tournament qualifiers Ireland.

We're back in New York, the sun is shining and the pitches are chaotic - we're in for a fun day.
