The Derbyshire first innings comes to an end as Toby Roland-Jones has Jack Morley caught behind.

The veteran seamer finishes with 6-77 from 22.4 overs and that is a fourth catch in the innings for keeper Joe Cracknell.

Middlesex have fought back well after Caleb Jewell (56) and Harry Came (64) put on 105 for the second wicket - but there was no wicket for Olly Stone, whose 17 overs cost him 77 runs.

  6. Postpublished at 17:33 British Summer Time 8 September

    Sussex 31-1 v Hants 226

Runs have been hard to come by for Sussex, who are stuck at a rate of around two an over.

But there's bit of respite from Kyle Abbott who bowls a rare half volley and is driven through cover for four by Oli Carter.

    Nine overs left tonight.

  7. 'A good catch by Patel'published at 17:32 British Summer Time 8 September

    Leics v Glos 350-5

    Richard Rae
    BBC Radio Leicester Sport

A really good catch by Rishi Patel diving away to his right, got two hands to it.

Jack Taylor went at it a little too hardhanded and it flew away to Patel's right and he is the only slip but he got there and Chris Wright picks up a second wicket and Leicestershire a second bowling bonus point.

  8. Postpublished at 17:31 British Summer Time 8 September

    Worcs 178-9 v Notts

Three slips in for Dillon Pennington, who bowls full and Khurram Shahzad defends into mid off.

The number 11 ducks under a subsequent bouncer and flicks a quick, leg side ball fine - perhaps wisely opting against taking the single.

Dropped catchpublished at 17:30 British Summer Time 8 September

    Essex v Durham 303-8

Tall Paul Walter has a head-start on most when it comes to diving catches but his flying effort to his right at gully after Sam Conners edges Jamie Porter is put down.

Tough chance, but a chance. He stays face down on the turf for a while.

Essex won't want the hassle of coming back in the morning still needing two wickets.

    Leics v Glos 351-6

Second bowling point for Leicestershire as Jack Taylor tries to defend a ball from Chris Wright and is safely taken by Rishi Patel at slip, moving to his right.

His fourth half century of the season and surely his most precious given this low scoring innings.

  14. Postpublished at 17:24 British Summer Time 8 September

    Surrey 246 v Warwickshire 70-4

    Northants v Glamorgan 350-6

Timm van der Gugten tucks a leg side ball from Justin Broad fine for a single to take his team to 350 in 91.2 overs.

Very much Glamorgan's day, thanks in the main to a career best 176 not out (so far) from Asa Tribe.

Jamie Porter gets one to stay low outside off stump and Sam Conners gets away with a prod at the ball, catching only fresh air.

    Worcs 170-9 v Notts

Josh Tongue nearly finds the outside edge of Gareth Roderick's bat but he withdraws the blade at the last moment.

A leg side ball is tucked away for two.

The next ball is outside off... Roderick backs away to leg and carves through point for four. He now has 49.

  19. 'Wicket number 43 of the season Abbott'published at 17:18 British Summer Time 8 September

    Sussex 17-1 v Hants 226

    Kevan James
    BBC Radio Solent commentator

That was wicket number 43 of the season for Kyle Abbott, on course for yet another 50-wicket season that's why it was announced last week that he'd signed a new deal which will take him through to 39-years-of-age come this time next year.

  20. 300 up for Durhampublished at 17:18 British Summer Time 8 September

    Essex v Durham 300-8

Durham have clawed their way to this second batting point.

Graham Clark picks up a couple off the recalled Doug Bracewell who then finds the inside edge of Sam Conners, allowing him to run a single.

Another inside edge from Clark onto the pads picks up another one and then a flick off Conners' pads runs away to the rope for four leg byes to bring up the 300.

Relief for Durham, who have matched Essex's two bonus points, but the hosts are one wicket away from a third.
