Lancashire v Glamorgan 148-3

It's been spin all the way for Lancashire in this afternoon session at Old Trafford with Chris Green and Tom Hartley bowling in tandem for the Red Rose side.
It felt like it would be a day for Sir James Anderson when we turned up to be confronted by cloudy conditions and a green pitch this morning but it is the off-spin of Green that has taken all three of the Glamorgan wickets to fall today.
With Luke Wells yet to bowl his leg-spin for Lancashire and Glamorgan including two spinners in their side, there could be more Spinning Around here than a Kylie Minogue concert.

I don't think this pitch has any great demons to bat on.
A good little partnership from these two, Potts has played well with Ackermann.
Simpson c Duke b Milnes 5 (Yorks v Sussex 113-5)
A feather through to Harry Duke and Yorkshire are starting to take a grip on this first day.
This has been tight from the Yorkies sine lunch with just 21 scored in the best part of 15 overs and now Matt Milnes has reward.
John SImpson probably did not need to play at that but drives down the wrong line and has been snapped up behind the stumps.
Worcs v Hants 45-0
Brett D'Oliveira might have to have a think about a change of bowling after this start with Khurram Shahzad bowling a few too many four balls.
He has gone for six and 30 runs in his five overs and although he has beaten the bat on occasions, he has not made best use of the new ball after his skipper put the opposition in.
And, right on cue, Ben Allison replaces him.

Durham are right in the middle of the relegation fight following their two-day defeat at Taunton last week. But do they have the stomach for it? Because at the moment they look a very sorry sight.
They chose to bat on a slow track today but have never got going. Surrey have bowled with discipline and tight lines and taken wickets regularly. Too many players are getting out to shots they should not be playing and confidence looks shot. The lack of foot movement is also a worry.
As things stand they will be luck to make 150 at this rate. They only made 145 in their first innings at Somerset last week - and the batting side of the team was the strong point for me this season!
Why are so many players out of form at the same time? And where are the partnerships going to come from to rescue this one?
Notts v Somerset 142-3
A third six of the afternoon for James Rew, another one off Calvin Harrison.
This pitch has proven to be pretty flat in recent matches between these two sides in the County Championship and Somerset are keen to get as close to 450 in 110 overs as they can.
142-3 off 40 is a good effort after losing three early wickets.
Yorks v Sussex 105-4
Just nine runs in the first 9.3 overs since lunch with Yorkshire turning the screw but Tom Alsop has broken the shackles a little with a straight hit for four.
Sussex needed that.
Table-toppers Leicestershire are piling on the runs against Kent at Canterbury.
Rehan Ahmed and Rishi Patel have both passed fifty to take the Foxes to 152-1.
Aneurin Donald and Martin Andersson have steadied things for Derbyshire after they lost four quick wickets before lunch at Northants. The visitors are now 142-5.
Asa Tribe is leading the way for Glamorgan against Lancashire at Old Trafford. The opener has 60 in his side's 110-2.
And at Cheltenham College, where there was a slightly delayed start, Middlesex are 76-2 against Gloucestershire. Josh de Caires is unbeaten on 40 and a certain Kane Williamson has just come to the middle.
Notts v Somerset 126-3
151 deliveries it has taken, 97 minutes.
Calvin Harrison, a man these two know well, into his fourth over, still with just one slip in place.
James Rew decides he can take him for six into the stands, with ease.
Run rate up to 3.5 now and the 100 stand between Rew and Tom Abell.
Ibrahim c Hill b White 0 (Yorks v Sussex 100-4)
Danial Ibrahim trudges off disconsolately after a 24 ball duck.
The Burnley-born 20-year-old had started cautiously trying to play himself in but had retreated into his shell in the face of some good pressure from Yorkshire's bowlers.
Jack White got one to leave him slightly and found a straightforward edge to first slip but he might have left that on another day.
White has 3-10 now off nine overs with five maidens.

Surrey have been very good with the ball today, they've been so disciplined.
Ben Raine didn't have to play that shot, he's had a big drive at that and it's a thick outside edge.
A good low catch from Burns, Surrey have looked like a side who have won the Championship several times in the last few years.
The way Durham are playing here, they look like they could be out for 150.
Raine c Burns b Worrall 1 (Durham 93-7 v Surrey)
Ben Raine attempts to drive the man who made an appearance in the Surrey Premier League just the other Saturday, and like a few clubbies in that game, fails.
Quality grab from Surrey skipper Rory Burns diving to his left from second slip, this the best of his two slip grabs with his floppy hat on.
Worrall with his fourth...will Rob Key and Brendon McCullum be watching and further interested in another Surrey seamer doing well with even the Kookaburra ball..?
Worcs v Hants 23-0
Khurram Shahzad is getting some movement but little in the way of luck and a second edge has now gone through the slip cordon.
An edge from Joe Weatherley went between second and third early on and that edge from Fletcha Middleton has gone low (and probably just to ground) to the right of third slip.
He follows it up with a more conventionally struck push through extra cover for four to make it 12 from the over.
Notts v Somerset 124-3
Both at similar strike-rates, the right, left-hand combination working nicely for these silky looking players.
James Rew and Tom Abell have benefitted from some loose Dillon Pennington bowling (who is still being persisted with) but they have had to fight through the overcast conditions to get through to the sunny afternoon state of play now.
Both have just gone past fifty in quick succession.
Yorks v Sussex 100-3
Tom Alsop clips two off his legs off the bowling of Will Sutherland and bring up three figures for Sussex.
de Leede lbw Kishore 0 (Durham 84-6 v Surrey)
Another one down for the home side.
Dutch internatonal Bas de Leede goes for a duck.
The umpire does not take anytime to consider it, sees the sweep and as soon as the ball is missed, instantly puts the finger up.
Clever, slightly quicker ball from Sai Kishore to a fatally premeditated sweep from the allrounder.
Notts v Somerset 113-3

Nottinghamshire need to get some control, quite a few boundaries have come just after lunch.
Three boundaries in a row from Abell, just like Rew did earlier.
There's a real show of intent.
Notts v Somerset 112-3
It means nothing points wise, but we know cricket fans have an obsession for landmarks and round numbers, so better note it.
Three boundaries off successive poor Dillon Pennington deliveries take former skipper Tom Abell to 44.
The tall quick is looking rusty and expensive here, Hameed would rather have a reliable medium pacer like Brett Hutton or Mo Abbas than a leaky quick like Pennington is looking so far today.
Clark c Burns b Worrall 4 (Durham 77-5 v Surrey)
Rory Burns is a wide, solitary slip and takes it nicely to his left with two hands.
No Clark brother off in this innings then.
Bas de Leede is in at seven, no David Bedingham or Neil Wagner in this match for Durham.
