Essex 113-1 v Warwickshire
Six singles since the restart in two overs as Essex continue to accumulate and Paul Walter edges towards his half century.
Notts v Somerset 90-3
Both Liam Patterson-White and Dillon Pennington start with a maiden after lunch.
James Rew in a little bother, nearly a Bashir to Siraj esque trickle back onto the stumps from a late defensive stroke.
Worcs v Hants 0-0
We are finally off the blocks in Worcester with the visitors put in by hosts and Joe Weatherley and Fletcha Middleton facing Khurram Shazad.
Weatherley edges the fifth ball between second and third slip to get the Hampshire innings off to a rather unconvincing start with a four to the third man rope.
Worcestershire are rock bottom of Division One and need a win here.
Durham 77-4 v Surrey
Sai Kishore and Dan Worrall will bowl in tandem after lunch, so still no Cam Steel who has to attempt to chase the first boundary of the second session.
Soft hands from G Clark, who is yet to face a certain J Clark-his brother, in this match.
Yorks v Sussex 92-3
George Hill finishes off the final two balls of his over having bagged James Coles on the stroke of lunch.
We are back in motion here on the Yorkshire coast.
Yorkshire v Sussex 92-3 - lunch, day one

The dismissal of James Coles on the stroke of lunch means that honours are about even after the morning session.
Coles had looked in imperious form following his three centuries in successive Championship games, but he was undone by a good ball from George Hill.
Earlier Jack White had bowled an impressive opening spell accounting for both openers with possibly the catch of the season as Tom Haines was caught by James Wharton an incredible running diving catch as the ball came over his shoulder.
Gloucs v Middlesex 41-1 - lunch, day one

The pitch has been cut to give the sides every chance of a result in this latest Kookaburra round.
The middle of the track - including a good length for the seamers - has been left green, while a good length for a spinner is as bare as imaginable and is set to offer a great deal of assistance.
Sam Robson's wicket came from an extra bit of pace and bounce, which has been noticeable all morning.
Middlesex have gone with seven batters, although one is the all-rounder Ryan Higgins and the other the off-spinning Josh de Caires. Luke Hollman has also been recalled in the absence of the injured Zafar Gohar with Toby Roland-Jones rested allowing for the additional batter.
Notts v Somerset 90-3 - lunch, day one

A good recovery from Somerset after being 0-2 and 25-3, thanks to a solid partnership between James Rew and Tom Abell.
There was early seam movement for Mo Abbas, whose three wickets have taken his first-class tally to exactly 800, and signs of turn for Calvin Harrison's leg-spin.
But a combination of a slow pitch and the Kookaburra ball means that this really ought to be another batsman's game.
Day one
Div One
Durham 68-4 v Surrey
Essex 107-1 v Warwickshire
Notts v Somerset 90-3
Worcestershire v Hampshire - start delayed, rain
Yorkshire v Sussex 92-3
Div Two
Gloucs v Middlesex 41-1
Kent v Leics 120-1
Lancashire v Glamorgan 91-1
Northants v Derbyshire 98-5
Yorks v Sussex 92-3
Yorkshire will be happy with their morning's work, particularly nipping out the free-scoring James Coles on the stroke of lunch.
If three wickets is just about the lower edge of where they might have hoped to be after putting in Sussex they do carry momentum going into the afternoon.
Jack White's figures of 8-4-10-2 were very good and he bowled well but nothing (and I mean nothing in this match or the country in this round of games) will outshine the catch from James Wharton to dismiss Tom Haines.
Watch it if you get the chance because it was special.
Essex 107-1 v Warwickshire
Very much the hosts' morning after being put into bat by Alex Davies.
Paul Walter is looking on top of his game tracking nicely on 47 from 67 balls and Tom Westley has compiled an unremarkable but effective 20 from 48.
Dean Elgar is the only wicket to fall and delivered that on a plate for Warwickshire, pulling an average, short pitched delivery from Beau Webster to Zen Malik at midwicket.
Coles c Duke b Hill 47 (Yorks v Sussex 92-3)
Right on the stroke of lunch and George Hill has tilted this game back in Yorkshire favour.
James Coles has been taking a few liberties to push the score along but he was nudging defensively here and has just misjudged one from Hill.
Harry Duke takes a regulation catch behind the stumps after it finds the edge.
Notts v Somerset 90-3
29 overs bowled in that session and after three early wickets, barely a chance has been given from two of Somerset's star batters.
James Rew 45* and Tom Abell 30* have rebuilt nicely after Mo Abbas earnt his 800th first-class wicket this morning knocking all of Somerset's top three over in the first hour.
Essex 103-1 v Warwickshire
Paul Walter smashes Corey Rocchiccioli over wide midwicket to bring up three figures for Essex and ensure this has been their morning.
Notts v Somerset 90-3

A much healthier position that Somerset find themselves in after where they were.
Notts were on top early on, Somerset have come roaring back with this partnership.
A competitive morning of cricket.
Robinson b Kishore (Durham 68-4 v Surrey)
Pitched on middle, hit middle and off from the left-arm spinner coming around the wicket.
A good ball and a bad finish to the session for the home side.
Overcast conditions still, but spin taking the fourth wicket after Durham won the toss again and opted to bat.
Captain Alex Lees will be increasingly grumpy, certainly his dismissal lbw to Dan Worrall seemed high.
That'll be lunch.
Yorks v Sussex 91-2
James Coles is not for retreating into his shell however close to lunch we are and has danced down the wicket to smash Dom Bess back over his head for a large six.
Last over of the session will come from George Hill.
Yorks v Sussex 85-2
James Coles has batted well this morning for his 41 but he could do with lunch arriving quickly having played and missed at three deliveries outside off stump.
Tom Alsop has compiled a more patient 18 from 55 balls but is looking solid.
A couple of overs before lunch and Dom Bess' spin will bowl the first of them.
Lees lbw b Worrall 34 (Durham 65-3 v Surrey)
Dan Worrall gets his second of the day.
Alex Lees was not best pleased at the state of the last two wickets his side have had to play on away from home vs the kookaburra in the County Championship, now he is not at all happy with this decision.
It did look a tad high in fairness, hit the thigh pad which he instantly rubs.
Notts v Somerset 76-3
The first turn to spin saw former Taunton Deane club cricketer Calvin Harrison go for five.
Lyndon James had his England Lions team-mate James Rew caught and bowled just a few weeks ago with this same make of ball in Taunton, he draws an inside edge from a loose Rew shot, but the 'keeper gets away with one.
