First bowling change of the day by Somerset as Lewis Gregory takes over from Brett Randell.

We were just wondering whether spinners Jack Leach or Archie Vaughan will get an over in this game, having shared all 20 wickets last week.

Just a single for Harry Singh from Gregory's opener.

Rory Burns gets a life on 43.

After the umpires duly agree to change the ball after 16.3 overs, it almist brings immediate reward for Daniel Hogg.

He indices a genuine edge from Burns which heads towards David Bedingham at first slip.

But a diving second slip Colin Ackermann gets a right hand to it and grasses it.

Great over from the young bowler, though.

    Hampshire 394-5 v Worcs

    Partnership broken!

Liam Dawson follows one down leg and sends it very high into the Southampton sky.

It seems to take an age to come down but Adam Hose keeps his on eye on it throughout and makes a tricky looking catch look simple.

A few oohs and aahs as a Luke Fletcher edge drops just short of Jack Leaning in the slip cordon.

  17. Postpublished at 10:49 British Summer Time 18 September

    Lancs 140 & 21-2 v Somerset 146

Somerset need Brett Randell to come to the party with a wicket or two today.

The New Zealander didn't manage one against Surrey last week, but that was perhaps understandable on a spin-friendly pitch.

This surface is totally different but his eight overs in the first innings brought figures of 0-22.

That is a maiden to Harry Singh, who has eight not out from 45 balls faced.

  18. Postpublished at 10:48 British Summer Time 18 September

    Surrey 62-0 v Durham 262

Not so good from Bas de Leede as he leaks two no-balls in his second over of the morning.

    But, that was close!

Dom Sibley pushes and edges towards second slip, It drops just short.

Alex Lees has a word with the umpires about the state of the ball. It's only 16 overs old.

There's no change but the seed is planted.

  19. Postpublished at 10:45 British Summer Time 18 September

    Surrey 56-0 v Durham 262

Durham have been much improved with the ball this morning and Rory Burns pushes unconvincingly as Daniel Hogg angles one across the left-hander.

Burns then gets the scoreboard ticking, beating James Minto in the field to pick up a couple. And it's a no-ball.

The Surrey opener then slashes at a wider ball and it thuds into the gloves of wicketkeeper Ollie Robinson.

So far, so good for Middlesex at Derby, where their overnight pair are still together. A single in the latest Zak Chappell over takes Max Holden to 45 not out, and Mark Stoneman now has 80 at the other end.
