  1. wicket

    Lanning c Winfield-Hill b Kapp 22 (Spirit 35-1)

And Laura Harris breathes a sigh of relief!

Meg Lanning is furious with herself. She goes for another cut, but the ball swings late and she edges through to the keeper.

Marizanne Kapp thoroughly enjoyed that one. The Invincibles are fired up now!

  2. dropped catch

Lanning dropped on 21published at 75 balls left

    Spirit 33-0

    Huge moment!

Meg Lanning cuts firmly to Laura Harris at short third, who gets two hands to it diving to her left, but it doesn't stick.

A tough one, but Lanning gives so few chances, you've got to take those.

  3. Spirit 32-0published at 78 balls left

    Target 114

    Shot!

Meg Lanning clubs a short ball to the mid-wicket boundary as Invincibles' bowlers continue to offer her a few too many bad balls to hit.

When you are bowling this set of five, and you know you're at the back end of the powerplay, both batters are in and set and they will look to target you.

So you have to be consistently inconsistent - you don't want to bowl the same ball twice here.

  5. Spirit 28-0published at 80 balls left

    Target 114

Big challenge for young spinner Sophia Smale, bowling to Meg Lanning with only two fielders allowed on the boundary.

Lanning takes the early initiative, sweeping aggressively for four more.

    Steady start from the Spirit.

  6. Spirit 21-0published at 85 balls left

    Target 114

A wide, followed by two more to Lanning, makes that a costly start from Slater.

Spirit can afford to play a little more cautiously against Kapp, and cash in against the rest.

Meg Lanning's footwork is so precise there. She gets right across to the line of the ball with her right foot and then it's just an easy hit, a slice away.

It's an overcorrection from Slater - you don't want to be missing either of side of the wicket against a player like Meg Lanning.

  8. Spirit 17-0published at 87 balls left

Would not recommend bowling short to Meg Lanning.

Rachel Slater's first ball is gratefully helped on its way to the square leg boundary, and the second is greeted by the Lanning cut shot, which is a sight to behold.

Sliced through the gap on the off-side for four more.

I've never faced Kapp. Absolutely not!

We played in the same team as well and I refused to face her in the nets. I was like: "No, she's got the pace, she's got the skill, all she's going to do is hit me in the shins time and time again."

  10. Spirit 9-0published at 90 balls left

    Target 114

    First boundary!

Glorious timing from Georgia Redmayne, clipping Kapp over square leg for four.

As ever, Kapp hates it. She is fired up, and responds with four dot balls and each one is followed by her trademark stare!

  11. Spirit 5-0published at 95 balls left

    Target 114

The Invincibles enjoy bowling sets of 10, rather than fives, and Marizanne Kapp is going to continue again here.

They know they've got to get Lanning early. It's a brave move, but could be priceless if it comes off...

Marizanne Kapp has been unbelievable! We are so used to her swinging the ball away but she has actually used that ball that has gone back in to the right-hander.

Her best figures were against London Spirit. She got four wickets for 11 runs the last time they played.

She has been in great form and she just keeps adapting her game, although she has probably lost a little bit of pace.

  13. Spirit 1-0published at 99 balls left

    Target 114

    A calm start.

Meg Lanning dabs one down to deep third for a single, and Spirit are on their way.

    Here we go, then!

London Spirit are chasing 114 for a place in The Hundred final for the first time. Australia duo Meg Lanning and Georgia Redmayne are in the middle, Marizanne Kapp has the ball in hand...

I'm expecting a cool, calm and collected chase from London Spirit.

If you had asked any one of those players, especially Heather Knight, how much they would like to chase - they would have said: "110 runs or below, please".

So I can't see this being their absolute dream, but it is theirs to throw away for sure.

For Invincibles, it's over to Marizanne Kapp.

The South Africa all-rounder has been so important to their success in recent years and she loves a big occasion.

She has played a valuable knock of 26 in their batting innings already, while Alice Capsey made 30 and Laura Harris added a useful cameo of 16 from just seven balls.

    Cheers, Jonty!

Tash Farrant on BBC Two says that Invincibles' total is definitely "below-par", but the pitch did look a little slow so we could be in for an intriguing chase.

Spirit and England skipper Heather Knight will be key to their hopes, as well as legendary former Australia captain Meg Lanning.

Plenty going on in that first innings and if the run chase is anything like that, we have a cracking Eliminator on our hands in this London derby.

Ffion Wynne is here to take you through the run chase.

  19. London Spirit need 114 to winpublished at 15:29 British Summer Time 17 August
    Breaking

An excellent display of bowling from the Oval Invincibles. They restricted the scoring and took a flurry of wickets at the back end of the innings.

Three wickets for Charlie Dean, two each for Danielle Gibson, Eva Gray and Sarah Glenn and some excellent fielding too.

The Spirit will certainly fancy their chances with the bat, needing 114 to win this Eliminator clash.

  20. wicket

    WICKETpublished at 100 balls

Smale st Redmayne b Gray (Invincibles 113-9)

Sophia Smale goes for it off the final ball. A swing and a miss and Georgia Redmayne has an easy stumping.
