If the Invincibles get a boundary and a couple of twos off this, I think they're up to a very competitive total.

  2. wicket

    WICKETpublished at 96 balls

    MacDonald-Gay c Dean b Gray 0 (Invincibles 110-8)

A brilliant end to the innings, this is, for the London Spirit.

Ryana MacDonald-Gay is dismissed first ball by Eva Gray, helpd by a brilliant catch from Charlie Dean at mid-on.

She's missed two but she's held two. And it's Laura Harris, crucial wicket for London Spirit. Well held again Dani Gibson.

There’s a lot to admire about that catch from Dani Gibson. Not least the willingness to dive on, what I’d imagine, are rock-solid practice pitches.

A brilliant catch and a painful one too.

  5. wicket

    WICKETpublished at 95 balls

    Harris c Gibson b Dean 16 (Invincibles 110-7)

Dean and Gibson link up again!

Two wickets in three balls and the partnership between bowler and fielder continue.

Laura Harris had played some big shots, but holes out when going for it at the end of the innings. An easy catch.

  6. wicket

    WICKETpublished at 92 balls

    Villiers c Gibson b Dean 3 (Invincibles 105-6)

    What a catch!

After missing two easier chances, Danielle Gibson makes ammends in the field with a brilliant low catch to remove Mady Villiers.

It's turning into an eventful game for her.

She's capable of taking the game away from you in moments is Laura Harris. She hits the biggest sixes out of anybody in world cricket. She's not played for Australia but in the domestic game, in the franchise leagues, it's why she goes round the world, she only needs four or five balls and she can completely flip the game on its head.

  8. Invincibles 103-5published at 90 balls

Four more to end the set.

Laura Harris is now on 12 off five balls and if the Invincibles can keep her on strike, a big finish has a chance.

  9. 6 runs

    Invincibles 99-4published at 89 balls

That's an enormous six from Laura Harris.

Opened up on the leg side from Danielle Gibson, she thrashes at it and it flies over the rope.

  10. wicket

    WICKETpublished at 87 balls

    Wellington c Lanning b Gibson 8 (Invincibles 92-5)

    Another wicket for Danielle Gibson.

Amanda-Jade Wellington knew she had to go for it, forcing a shot out towards deep backward square leg, but only as far as Meg Lanning, who gets low and takes the catch well.

Just 13 balls remaining and the Invincibles are yet to reach three figures.

  11. Invincibles 90-4published at 85 balls

As you were and not out.

15 balls to go in this innings.

Danielle Gibson is back, having taken the wicket of Alice Capsey a few sets ago.

  12. Umpire reviewpublished at 85 balls

    Invincibles 90-4

Almost a carbon copy of the last unusual shot, but Wellington gets no bat on it and Deepti Sharma goes upstairs.

  13. Invincibles 90-4published at 84 balls

Wow! What a shot that was.

Very unorthodox from Amanda-Jade Wellington, sending a Deepti Sharma full toss through the field the four, with what could probably be best described as a reverse cut.

    Innovative.

Big wicket. Marizanne Kapp just started to get going, we know Sarah Glenn targets the stumps, she'll just look to hammer the stumps. This is the fifth time in 11 games that she's got Marizanne Kapp out and as a bowler, you know that. You know when you have batters in your pocket.

  15. Invincibles 84-4published at 80 balls

Sarah Glenn ends her 20 balls with figures of 2-15.

Considering she had a back spasm in the Spirit's last match, that is a superb effort and she has been one of a few excellent bowling displays for the Spirit today.

  16. wicket

    WICKETpublished at 77 balls

    Kapp c Dean b Glenn 26 (Invincibles 83-4)

And just like that, both set batters are out!

Marizanne Kapp went for the lofted sweep, but top edges it into the air to pick out Charlie Dean at deep backward square leg, who takes the catch comfortably.

Two big wickets in three balls for the Spirit.

  17. Invincibles 83-3published at 75 balls

Laura Harris is out there to replace Alice Capsey, so will now be the time to go for it?

Sarah Glenn is back with the ball in hand for her last set.

And it's a wicket. She was reaching for that, Alice Capsey. I don't think it was intentional from Gibson. She went seriously wide and if she'd have left that actually, Capsey, that probably would have been wide but as it is, she had the mindset of going after it and it brings about the dismissal.

  19. wicket

    WICKETpublished at 74 balls

    Capsey c Redmayne b Gibson 30 (Invincibles 82-3)

Not the best of days for Danielle Gibson, but she breaks the partnership!

Gibson has been expensive, missed a couple of chances in the field, but does take the big wicket of Alice Capsey.

It was a wide ball, but Capsey still went, only got an edge to the ball and Georgia Redmayne takes the catch behind.

They all count, but that was more about Capsey's error than it was Gibson's bowling.

You just feel if they can keep ticking along maybe for 10 more balls and then they're really going to really let loose and try and have a great back end to this innings.
