The Oval has got to be one of the greenest grounds out there.

Forget the seats, you’re not seeing this sort of foliage at too many other major sports venues.

  2. 6 runs

    Invincibles 80-2published at 71 balls

    That's more like it!

Marizanne Kapp sees Danielle Gibson's first delivery for a while like a beachball, thumps it down the ground and gets it to go just enough for a first six of the day.

  3. Invincibles 74-2published at 70 balls

Deepti Sharma bowls her third set and only four runs come from it.

Alice Capsey and Marizanne Kapp always have that promise and potential to make things happen in an instant, but this innings is progressing and they have just 30 balls left to push the accelerator down.

Danielle Gibson, whose first set went for 16 runs, is back into the attack.

Oh, that's lovely. She got into position. Alice Capsey kept that head strong and she threads the ball through the field for four.

  5. Invincibles 70-2published at 65 balls

There has not been a flurry of wickets, but the Spirit's ability to limit two batters as impressive as Alice Capsey and Marizanne Kapp takes some doing.

Capsey ends Charlie Dean's latest set with a cover drive for four, but only seven runs come off the whole set.

The Spirit should be delighted with their bowling efforts so far.

    Lauren Winfield-Hill
Oval Invincibles captain on BBC Two

It's another great occasion for us today. I think sometimes it's not always a bad thing with having too long to sit and wait for that final, almost just getting back on the horse and get playing and competing again can sometimes be a really good thing.

Hopefully we get some good runs on the board and bowl really well in the second innings.

  7. Invincibles 63-2published at 60 balls

Like Sarah Glenn before her, Eva Gray has just bowled her third set of the day.

Just two runs come from it, having started off with three dot balls.

54 after 50 deliveries. It's nicely poised here at The Oval. Win here and you go through to the final tomorrow and they'll take on the Welsh Fire.

  9. Invincibles 54-2published at 50 balls

Marizanne Kapp breaks out from a bit of pressure off Charlie Dean's bowling with a drive through the leg side for four.

A seven-run set, but at halfway, the Invincibles have managed just 54 runs so far, and the Spirit's bowlers can be happy at this stage.

And you can watch Charlie Dean's wicket with her first ball here.

  11. Invincibles 47-2published at 45 balls

Deepti Sharma shows her experience with her second set and rattles through it, ending with three dots and giving up just three runs.

Charlie Dean will return with more spin next and with her first ball of the day, took the wicket of opener Paige Scholfield.

  12. Invincibles 44-2published at 40 balls

Regardless of who it is batting, you have to be at your best to bat well against Sarah Glenn.

Marizanne Kapp needs a few balls, but does send the last of her second set away for four at the cover boundary.

A great match-up between Glenn and batters Kapp and Alice Capsey.

  13. Invincibles 39-2published at 35 balls

Harshly denied a wicket, Eva Gray still had an excellent sent, giving up just two runs.

Back with the ball in hand to bowl the next five is Sarah Glenn.

Hands on heads all over the field from the Spirit players when that catch went down.

They know how dangerous Alice Capsey can be.

  15. dropped catch

Capsey dropped on 12published at 32 balls

    Invincibles 38-2

Eva Gray almost takes a wicket.

Alice Capsey sends the shot high but does not get enough on it, and Danielle Gibson gets to the ball at long on.

She's unable to take the chance. Time will tell just how costly that drop will be.

  16. Invincibles 37-2published at 30 balls

Just two runs come from Sarah Glenn's first set of the day, as well as that big wicket of Invincibles captain Lauren Winfield-Hill.

Eva Gray is back into the attack, the first time we've seen a bowler bowl a second set today.

    Meg Lanning
London Spirit fielder on Player Mic on BBC Two

[Deepti Sharma] only came in the day before she played her first game. She's been excellent for us with bat and ball. I've not played alongside her before but it's nice to be on her side and see how she does it.

  18. wicket

    WICKETpublished at 28 balls

    Winfield-Hill c&b Glenn 17 (Invincibles 37-2)

An instant impact from Sarah Glenn!

Just three balls into her afternoon and she takes the wicket of Lauren Winfield-Hill, who had looked pretty comfortable for the Invincibles.

Winfield-Hill strikes the shot well, but just presents it straight to Glenn, who does not waste a chance like that.

  19. Invincibles 35-1published at 25 balls

That is the end of the powerplay and the London Spirit have used five different bowlers, ending with Deepti Sharma conceding just four runs.

If it isn't broke, don't fix it right?

That's exactly the thoughts of the Spirit and Heather Knight, bringing in their sixth different bowler next in the form of Sarah Glenn.

  20. Invincibles 31-1published at 20 balls

Eva Gray starts off well when replacing Charlie Dean in the attack.

Her first four balls concede just a couple of singles, but she ends her set with Alice Capsey firing back over her head and just reaching the boundary rope for four.

Another change of bowling from London Spirit now to end the powerplay and Deepti Sharma will bowl next
