Muhammad Rizwan keeps out the last ball of Jack Leach's over but this match continues to move apace.

This pitch is turning big now and as Leach just showed, that also makes the balls that don't spin more dangerous as well.

Batting out there is tough but it's not impossible, England will still be thinking around 200 is very chaseable. 250? Maybe...

It did feel like a much-needed wicket for England.

I don't know why Kamran Ghulam reviewed that, to be honest. He must have felt like he was stone dead, and he was.

    Big, big wicket!

It's the one that slides on from Jack Leach. It beats Kamran Ghulam on the inside edge and thuds into the pad at shin height.

The only question was whether he had got outside the line. He hadn't and the ball was going on to hit middle and leg barely halfway up.

    Plumb.

Has Jack Leach got the in-form Kamran Ghulam?

England think so, the umpire does too.

Struck on the front pad but the Pakistan batter reviews.

Kamran Ghulam is really putting the pressure on England now.

After sweeping for four, he pounces on a short, wide ball from Jack Leach and punches it through point for four more.

    The lead stretches beyond 150...

Pakistan were poor before lunch, but they've been good after the restart. They need runs on the board.

Four more for Kamran Ghulam on the sweep.

He gets very low and crunches Jack Leach through mid-wicket.

    Average turn in this Test:

    • 1st Innings - Jack Leach: 3.71°, Shoaib Bashir: 4.05°
    • 2nd Innings - Jack Leach: 4.96°, Shoaib Bashir: 5.16°
  10. Pak 67-3published at 20 overs

    Lead by 142

    So close for Shoaib Bashir.

It's almost a repeat of the Shan Masood and Saim Ayub wickets as the left-handed Saud Shakeel tries to turn the ball to leg, the ball turns to take the edge and heads towards second slip.

Just short of Ollie Pope this time.

Kamran Ghulam is not hanging about though, he nails a slog-sweep over mid-wicket - a couple of bounces for four.

John Petrie: This innings could be the making of Bashir. Visibly growing in confidence and taking the first three wickets can only add to that.

Well, it's good news for Ben Duckett because the sweep shot seems to be the way to go on this pitch.

Kamran Ghulam nails his latest effort and finds the boundary in front of square.

The seam experiment is over, too, Shoaib Bashir is back after a change of ends.

Jack Leach into the attack and his first ball turns plenty but slowly enough that Kamran Ghulam has time to pull out of the shot.

Had Joe Root been at the regular first-slip position, it would've gone straight to him. But he's so close to the wicketkeeper and he's got that helmet on.

It has flown past him and nearly taken him out. He ends up sprawled on the floor.

  15. dropped catch

Shakeel dropped on 2published at 18 overs

    Pak 56-3

It goes down as a drop but, really, Joe Root had no chance at slip because of how close he's had to get.

A bit of width from Brydon Carse, Saud Shakeel gets a thick edge as he tries to cut and it flies through Root's hands as he desperately tried to react in time.

I think the only way that is caught is if it had hit him and looped up to take at the second attempt.

Good start from Shoaib Bashir, who is doing what many had asked of him in the first innings and bowling that attacking line outside off stump to the right-handers.

He nearly gets one through the gate of Kamran Ghulam and the last ball of the over turns and flicks off the glove before landing safely.

I’d put my money on England successfully chasing anything below 250. It’s a bowler’s pitch but you have to imagine at least one of Duckett, Root, Brook, etc will make a big score.

Banged in short by Brydon Carse and Kamran Ghulam swivels to pull it away just behind square for four.

They're all valuable runs from here for Pakistan.

Shoaib Bashir will continue from the other end.
