Remember England will have to bat last on this pitch, which you'd think would be very difficult.

That makes this innings crucial. They can't afford to give away a big first-innings lead, thus adding to the target they'd have to chase.

Ideally they'd want to go past Pakistan but that looks a long way off right now.

The opening passage of play will be very important in determining the outcome of the play. England will try to get as close to the Pakistan score after the four late wickets yesterday evening put Pakistan into the ascendancy.

The first half hour will be crucial, they will need to take advantage of the wicket before it really does explode.

It looked like someone pressed a button at tea yesterday and the pitch just complete changed from one that looked like you could score runs on it to then being one that looked very, very difficult to bat on.

We'll have to keep our eyes on an intriguing Test in Bengaluru this morning too.

After day one was washed out by rain, India are 12-3 after 12 overs against New Zealand early on day two.

Virat Kohli was out for a duck. Rohit Sharma made only two. The pressure is on.

So much talk over the past eight days has been about this pitch.

It slept for five days during the first Test but had woken up to take the form of an unruly toddler last night.

There's plenty of turn on offer now which is making batting tricky.

Pakistan's spinners, Sajid Khan and Noman Ali in particular, dropped their speeds and were rewarded. Let's give them praise too.

At about 12:30 BST yesterday, fans were pleasantly watching Ben Duckett take England towards a first-innings lead.

45 minutes, and a collapse of four wickets for 14 runs later, it is Pakistan who have resurrected their hopes in this series.

England will resume this morning on 239-6, still 127 runs behind.
