    Shafique c Smith b Bashir 4 (Pak 9-1)

It's the tiniest murmur on Ultra-edge as the ball passes bat. It took a long time and the third umpire wanted a lot of replays but he has decided that is enough to overturn the decision.

I said England needed a bit of magic. It has come from a Ben Stokes review.

England are celebrating. They think there's a spike but it's not entirely clear.

It's not one of those concerted appeals. It's kind of a speculative one.

It certainly turned. Jamie Smith didn't appeal straight away.

    Bashir was more interested.

Has Abdullah Shafique been caught down the leg side off Shoaib Bashir?

Shoaib Bashir must know there are one or two grumbles about how he has bowled in this series. Two balls in this over are too full, another too short.

He's bowling quicker than those numbers we mentioned below at 7:14 BST.

The ball is doing all sort of things from Jack Leach at the moment. He's found a really good rhythm early.

  11. Pak 4-0published at 2 overs

    Batting is really tough here.

Jack Leach spins one so far it's travelling towards Ben Stokes at slip. Another pitches outside leg and beats off.

Stokes responds by bringing in a second slip.

It's spin from both ends for England with Shoaib Bashir brought into the attack to share this new ball.

Bashir has his collar turned up as he scurries in, attempting to rip one through the dust.

Pakistan's first runs come via a streaky top edge.

It's a tidy start from Jack Leach with one ball zipping to beat the edge of Abdullah Shafique's bat. Ben Stokes, who has two catchers on the off side plus himself at slip, cheers his spinner on.

It was a good fightback from Jack Leach and Shoaib Bashir, but Pakistan's lead is substantial on this pitch.

They are at their best when there is a bit of mayhem and chaos. So this was kind of expected. They had their desperate mode turned on and they couldn't afford to have another miserable Test match at home.

What could England chase on this pitch? 200 max?

Jack Leach is going to open the bowling which tells you a lot about the surface.

Pakistan will come out and will take their time with the bat. But they've been so poor in the second innings recently.

They will know they are on top of this game and this is their opportunity to put on a score and win this Test match.

There will be a few happier faces in the Pakistan camp right now.

Just waking up? Well England are already all out.

Wickets have continued to tumble this morning with the ball still spinning.

Brydon Carse was caught at long-on trying to add some quick runs in the fifth over and from there it was largely a procession.

Matthew Potts was bowled by one that turned sharply from Sajid Khan for six and Jamie Smith, England's last hope of a sizeable score, skied a catch trying the same thing as Carse on 21.

At that point the deficit was 104 but last pair Jack Leach and Shoaib Bashir at least managed to reduce that to 75 before Bashir was caught.

Leach ended 25 not out and Sajid finished with seven wickets.
