Seeing out this powerplay and the new ball is going to be key for Najmul Hossain Shanto and Tanzid Hasan to set up a decent foundation.

An eight-run over for Bangladesh there, comfortably the most joy they have found so far against Matt Henry.

Tanzid Hasan looks more comfortable with the pace.

Najmul Hossain Shanto has looked nervous, he needed a boundary to ease those nerves.

  7. Ban 23-0published at 4.2 overs

After a slapped three from Tanzid Hasan, captain Najmul Hosain Shanto finds his first boundary of the match.

A fuller ball from Matt Henry, Shanto drives down the ground back past Henry for four.

  8. Ban 16-0published at 4 overs

Kyle Jamieson's second over ends with the tall quick striking the top of Najmul Hossain Shanto's thigh pads, but without really troubling the stumps.

A two from Shanto is all that is added to the score from that over in what has been a quiet start for Bangladesh so far.

  9. Ban 14-0published at 3 overs

Just one run comes from that over, with Matt Henry continuing to restrict Bangladesh's two openers here.

Confidence boost for the young man, Tanzid Hasan.

Stunning stuff from Tanzid. He sees it over the boundary - that's exactly what Bangladesh want in this innings.

  11. Ban 13-0published at 2 overs

A 10-run over in the end off Kyle Jamieson's first, all coming from those two Tanzid Hasan boundaries.

Tanzid Hasan backs that four up with a six!

A lovely stroke, he gets all of that and sends Kyle Jamieson's wider delivery straight over the boundary at deep square leg.

The first really convincing shot of the day from Bangladesh.

  13. Ban 7-0published at 1.4 overs

Bangladesh's batters have not looked all that convincing so far, but that will give Tanzid Hasan plenty of confidence.

A flick into the leg side is not the cleanest, but there is enough on the shot to find four.

Najmul Hossain Shanto is out of form - he has had a couple of wild swipes and even Tanzid Hasan is looking a bit nervy. Bangladesh got a lifeline in that over. They're not looking comfortable.

That felt like a wasted review.

The ball, as expected, was pitching outside leg stump.

New Zealand's players did not seem all that interested prior to the review, barring bowler Matt Henry.

  17. New Zealand reviewpublished at 0.5 overs

In tournaments New Zealand are a team you shouldn't overlook and they've proven that over many tournaments.

They're more than capable because they have that unity within their squad.
