Summary

  1. Horley's day outpublished at 13:20 British Summer Time 3 October

New batter Priyanaz Chatterji defends the final ball of Ritu's over to leave Scotland 49-3 at the half way stage.

While the players take drinks, let's take a look back at Bangladesh's innings.

Saskia Horley was Scotland's hero with the ball, nipping in with three wickets at the end.

She then hit Scotland's first ever World Cup boundary...

That catch is easily taken, it's Khan with the safe hands. Scotland lose another. The wicket falls and perhaps, the pendulum swings.

  3. wicket

    WICKETpublished at 9.5 overs

    Lister c Rabeya b Ritu 11 (Sco 49-3)

    Lister doesn't escape this time!

Having seen the Scotland batter put down off her own bowling, Rabeya Khan makes no mistake when the ball flies to her, taking the catch at mid-off peddling back as Lister misjudged an attempted shot over the top.

A wicket for Ritu Moni in her first over, and Scotland have to be careful they don't run through all their batting here.

Nice played, could be four runs and it will be. That's a good looking shot - Ailsa Lister heads into double figures.

  5. Sco 46-2published at 9 overs

    Nicely swept!

Lister makes the most of her escape, sweeping Rabeya away for four.

Eight off the over, a decent one for Scotland.

It's been dropped! That was pretty poor, it should have been taken. It's safe to say the team who catches the high balls will do well in this competition.

  7. dropped catch

Lister dropped on threepublished at 8.1 overs

    Put down at long on!

Lister heaves Rabeya back down the ground, and it's shelled by Shorna Akter down on the boundary.

Should have been taken, but Lister is able to run two to move to five.

  8. Sco 38-2published at 8 overs

A change of ends for Fahima now.

Scotland take four singles, as they continue to move along slightly short of the required run-rate.

  9. Sco 34-2published at 7 overs

Bangladesh introduce a third spinner, and Rabeya Khan rattles through a first over that goes for three.

A Sarah Bryce single into the covers brings new batter Ailsa Lister on strike and she takes a run towards mid-wicket.

Bowled her! It was awkward for Bryce who has a look back at the pitch as she walks away. That certainly could be a significant blow for Scotland.

  11. wicket

    WICKETpublished at 6 overs

    K Bryce b Marufa Akter 11 (Sco 31-2)

    But now Kathryn Bryce departs!

The Scotland captain can consider herself somewhat unfortunate, with Marufa's ball staying low to slip under the bat and crash into the stumps.

The change of end works for Marufa.

It's running away to the boundary, and yes it gets there! Four for Katherine Bryce and it's much needed. It's relieved a bit of pressure for Scotland. There's a few Scottish flags in the crowd too.

  13. Sco 28-1published at 5 overs

    Whipped away well!

Kathryn Bryce turns Fahima for two fours in her back half of her over, the first hit past square leg, the second swept past fine leg.

There's definitely a bit of bounce off this wicket, more so for the spinners. Nahida Akter is one away from her 100th T20 wicket, so there is a big appeal there, but it is sliding down.

  15. Sco 19-1published at 4 overs

Nahida continues, and the Bryce siblings work her for five singles into the leg side.

Scotland are chasing 120, so the required rate was exactly six an over at the start of the innings - they're slightly behind after four overs, but nothing to worry about at this stage.

That's top bowling from Fahima Khatun. She is not the biggest turner of the ball, but she found a little bit to sneak it past Saskia Horley's outside edge and that's rapid hands from skipper Nigar Sultana Joty to take the bails off.

  17. Sco 14-1published at 3 overs

Captain Kathryn Bryce comes to the crease to join her younger sister Sarah.

She takes a single to square leg from her first ball.

  18. wicket

    WICKETpublished at 2.3 overs

Horley st Nigar b Fahima (Sco 12-1)

    Gone on the second attempt!

Bangladesh make a bowling change straight away, bringing in Fahima Khatun and her leg breaks, and the spinner immediately sees keeper Nigar Sultana put Saskia Horley down as an edge bounces off her fingertips.

Nigar makes no mistake two balls later, whipping off the bails after Fahima tempted Horley down the track.

  19. Sco 12-0published at 2 overs

Left-arm spinner Nahida Akter has the ball in hand at the end, bowling to Sarah Bryce who was stuck at the non-striker's end for the first over.

The Scotland keeper immediately takes a single down to long-on, and the Scotland batters work Nahida for five more runs either side of a shout for lbw that Bangladesh decide not to appeal.

There's just a bit of width there from Marufa Akter and Saskia Horley produces a lovely shot to just reach that big square boundary.
