50 partnershippublished at 12:22 British Summer Time 31 August

    Notts 199-4 v Surrey 525

Dan Worrall is wicketless so far this innings, but he's convinced he has got Jack Haynes out LBW.

The umpire's finger does not go up.

Two balls later, the ball is worked away for a couple by Haynes and that brings up a 50 partnership between him and Freddie McCann.

  2. 200 runs

200 up for Kentpublished at 12:20 British Summer Time 31 August

    Warwickshire 420 v Kent 156 & 200-7

Celebrate the milestones when they arrive, eh Kent fans?

64 more runs required to make Warwickshire bat again.

  3. wicket

WICKET Stewart lbw b Barnard 3published at 12:15 British Summer Time 31 August

    Warwickshire 420 v Kent 156 & 198-7

Ed Barnard skids one through low and Grant Stewart, clearly not 100% can't get down over it, it thuds him on the bottom of the pads and Barnard wheels away - doesn't even turn back to look for the finger going up.

Kent are 66 behind and have three wickets in hand as they seek to avoid another innings defeat.

Matt Parkinson joins Joey Evison for the salvage operation.

OHD will not take all 10 wickets in this innings.

  4. wicket

WICKET Bohannon lbw b Turner 0published at 12:14 British Summer Time 31 August

    Lancashire 200 & 9-2 v Hampshire 389

It's morning glory for Hampshire all right!

After six tight overs from Kyle Abbott, John Turner is thrown the ball and strikes second ball.

Josh Bohannon is out for a 12-ball duck, struck on the pad as he plays half forward.

Lancashire have scored 14 runs in 75 minutes and lost four wickets.

  5. Five-wicket haul for Jack Leachpublished at 12:11 British Summer Time 31 August

    Somerset 492 v Durham 336

That's that - despite Brydon Carse's brave efforts, Durham are bowled out as Jack Leach has Callum Parkinson caught at silly mid-off.

The Somerset spinner finishes with 5-124, while Carse remains undefeated on 104 and the home side have a first-innings lead of 156.

It appears, though, that Lewis Gregory has chosen not to enforce the follow-on.

  6. Division Two updatepublished at 12:09 British Summer Time 31 August

Sussex have taken a seventh Derbyshire wicket, Jack Carson removing Zak Chappell (25) for his third scalp.

Wayne Madsen is close to a century for the visitors, who are on 217-7, but he is running out of partners.

Derbyshire are still a massive 390 runs behind.

Glamorgan are on 495-7 - 244 ahead of Leicestershire, with Colin Ingram nearing 250.

Mason Crane is adding to the score too - he's on 42 not out.

  7. Postpublished at 12:09 British Summer Time 31 August

    Warwickshire 420 v Kent 156 & 195-6

6-43 from 19 overs for Ollie Hannon-Dalby in this innings so far, but his current spell is over.

Michael Rae, who is yet to pick up a pole in the match, replaces him, pristine headband gleaming in the morning sun.

Kent are still 69 in arrears. Joey Evison has 36 and enjoys batting on this ground, he had a heroic rearguard effort on the final day here last season too.

  8. 100 runs

100 for Brydon Carsepublished at 12:08 British Summer Time 31 August

    Somerset 492 v Durham 336-9

    Brydon CarseImage source, Getty Images

Superb effort by Brydon Carse, who hammers Kasey Aldridge for six to bring up his hundred!

Carse has done a fine job shielding last man Callum Parkinson, while nudging Durham closer to the follow-on target.

  9. 100 runs

100 for Sam Robsonpublished at 12:07 British Summer Time 31 August

    Yorks 601-6 dec v Middx 190-2

Sam Robson (Middlesex)Image source, Rex Features

Excellent innings by Sam Robson, who pulls Dan Moriarty to the midwicket fence to reach his third hundred of the season and the 35th of his first-class career.

Robson's ton arrives from 195 deliveries and Middlesex need a good few more today.

  10. Teenager 10 away from his tonpublished at 12:06 British Summer Time 31 August

    Notts 189-4 v Surrey 525

Freddie McCann works away a Cameron Steel ball for three down to deep square leg.

That sees him reach 90. He's getting close to that century now.

  11. Postpublished at 12:05 British Summer Time 31 August

    Essex 404 v Worcs 266 & 55-2

Simon Harmer has come into the attack and is already asking questions of this Pears pair.

Kashif Ali has already put one ball through the hands of short leg Robin Das and has just popped up another off his pads which fell agonisingly short of the diving fielder.

Harmer has also got one to scoot through very low.

A very uncomfortable morning so far for the visitors. Jake Libby remains there on 29, though he had a lucky escape with the drop from Michael Pepper early-on.

  12. wicket

WICKET Jennings lbw b Abbas 1published at 11:57 British Summer Time 31 August

    Lancashire 200 & 6-1 v Hampshire 389

And Mohammad Abbas does have his reward for his outstanding bowling!

It's the plum wicket of Keaton Jennings, too.

The Lancashire captain is undone by a super bit of bowling that comes in from round the wicket and hits him on the pad.

Judging by the celebrations on the pitch and from the Hampshire balcony, they know the importance of that wicket.

  13. wicket

WICKET: Holden c Tattersall b Bess 51published at 11:56 British Summer Time 31 August

    Yorks 601-6 dec v Middx 182-2

Breakthrough for Yorkshire as Dom Bess gets one to bounce and turn and Max Holden can only feather it through to the wicketkeeper.

Leus du Plooy is the new man in for Middlesex, who still trail by a whopping 419.

  14. Abbas and Abbott on the moneypublished at 11:55 British Summer Time 31 August

    Lancashire 200 & 6-0 v Hampshire 389

Exemplary stuff from Kyle Abbott and Mohammad Abbas here for Hampshire.

No freebies at all for Luke Wells and Keaton Jennings and plenty of 'oohs' to keep the wicketkeeper and slips interested.

A combined 71 years of age, but using all their experience to keep the batters fully tested.

  15. wicket

WICKET: Hogg c Rew b Aldridge 0published at 11:54 British Summer Time 31 August

    Somerset 492 v Durham 305-9

Kasey Aldridge has his second wicket in as many overs and Somerset need one more to wrap up this Durham innings.

Daniel Hogg edges behind and it's now up to Callum Parkinson to try and help Brydon Carse scramble another 38 to save the follow-on.

  16. OHD ON A HAT-TRICKpublished at 11:51 British Summer Time 31 August

    Warwickshire 420 v Kent 156 & 178-6

After an Ed Barnard over, which cost one run, Ollie Hannon-Dalby returns to try to complete his hat-trick...

    Joey Evison is on strike...

.. and clips off his pads towards mid-wicket.

    No run.

Ollie Hannon-Dalby has 6-38 and is one scalp away from career-best figures.

  17. dropped catch

Dropped catchpublished at 11:48 British Summer Time 31 August

    Notts 171-4 v Surrey 525

Not technically a drop this one, as Surrey captain Rory Burns does not get a touch on it, but Joe Haynes edges the ball between Burns and wicketkeeper Ben Foakes and away for four.

Burns dives to his left but the ball flashes past him.

Cameron Steel is the unlucky bowler.

  18. 50 runs

50 for Max Holdenpublished at 11:48 British Summer Time 31 August

    Yorks 601-6 dec v Middx 175-1

Max Holden (Middlesex)Image source, Rex Features

Max Holden posts his third half-century of the season, steering Dom Bess for a single to get there from 139 balls.

It's been a solid knock by the Middlesex left-hander, who might have gone first ball yesterday when he survived a chance against Bess.

  19. wicket

    WICKET Stobo c Yates b Hannon-Dalby 0published at 11:46 British Summer Time 31 August

    Warwickshire 420 v Kent 156 & 177-6

Make that six wickets. All six. 6-38.

Charlie Stobo goes first ball after going second ball in the first innings.

He gets all tangled up as Ollie Hannon-Dalby angles one in high at his thigh and loops a simple catch up to Rob Yates in the slips.

Grant Stewart, who has a shoulder niggle himself, is the new batter.

The hat-trick ball will come in OHD's next over.

  20. Ingram keeps going, and goingpublished at 11:46 British Summer Time 31 August

    Glamorgan 467-7 v Leicestershire 251

    The stamina of the man.

Colin Ingram is still at the crease for Glamorgan and is now on 236 - eyeing 250 no doubt.

He has been in for almost nine hours and faced 352 balls.

Ingram set a new Glamorgan record yesterday as he passed 1,000 first-class runs in just 13 innings this season, the fewest ever to reach the landmark.
