  1. wicket

WICKET: Lammonby c Robinson b Drissell 36published at 14:30 British Summer Time 31 August

    Somerset 492 & 100-2 v Durham 336

Second wicket falls in this Somerset second innings and it's Tom Lammonby who departs, having looked in good nick.

The left-hander plays back to George Drissell and gets a thin edge as the ball spins away from him, with Ollie Robinson snapping it up behind the stumps.

Tom gives way to another Tom, with Abell - who scored a hundred first time around - striding out to the middle.

  2. 150 runs

150 for Freddie McCannpublished at 14:29 British Summer Time 31 August

    Notts 299-4 v Surrey 525

Brilliant stuff from Freddie McCann as he hits Tom Lawes for successive boundaries.

That brings up his maiden 150, what an effort this is!

The second of those fours is an absolute corker through the offside as Lawes tries to go short.

It also brings up the 150 partnership for him and Jack Haynes.

  3. wicket

WICKET Patel lbw b Douthwaite 23published at 14:29 British Summer Time 31 August

    Glamorgan 550-9 dec v Leicestershire 251 & 34-1

    NB, 4, 4, dot, W.

Amid a chaotic over Dan Douthwaite angles one in at Rishi Patel and raps him infront of the top of off stump.

Up goes the finger and off trudges Patel. Big wicket, that.

Lewis Hill joins Ian Holland with Leicestershire 265 in arrears.

  4. Not like The Hundred!published at 14:27 British Summer Time 31 August

    Lancashire 200 & 46-4 v Hampshire 389

Lancashire's second innings effort has seen them score just 46 runs off 36 overs.

That is exactly 216 balls - more than in an entire game in The Hundred!

Imagine if a team scored about 25 in an innings, the format would never take off!!

  5. 50 runs

50 for Jack Haynespublished at 14:23 British Summer Time 31 August

    Notts 282-4 v Surrey 525

Jack Haynes battingImage source, Rex Features

A single for Jack Haynes off Will Jacks helps him to his half-century, coming off 123 balls.

It is the sixth time he has reached 50 for Notts this summer, but a first hundred for his new county has so far eluded him.

But he is doing a good job at repelling the Surrey attack today.

  6. 50 runs

50 partnership for Goldsworthy and Lammonbypublished at 14:22 British Summer Time 31 August

    Somerset 492 & 90-1 v Durham 336

Brydon Carse is hurtling in around the wicket and tests Lewis Goldsworthy with a couple of short balls which he attempts to pull and mistimes on each occasion.

The next one is pitched up, however, and the Somerset batter caresses that to the cover boundary to bring up the 50 partnership for this second wicket with Tom Lammonby.

Lammonby has 30, with Goldsworthy on 26 and the home side lead by 246.

  7. Postpublished at 14:21 British Summer Time 31 August

    Glamorgan 550-9 dec v Leicestershire 251 & 24-0

Fairly stodgy stuff at Sophia Gardens after lunch but Rishi Patel has just dipped into the textbook to pull out exhibit 1) A. of 'drive the bowler straight back past him.'

It's an off-drive, by about seven inches, off Timm van der Gugten and it races all the way to the rope for four.

    The visitors trail by 275.

  8. wicket

WICKET Hurst b Dawson 0published at 14:14 British Summer Time 31 August

    Lancashire 200 & 44-4 v Hampshire 389

Matty Hurst is the latest Lancashire batter to fall under Hampshire's spell.

The wicketkeeper is tied in knots for 18 balls, before he tries to break the shackles against Liam Dawson.

The ball misses the bat, hits the stumps and he is out for a 19-ball duck.

  9. new ball

New ballpublished at 14:14 British Summer Time 31 August

    Notts 277-4 v Surrey 525

Three overs later than it could have been taken, Rory Burns does decide to opt for the new ball.

Surrey are a bit frustrated by Freddie McCann and Jack Haynes right now.

  10. Worcestershire leadpublished at 14:12 British Summer Time 31 August

    Essex 404 v Worcs 266 & 143-5

Adam Hose sweeps Simon Harmer away for four which takes Worcestershire into the lead.

They do only have five wickets in hand, however, with the hosts trying to seize the imitative in this afternoon session.

  11. Sussex enforce follow-onpublished at 14:11 British Summer Time 31 August

    Sussex 607-8 v Derbyshire 290 & 0-0

Confirmation that Sussex have enforced the follow-on and Derbyshire will now bat again.

In the first innings, Derbyshire's top three batters scored seven between them - all from Luis Reece - with Harry Came and Brooke Guest not troubling the scorers.

They will hope to do better at the second time of asking.

  12. Penalty runspublished at 14:10 British Summer Time 31 August

    Notts 277-4 v Surrey 525

Surrey captain Rory Burns has so far declined to take the new ball on offer.

He has been spoken to by the umpires, as well. BBC Radio Nottingham's Dave Bracegirdle seems to think that Burns has been told by the umpires to quieten down his close fielders.

Whatever they have done, the Brown Caps are penalised five penalty runs for it.

  13. wicket

WICKET Jones c Elgar b Harmer 31published at 14:04 British Summer Time 31 August

    Essex 404 v Worcs 266 & 136-5

Essex players celebrate a wicketImage source, Rex Features

Simon Harmer has his first as Rob Jones gets a sweep very wrong, top-edging into the leg side for the scampering Dean Elgar to take the running catch.

Worcestershire are still two behind and how have just five wickets in hand. Brett D'Oliveira is the new man in the middle.

  14. wicket

WICKET: Du Plooy c Bess b Coad 36published at 14:04 British Summer Time 31 August

    Yorks 601-6 dec v Middx 263-4

Superb catch by Dom Bess and Leus du Plooy is on his way!

Bess is fielding short on the off side and reacts sharply as Du Plooy drives a full ball from Ben Coad, holding on with his left hand as he topples backwards.

Middlesex are four down and not yet halfway to Yorkshire's daunting first-innings total.

It's also only the second wicket to fall to a seamer so far in this match.

  15. Postpublished at 14:01 British Summer Time 31 August

    Glamorgan 550-9 dec v Leicestershire 251 & 12-0

Two balls after being dabbed to long-off for the first boundary of the innings, Timm van der Gugten gets some life out of the hybrid track as one spits up at Rishi Patel.

The ball strikes him on the left hand and loops low towards the slips but drops inches short of Sam Northeast.

Patel is getting some treatment from the Foxes physio and Northeast has trooped off for some attention after stubbing his finger on, something... the ball or the turf, one presumes.

  16. Postpublished at 14:00 British Summer Time 31 August

    Somerset 492 & 67-1 v Durham 336

Tom Lammonby has just taken three fours in quick succession off Callum Parkinson, although the last of that trio was somewhat fortunate.

Parkinson spun the ball back into the left-hander, who was playing no more than a defensive push as the ball took the edge and bounced low between wicketkeeper and slip before disappearing to the rope.

They all count, though, and Lammonby has quickly advanced to 22 from 21 balls.

  17. wicket

WICKET Flintoff c Brown b Abbas 8published at 13:55 British Summer Time 31 August

    Lancashire 200 & 39-3 v Hampshire 389

Rocky Flintoff has battled hard but Mohammad Abbas finally has his number.

The Pakistan seamer gives so little away and a hint of width gets the teenager nibbling and the nick easily carries to the wicketkeeper and the young Flintoff departs for eight off 53 balls.

Very much victory for a 34-year-old master over an apprentice 16-year old.

  18. 250 runs

250 up for Nottspublished at 13:53 British Summer Time 31 August

    Notts 251-4 v Surrey 525

A long hop from Will Jacks and Freddie McCann helps himself to four easy pickings.

His own score moves on to 123, his partnership with Jack Haynes reaches 103 and the Notts total goes past 250.

A first batting point and just a second of the match for the team in eighth.

  19. wicket

WICKET Libby c Das b Cook 65published at 13:49 British Summer Time 31 August

    Essex 404 v Worcs 266 & 130-4

Out of nothing. Jake Libby pushes at a wide one from Sam Cook and sends a catch straight to Robin Das at point.

Vital breakthrough for Essex, who still lead by eight runs...

Adam Hose joins Rob Jones to try to take Worcestershire into the black.

  20. Postpublished at 13:49 British Summer Time 31 August

    Notts 241-4 v Surrey 525

Notts have four overs to see off before the new ball will be due.

I don't think Rory Burns will hesitate in grabbing it at the first chance.
