Woooft. This is a beautiful stroke from Danni Wyatt-Hodge, timing spinner Linsey Smith through the covers. I feel like I've seen Wyatt-Hodge play that flicky cover drive a million times throughout her career.

Sophie Devine has been short of a few runs this year. She's had a massive impact with the ball and a huge impact in the dressing room though.

She has been a great acquisition for Southern Brave with all of her experience but, by her own admission, she would love to contribute with the bat. This is the perfect opportunity.

Plenty rests on Danni Wyatt-Hodge now and she will love the responsibility of what comes with that. The right-hander squeezes a drive away for four, grinning and swaggering as she goes.

10 wickets for Kate Cross in the powerplay this year - that's the most for any woman in a Hundred season.

    Ahhh. Not to be.

The hat-trick ball is a wide down the leg side and Kate Cross grins. Still, those five balls could be crucial in the outcome of this match as the powerplay ends.

That's a marvellous piece of bowling and that's what you want from your experienced players in these situations. This is a big final so big wickets are needed.

Kate Cross has read the conditions perfectly. Target the top of their stumps, nips through the gate. She has delivered, what a fantastic piece of bowling.

Kate Cross bowls Laura Wolvaardt first ball! Massive moment. It's a beauty, nipping back to hit the top of the South Africa superstars leg stump.

I just felt something was going to happen! Kate Cross has been expensive this afternoon, but she has been bowling well.

The wobble ball has almost become Kate Cross' stock ball over the last few years, especially in the shorter format of the game.

She is so consistent with it. It will nip either way and she doesn't know which way it's going to nip, nor does the batter.

But Kate Cross strikes back! She bangs it in to Maia Bouchier who cannot get enough on an attempted slap over extra cover. Bouchier goes.

    And another.

It's two sixes in a row as Danni Wyatt-Hodge lofts her England teammate Kate Cross over long-on.

Pressure released. Annabel Sutherland had been keeping things quiet as Cross and Ballinger had done before by her final ball is swung high and far by Maia Bouchier. Bouchier thumps her batting partner's gloves in celebration.

Northern Superchargers look so confident. They have that kind of body language, we saw it yesterday and on Tuesday at Headingley against Manchester Originals. They just look like such a powerful and well-oiled unit.

They have lots of variations but they are up against a high-class Southern Brave side today. Lauren Bell is in fine form at the minute, she's one for them to watch today.

  14. Brave 12-0published at 15 balls

Kate Cross does not concede a boundary in her five balls. This has been a good start for the side chasing their first title - men's or women's - in the competition.

It's now over to the great Aussie Annabel Sutherland. I'm convinced she's the best player in the world.

Northern Superchargers will be full of confidence, that's probably the only advantage of playing yesterday afternoon. They have the opportunity to take that momentum and form into this match.

Davina Perrin put out a fantastic batting performance that was backed up by the bowlers, so the bowlers will have to set the ball rolling today to disrupt what has been a brilliant tournament for Southern Brave.

After only eight balls, Grace Ballinger has been given an official warning for following through down the middle of the pitch. That's not ideal for the youngster.

It'll be Kate Cross from the Pavilion End.

Talk about setting the tone. Grace Ballinger has done just that by keeping the ball within the stumps and keeping a little bit of shape. She did really well with challenging the batters to make a stroke in that first set.

Who's going to make that first move in this final?

  18. Brave 6-0published at 6 balls

Grace Ballinger's start was so good that she's asked to keep going but this one is too full and Maia Bouchier drives the first boundary.

Davina Perrin's performance yesterday afternoon was honestly amazing. The way she manipulated the field and cleared the boundary was so impressive. She was hitting the ball into the stands, she wasn't just clearing the boundary.

She knows that yesterday doesn't matter now, she knows she has to back it up today. She's only 18 years old yet she speaks as if she's been around for a long time, so all credit to her.

  20. Brave 2-0published at 5 balls

I'll fill you in, Samuel. The pitch looks flat and there's little swing for Grace Ballinger put she concedes only a couple in a tidy start.
