Tom Lammonby attempts a flamboyant drive - the ball from Anderson Phillip whistles past the edge.

The strike is rotated and Archie Vaughan's timing is perfect as he steers the paceman from Trinidad & Tobago for four.

By way of a reminder, if Notts beat Kent, Lancashire must win this game or they will also be consigned to Division Two in 2025.

Dan Worrall with his fourth wicket to make what could be a decisive strike just after lunch!

Emilio Gay had been the only man to keep Surrey at bay but he's done from round the wicket.

Worrall gets one to nip back at him and strikes the knee roll with Gay in his crease.

Colin Ackermann still there on 20 but Durham remain 33 behind.

    Glam 239 v Yorks 361 & 249-8

Jordan Thompson does not last long pinned lbw by TVDG.

That is a sixth leg before in this innings with the other two bowled showing straight and at the stumps is the way to go.

No doubt that will be noted by the Yorkshire attack.

    Somerset 21-1 - target 393

Archie Vaughan shuffles across his stumps and flicks Tom Bailey fine for his third boundary.

    Kent 225 & 208-9 v Notts 433

Notts are on the brink of victory here, that is a fourth for Jacob Duffy and that is the best of the lot, Nathan Gilchrist missing completely and his middle stump cartwheeling.

They lead by one run which at least will make Notts strap up the pads, this is all but done.

    Glam 239 v Yorks 361 & 244-7

    Somerset 16-1 - target 393

Archie Vaughan reaches for a wide one from Anderson Phillip and it flies past third slip for four down to third man.

He didn't need to play at that one, but when Phillip drops short and wide he square cuts emphatically to the point boundary.

    Would you believe it!

    Eventful.

    Northants 383 v Leics 203 & 193-8

The partnership is broken at 101!

With spin dominating, it's taken until the 74th over for Justin Broad to br brought on.

But with his ninth delivery he seams one back between Tom Scriven's bat and pad to take out middle stump.

    Relief for Northants.

  13. Leicestershire leadpublished at 13:23 British Summer Time 19 September

    Northants 383 v Leics 203 & 193-7

This is a good fightback from the Foxes having been 92-7 and steamrolling to an innings defeat.

But plenty more to do to try and set a challenging target.

With little to lose, Scott Currie and Tom Scriven have gone on the attack and Currie lifts Yuzvendra Chahal very sweetly over long-on for his second six.

  15. Somerset 'won't be short of confidence'published at 12:58 British Summer Time 19 September

    Lancashire 140 & 398 v Somerset 146

    Anthony Gibson
    BBC Radio Somerset

Somerset had to work very hard to chisel out the last three Lancashire wickets and leave themselves with a target of 393 in five sessions to win and keep their County Championship hopes alive.

But therein lies their consolation and their hope.

Taking wickets on this pitch has become more and more difficult as the match has worn on.

Having chased down over 400 to beat Warwickshire back in July, they'll not be short of confidence against opponents for whom a win is equally important, albeit in Lancashire's case, to keep the threat of relegation at bay.

  16. Somerset facing big targetpublished at 12:56 British Summer Time 19 September

    Lancashire 140 & 398 v Somerset 146

As Somerset contemplate their target at Old Trafford, we should provide you with a little bit of context.

Should they succeed in scoring 393 to win this game, it will be the second-highest successful fourth-innings run-chase in an away Championship game in the club's history.

But they can take comfort in having made a 400+ score this season to win a game - although that was on home soil at Taunton.

    • 479-6 v Yorkshire, Taunton 2009
    • 413-5 v Warwickshire, Taunton 2024
    • 402-8 v Nottinghamshire, Taunton 2015
    • 397-5 v Sussex, Hove 2012
    • 383-5 v Surrey, The Oval 1995
  17. Yorkshire 'may have declaration to make'published at 12:49 British Summer Time 19 September

    Glamorgan 239 v Yorkshire 361 & 224-6

    Nick Webb
    BBC Radio Wales

Glamorgan’s bowlers enjoyed a belated session of dominance over Yorkshire but it looks to have come too late to prevent the promotion-chasing visitors having a real chance of victory in Cardiff, with a target of at least 400 looking likely.

Seamer James Harris led the home charge in cloudy conditions by winning lbw shouts against Finlay Bean (57), James Wharton and Jonny Bairstow.

With Timm van der Gugten bowling George Hill, Yorkshire were on the slide, but captain Jonny Tattersall and the energetic Dominic Bess steadied the ship with a half-century stand as the sun broke through - and Tattersall could after all have a declaration to make.

    Glamorgan 239 v Yorkshire 361 & 224-6

  19. Lunch at Old Traffordpublished at 12:41 British Summer Time 19 September

    Lancashire 140 & 398 v Somerset 146

The Somerset target will be 393.

George Balderson is bowled by Brett Randell for 47 to bring Lancashire's second innings to an end as the Red Rose add exactly 100 in the session to their overnight 298-7.

Balderson put on 135 with Luke Wells, who led Lancashire's resistance with a superb 130.

The situation is this - win and Somerset will still be in the titlwe race next week. Lose and Surrey will be champions if they beat Durham at The Oval.

  20. Lunch at Canterburypublished at 12:39 British Summer Time 19 September

    Kent 225 & 196-7 v Notts 433

Lunch might taste bitter for Kent who are surely staving off the inevitable clutch of relegation, still trailing by 12 runs with just three wickets in tact.

Jacob Duffy, with 3-43 had led the demolition for Notts, but Joey Evison and Akeem Jordan have at least held firm for the eighth wicket adding 40 towards the end of a damaging session.

Victory for the visitors will enable them to take a firm stride towards top flight survival and, depending on events at Old Trafford, perhaps a conclusive one.
