One by one, this season's County Championship 'issues' are being resolved.

Surrey stand on the brink of a hat-trick of titles after beating Durham at The Oval - and will be crowned champions tomorrow unless Somerset can chase down 393 against Lancashire, which would be an amazing effort with only four wickets left.

Sussex secured promotion from Division Two with their innings win in Bristol and Kent will not be a top-tier side next summer following their 10-wicket defeat by Notts.

Join us tomorrow from about 10:00 for coverage of the three remaining games.

  3. Close of play at Sophia Gardenspublished at 18:15 British Summer Time 19 September

    Glam 239 & 141-7 v Yorks 361 & 273

Yorkshire will have to come back tomorrow to finish this off after Glamorgan found some steel to halt the visitors' victory charge.

Bad light has chopped a couple of overs from the day but Glamorgan still trail by 254 runs with a target of 396 to win.

Asa Tribe will resume in the morning on 50 with James Harris for company.

Harris passed 600 first class wickets earlier in the day and finished with 5-73 while the pick of the Yorkshire bowlers has been the impressive Ben Coad with 4-30.

A win keeps Yorkshire's promotion hopes very much alive and would maintain their 15 points advantage over Middlesex, who would go back third.

But with a bit of rain forecast in the afternoon on day four they will need to hit the ground running tomorrow morning.

  4. wicket

WICKET Aldridge c Hurst b Wells 19published at 18:04 British Summer Time 19 September

    Somerset 204-6 - target 393

What a day Luke Wells has had. A century in Lancashire's second innings and he ends it by having Kasey Aldridge caught behind for 19.

That may have turned the game decisively in Lancashire's favour as Somerset still need another 189 for victory.

They must win or Surrey will become county champions. Lancashire, however, need a victory in their fight to avoid relegation.

Should be some tense cricket at Old Trafford tomorrow.

    Hampshire 462 & 204 v Worcs 273 & 117-5 - Worcs require 277

Liam Dawson takes a wicketImage source, Rex Features

A maiden over from Liam Dawson as Jake Libby blocks out every ball with pretty much exactly the same shot.

Hampshire need to take five wickets tomorrow to win this game, while it looks a tall order for Worcestershire.

There may be a weather element to think about tomorrow afternoon so Hampshire will ensure they are well rested tonight to have a real crack at taking early wickets in the morning.

  6. Postpublished at 18:00 British Summer Time 19 September

    Somerset 204-5 - target 393

A bouncer from Anderson Phillip draws James Rew into attempting a hook shot but he's too late on it and is fortunate as George Balderson is unable to catch his top edge as he dives at long leg.

Kasey Aldridge looks more assured in clipping the paceman to square leg for a single and Rew survives the final two balls of the over.

Final over of the day follows.

50 for Asa Tribepublished at 17:58 British Summer Time 19 September

    Glam 239 & 137-7 v Yorks 361 & 273

That is a gritty knock from Asa Tribe who clips a single off his legs and posts his first half century in first class cricket from 138 balls.

It will almost certainly be in a losing cause but Tribe has battled hard to give Glamorgan the chance to dream of a washout tomorrow.

    Hampshire 462 & 204 v Worcs 273 & 115-5 - Worcs require 279

Ethan Brookes grabs a couple more boundaries, he has three fours since coming in, while Jake Libby is batting very patiently.

We have three overs remaining today.

WICKET: Crane c Bean b Thompson 4published at 17:50 British Summer Time 19 September

    Glam 239 & 129-7 v Yorks 361 & 273

What a stunning catch from Finlay Bean at third slip, throwing out a right hand to snatch a fast-travelling ball inches from the turf.

Is that the turning point to get this done tonight?

  12. Postpublished at 17:50 British Summer Time 19 September

    Somerset 194-5 - target 393

It seems like a long while since we had a boundary but there is one as James Rew cover drives Anderson Phillip to the rope.

A rapid yorker follows, but Rew is alert to the danger and jabs it back to the bowler.

  13. Postpublished at 17:48 British Summer Time 19 September

    Somerset 190-5 - target 393

A long hop from Luke Wells, but James Rew can't beat Rocky Flintoff at deep mid-wicket and has to settle for a single.

Kasey Aldridge returns the strike to the left-hander with a cover drive for one and Rew is beaten by a beautifully flighted googly.

He tucks the new ball away for a couple and then chops down to third man for one to end the over. Rew is 17 not out.

  14. Postpublished at 17:45 British Summer Time 19 September

    Somerset 185-5 - target 393

Anderson Phillip is back for a final burst.

Somerset settle for survival and a single for James Rew.

    Five left.

  15. Postpublished at 17:40 British Summer Time 19 September

    Somerset 184-5 - target 393

A single to mid-wicket for James Rew. The only run off the bat in a teasing over from Luke Wells. Six more before the close.

    Hampshire 462 & 204 v Worcs 273 & 100-5 - Worcs require 294

Ethan Brookes plays a lovely shot for four to bring up 100 runs for the Pears.

It hasn't been plain sailing by any stretch but they have made it to that milestone.

Still lots of work to be done though.

    We have eight overs remaining.

  17. wicket

WICKET: Van der Gugten b Fisher 8published at 17:36 British Summer Time 19 September

    Glam 239 & 120-6 v Yorks 361 & 273

Lovely delivery from Matthew Fisher, nipping in and straightening at the last moment. Too good for VDG who nods as if to say 'fair enough'.

Just 10 overs in the day but can Yorkshire force this through tonight?

  18. Postpublished at 17:36 British Summer Time 19 September

    Somerset 182-5 - target 393

Will Williams almost spears one through Kasey Aldridge's defences but the Somerset batter brings the bat down on it in the nick of time.

Aldridge pushes a single from the final delivery to deny the seamer a maiden.

  19. Postpublished at 17:32 British Summer Time 19 September

    Somerset 181-5 - target 393

Luke Wells returns for a new spell.

How secure is Kasey Aldridge against spin?

He collects a single via the inside edge before James Rew sweeps fine and takes a couple as a diving Rocky Flintoff prevents a boundary.

  20. 50 runs

50 for Jake Libbypublished at 17:30 British Summer Time 19 September

    Hampshire 462 & 204 v Worcs 273 & 95-5 - Worcs require 299

Jake Libby goes to 50 and boy does his team need him to stay in now.

It's come from 106 balls and included five fours.

Ethan Brookes hit a maiden first-class century yesterday and he is the new batter.
