  1. Postpublished at 18:02 British Summer Time 4 May

    Leics v Northants 145-9 (target 289)

Four more for Ben Sanderson, who stands back and gives himself space to smack the ball past bowler Tom Scriven's head.

He moves to 24 off just 17 deliveries.

Just the final 144 runs for this final-wicket partnership with Harry Conway to get now then.

  2. wicket

WICKETpublished at 18:01 British Summer Time 4 May

    Organ c Ackermann b Drissell 70 (Hants 423-7 v Durham 511)

A bit of a rush of blood to the head has ended this partnership.

Felix Organ has gone for a step down the pitch and a big hit towards cow corner and edged it to Colin Ackermann at slip.

A very good innings and a partnership of 164 which has basically secured the draw.

  3. Postpublished at 17:57 British Summer Time 4 May

    Leics v Northants 135-9 (target 289)

Consecutive boundaries from Ben Sanderson, whose last two shots have been very cultured for someone batting at 10, means Northamptonshire's target has gone down slightly to 154 runs.

  4. Postpublished at 17:54 British Summer Time 4 May

    Hants 421-6 v Durham 511

This Hampshire pair are looking pretty unremovable here with Durham looking a little jaded in the field and with ball in hand.

The partnership is up to 161 runs with Ben Brown on 139 and Felix Organ on 70 and the deficit 90 runs.

  5. Postpublished at 17:52 British Summer Time 4 May

    Leics v Northants 126-9 (target 289)

Northamptonshire's Ben Sanderson hits Ian Holland over his head for four runs.

A classic heave-ho from a tailender that one.

  6. Postpublished at 17:52 British Summer Time 4 May

    Somerset 145 & 208-6 (target 321) v Essex 206 & 259

James Rew shapes for a reverse sweep and pulls it somehow to short leg. Not sure how that happens.

A good maiden over from Matt Critchley which leaves 113 still needed.

  7. 50 runs

50 for Rewpublished at 17:47 British Summer Time 4 May

    Somerset 145 & 207-6 (target 321) v Essex 206 & 259

A controlled edge through gully region which has raced to the rope and brought up James Rew's half-century and the Somerset 200.

And he has bettered it with a perfectly timed clip off his legs for another boundary to take them to within 114 of victory.

  8. Postpublished at 17:45 British Summer Time 4 May

    Somerset 145 & 199-6 v Essex 206 & 259

Matt Critchley has a shout for an lbw against James Rew which is turned down, probably rightly as it looked a little leg side.

And now Rew has slapped him through mid on for a boundary and finished with a single to keep the strike.

Six overs left tonight (assuming there are no further wickets down).

  9. wicket

WICKETpublished at 17:43 British Summer Time 4 May

    McManus lbw b Scriven 17 (Leics v Northants 118-9, target 289)

Two in the over for Leicestershire's Tom Scriven!

He traps Lewis McManus plumb in front and umpire Lloyd makes an easy decision.

Last man in for the visitors is Harry Conway. Northamptonshire still trail by 180.

  10. 'Potts has tried his absolute heart out'published at 17:42 British Summer Time 4 May

    Hants 404-6 v Durham 511

    Kevan James

Not a good time to be a bowler in these past three days.

They've toiled away and Matthew Potts for me has been really impressive, he has tried his absolute heart out and deserves better figures than he's got in this game.

He's made the batters hurry on a pretty slow pitch.

  11. wicket

WICKETpublished at 17:39 British Summer Time 4 May

    Harrison c Cox b Scriven 20 (Leics v Northants 115-8, target 289)

With his first ball back in the attack, Tom Scriven strikes!

After missing the outside edge a number of times, Calvin Harrison finally nicks one behind to wicketkeeper Ben Cox who takes his fifth catch of the match.

Division Two leaders Leicestershire are on the brink now. Just two more wickets needed.

  12. Postpublished at 17:38 British Summer Time 4 May

    Somerset 145 & 193-6 (target 321) v Essex 206 & 259

Simon Harmer is off and Matt Critchley is replacing him.

The right-arm spinner rattles through his overs quickly and his fifth ball has scuttled through and hit the helmet for five runs.

A break for Somerset and prompts a move of the offending item a few yards further back.

  13. 'Brown and Organ have not let Drissell settle'published at 17:37 British Summer Time 4 May

    Hants 389-6 v Durham 511

    Emily Windsor
    BBC Radio Solent commentator

Both Ben Brown and Felix Organ have made an effort not to let George Drissell settle into his spell.

I feel like they've played him nicely and aggressively, making Alex Lees think in terms of his field positions.

But they are just ticking away.

  14. Elsewhere in Division Two...published at 17:37 British Summer Time 4 May

Gloucestershire's 500 is up at Old Trafford with Ollie Price moving on to 220.

His brother Tom went for 32 a few moments ago, but the visitors are well placed on 505-7 and a lead of 55.

Zain ul Hassan and Colin Ingram have led Glamorgan's second-innings recovery against Derbyshire. A fourth-wicket stand of 67 has taken the Welsh county to 82-3 and a lead of 163.

Middlesex are in pursuit of 365 to beat Kent, but have already lost a wicket. Sam Robson was bowled by George Garrett and they're 16-1.

  15. Postpublished at 17:36 British Summer Time 4 May

    Leics v Northants 114-7 (target 289)

A zippy delivery from Tom Scriven beats Lewis McManus all ends up but misses the edge and flies through to Ben Cox behind the stumps.

Leicestershire are still in search of these final three wickets, around 45 minutes since they claimed their last.

Northamptonshire, who are quietly ticking along, still require 175 runs in their unlikely pursuit of victory.

  16. 50 runs

50 for Organpublished at 17:32 British Summer Time 4 May

    Hants 389-6 v Durham 511

Felix Organ has bullied George Drissell for four and now edges slightly fortunately past slip for what has been a very important half century.

The partnership with Ben Brown is up to 126 and the deficit is down to 122.

  17. Postpublished at 17:27 British Summer Time 4 May

    Somerset 145 & 185-6 (target 321) v Essex 206 & 259

How hard can this Somerset tail wag? Well Craig Overton averages 21, Josh Davey 20, Migael Pretorius 28 and Jack Leach 14.

That's 83 and they need 136 from here.

Can one or all of them step up and produce over the odds and can James Rew weigh in with the rest?

    This is poised nicely.

  18. 'It's hard to be critical of Gregory'published at 17:25 British Summer Time 4 May

    Somerset 145 & 179-6 v Essex 206 & 259

    Paul Newton
    BBC Essex sport

Lewis Gregory played on a thick inside edge and he held the pose in annoyance with himself because there wasn't a great deal in the delivery that really should have brought an end to the partnership.

He played so well, it's awfully hard to be critical.

We were in a phase of the game where you felt that if a wicket fell it would be batsman error and I'm afraid that's what it was.

  19. 100 runs

100 for Northantspublished at 17:23 British Summer Time 4 May

    Leics v Northants 103-7 (target 289)

100 is up for Northamptonshire after Lewis McManus clatters down the ground for four.

Fair play to the visitors who have not folded since losing their seventh wicket and the partnership between McManus and Calvin Harrison is now worth 25.

  20. Postpublished at 17:14 British Summer Time 4 May

    Leics v Northants 90-7 (target 289)

Another big appeal for LBW from behind the stumps and Ben Green who traps Calvin Harrison in front but nothing doing for umpire Lloyd this time.

    That one looked very close.
