  1. 'Lovely outswing from Flintoff'published at 12:41 BST 16 September

    Leics 151-2 v Kent

    Richard Rae
    BBC Radio Leicester Sport

Lovely swing from Corey Flintoff but what he hasn't done yet really is bring one back off the seam, make the batsman worried in that respect.

But he can do both. There's been some lovely outswing from him, he's bowling beautifully at the moment.

  2. Lunch at Edgbastonpublished at 12:41 BST 16 September

    Warwicks v Essex 90-1

Dean Elgar batting for EssexImage source, Rex Features

A good morning for Essex after they lost the toss and were asked to bat.

There's been some playing and missing but the home side only have the wicket of Paul Walter so far.

Dean Elgar has been doing Dean Elgar things to go to lunch at 44 not out.

The Bears need wickets if they're to force their way into the title race.

  3. Division Two updatepublished at 12:35 BST 16 September

Another one gone at Derby with Glamorgan skipper Sam Northeast lbw to Zak Chappell for 25. The Welsh county are 57-3 in the 23rd over.

Northants are 84-3 after 27 against Gloucestershire with Lewis McManus 36 not out as a makeshift opener and Saif Zaib has 16.

  4. Lunch at The Ovalpublished at 12:34 BST 16 September

    Surrey 141-6 v Notts 231

Lyndon James runs away to celebrate a wicket for Notts at SurreyImage source, Rex Features

    What a morning!

A 50 partnership between Rory Burns and nightwatchman Tom Lawes seemed to set things up for Surrey but Notts have come roaring back.

When Lyndon James finally got rid of Lawes it precipitated a rush of five wickets for 28 runs including those of Burns, Ben Foakes, Dan Lawrence and Ollie Pope.

James has starred with three wickets with Brett Hutton taking two.

Surrey still trail by 90 runs.

    Engrossing stuff.

  5. Postpublished at 12:31 BST 16 September

    Leics 134-2 v Kent

Little margin for error on this pitch, it would appear, and Rishi Patel stands tall and punches Corey Flintoff away to the cover boundary before pinching a single from the next. He advances to 76 not out.

  6. Postpublished at 12:30 BST 16 September

    Warwicks v Essex 84-1

A big shout from Olly Hannon-Dalby as he thwacks one into Dean Elgar's pads but it's not out.

We've got 10 minutes until the interval.

  7. Postpublished at 12:29 BST 16 September

    Surrey 137-6 v Notts 231

Tom Curran drives in the air for four runs down the ground.

Dillon Pennington then goes past his edge.

Every ball seems to have something going on.

  8. wicket

WICKETpublished at 12:28 BST 16 September

    Rew b Fuller 30 (Somerset 69-4 v Hants)

Big wicket for Hants but James Rew will be disappointed he was not more positive here.

James Fuller has been tidy in his three overs and he hangs one outside off stump that Rew prods at, getting an inside edge on to his stumps.

He tilts his head back and looks at the sky as he walks off as he was looking good for his 30 runs.

  9. Postpublished at 12:27 BST 16 September

    Sussex v Yorks 77-1

A show of intent by Mayank Agarwal.

A low full toss from spinner Jack Carson is lofted down the ground by the Indian but it falls just inside the rope and he has to settle for four.

  10. 'Flintoff's first ball was a good one'published at 12:27 BST 16 September

    Leics 123-2 v Kent

    Richard Rae
    BBC Radio Leicester Sport

Corey Flintoff's first ball in first-class cricket was a good one. He is a tall right-hander and it was straight on off stump.

  11. Postpublished at 12:27 BST 16 September

    Surrey 132-6 v Notts 231

Ryan Patel plays and misses at the final ball of the latest over from Lyndon James.

Surrey do bat deep but Notts have burst through the middle order.

It's all a far cry from the 50 partnership we saw between Rory Burns and Tom Lawes.

Dillon Pennington returns to the attack for the visitors.

  12. 'This can happen'published at 12:25 BST 16 September

    Surrey 131-6 v Notts 231

    Mark Church
    BBC Radio London commentator

We've seen it here before - you can get a rush of wickets. If you get it right with the ball, this can happen.

Lyndon James has put it on a good length with a little bit of movement away and Ollie Pope looked for the drive - big edge, Freddie McCann with a very safe catch at second slip.

This brings out Tom Curran for his first innings of the Championship summer

  13. Flintoff into attack for Kentpublished at 12:24 BST 16 September

    Leics 123-2 v Kent

Now then - a big moment for Corey Flintoff, his first bowl in a County Championship game.

He certainly doesn't appear to have the pace of his dad but the first one is on target and dead batted by Rishi Patel.

  14. rain stops play

Rain stops play at Old Traffordpublished at 12:23 BST 16 September

    Lancs v Middx 13-2

    This is frustrating.

No sooner had Lancashire got sight of Middlesex captain Leus de Plooy and they are off as a heavy shower sweeps in.

  15. 'Notts have turned it around'published at 12:23 BST 16 September

    Surrey 131-6 v Notts 231

    Mark Church
    BBC Radio London commentator

Credit goes to Notts. I think they didn't get it right in the first hour but they've turned it around now.

So there is some work for Ryan Patel to do alongside Tom Curran.

  16. Postpublished at 12:22 BST 16 September

    Surrey 131-6 v Notts 231

Tom Curran has joined Ryan Patel at the wicket for Surrey.

This game has been turned on its head.

    Lyndon James has 3-30.

The home side still trail by 100 runs.

We won't even talk about tomorrow's weather forecast...

  17. wicket

WICKETpublished at 12:19 BST 16 September

    Hollman c Jones b Anderson 9 (Lancs v Middx 12-2)

    And that is vintage Anderson...

Over the wicket, angled across the left-hander Luke Hollman, pitched just short enough to draw the bat forward then leaves the pitch, takes the edge and settles in Michael Jones's hands at first slip.

    Beautiful.

  18. wicket

WICKETpublished at 12:18 BST 16 September

    Bean c Simpson b Hudson-Prentice 27 (Sussex v Yorks 69)

    Gone.

Finlay Bean slashes at a ball from FHP and edges through to the keeper - he'll be unhappy with himself about that one.

India's Mayank Agarwal comes out at number three and, unlike his golden duck last week, is immediately away with a single.

  19. Division Two updatepublished at 12:18 BST 16 September

Northants have lost their third wicket at Bristol, with James Sales brilliantly caught at first slip by Ben Charlesworth off Josh Shaw - they are 71-3 in the 23rd over against Gloucestershire.

Glamorgan are 47-2 in the 19th against Derbyshire, with Sam Northeast 21 not out and Kiran Carlson on 11.

  20. wicket

WICKETpublished at 12:17 BST 16 September

    Pope c McCann b James 11 (Surrey 129-6 v Notts 231

    Lyndon JamesImage source, Rex Features

    Oooh, risky from Ollie Pope.

He shoulders arms to a Lyndon James delivery and there's a loud shout for lbw but it's not quite doing enough.

    Oh, out next ball!

James finds the edge and the England vice-captain has to go and punches his bat as he walks away.

Five wickets have fallen for 28 runs.

Two bowling points for Notts as well.
