  1. Back under way at Tauntonpublished at 11:47 BST 16 September

    Someret 35-2 v Hants

The players are back on and James Rew is making up for lost time flicking Keith Barker dismissively off his legs for six.

Somerset are still in T20 mode and given how much of the game was lost on day one (ie. all of it) that could be no bad thing.

    Leics 99-1 v Kent

Michael Cohen returns for a second burst and is driven through mid-off for four by Rishi Patel, who reaches 50 from 63 balls.

Patel then finds the mid-wicket boundary before being surprised by one which bounces more than he expected and he is fortunate to pick up four more to third man as the ball flies over the slips.

    Brett HuttonImage source, Rex Features

    One brings two...

Brett Hutton gets one to shape back into Rory Burns and it smacks into his pads - that's out.

Two wickets in the space of two runs for Notts.

    Here comes Ben Foakes.

  4. 'Encouraging for Potts'published at 11:45 BST 16 September

    Durham v Worcs 49-2

It was a loose shot from Kashif Ali he will be disappointed with himself because he has played some lovely shots.

Matthew Potts was just a bit quick and it's encouraging for him. It a big couple of weeks for him one would imagine.

  5. Postpublished at 11:43 BST 16 September

    Leics 87-1 v Kent

There are far too many four-balls being offered by Kent and there is another as Ian Holland flicks Grant Stewart to fine leg.

There is some movement there, but the lack of a consistent line and length is costing Kent over five runs per over - with 17 gone.

  6. Postpublished at 11:42 BST 16 September

    Surrey 102-2 v Notts 231

Ollie Pope is off the mark to his first delivery with a big drive that he miscues to the leg side and takes a single.

A successful over for Notts and Lyndon James.

    The deficit is 129 runs.

    Lawes c Haynes b James 22 (Surrey 101-2 v Notts 231)

Lyndon James celebrating the wicket of Tom LawesImage source, Rex Features

    Notts needed that.

Lyndon James pitches one up after those two short ones and Tom Lawes drives it to Jack Haynes at cover.

Still, a good job done by Lawes this morning.

    Ollie Pope is in.

  8. Women's One-Day Cup updatepublished at 11:40 BST 16 September

The Blaze have made an excellent start to their semi-final against Lancashire at Trent Bridge.

Orla Prendergast has just removed Alice Clarke for 17 and Lancashire are 52-4 in the 18th over.

  9. wicket

WICKETpublished at 11:40 BST 16 September

    Kashif Ali c Bedingham b Potts 10 (Durham v Worcs 49-2)

Good captaincy from Alex Lees brings an important wicket for Durham.

Not only has he been rewarded for switching Matthew Potts back into the attack but David Bedingham snaffles this standing at a wide third (standing at fourth) slip position.

Kashif Ali is a wicket Durham wanted and his reprieve on nought, dropped by Emilio Gay at second slip off Sam Connors, has not cost too much.

  10. 100 runs

100 up for Surreypublished at 11:39 BST 16 September

    Surrey 101-1 v Notts 231

Two boundaries for Tom Lawes as Notts test him out with a couple of short balls from Lyndon James.

Lawes does have two first-class fifties so he's no mug.

  11. Restart imminent at Tauntonpublished at 11:39 BST 16 September

    Somerset 35-2 v Hants

Play is set to resume at 11:45 after a short delay for rain.

  12. Postpublished at 11:37 BST 16 September

    Durham v Worcs 47-1

Boundaries are starting to flow a little with five in the last three overs from Ben Raine and Sam Connors.

Durham skipper Alex Lees has decided to pull Raine from the attack for the time being with Matthew Potts asked to block things up a little.

  13. 50 runs

    50 partnershippublished at 11:34 BST 16 September

    Surrey 92-1 v Notts 231

Rory Burns and Tom Lawes bring up a 50 stand.

Lawes (13*) has done well as nightwatchman with his skipper Burns (47*).

    Frustrating for Notts.

  14. 'A loose shot from Paul Walter'published at 11:33 BST 16 September

    Warwicks v Essex 51-1

    Dermot Reeve
Ex-Warwickshire cricketer on BBC Radio WM

It was a loose shot from Paul Walter.

It wasn't a great delivery from Nathan Gilchrist but it did have pace on it and it had that bit of width that encouraged Walter to play an extravagant square drive.

A conventional opening batter would have just left that.

  15. dropped catch

Kashif Ali dropped on 0published at 11:32 BST 16 September

    Durham v Worcs 42-1

Sam Conners is looking lively and might have had a first wicket as Kashif Ali flashes one though the hands of Emilio Gay at second slip to get off the mark.

The Pears batter rubs a little salt in the wound with a powerful backfoot punch through extra cover.

  16. Division Two updatepublished at 11:31 BST 16 September

Northants are now 34-0 after 13 overs, having been put in by Gloucestershire in Bristol, with Luke Procter 21 not out.

The start was delayed at Old Trafford, but Lancashire hope to get their game against Middlesex under way at noon.

  17. Postpublished at 11:29 BST 16 September

    Sussex v Yorks 30-0

Sean Hunt is guilty, not for the first time in this spell, of providing too much width and Finlay Bean, like partner Adam Lyth before him, cracks it away to the point boundary. He moves into double figures.

  18. 'A shot that was not been well executed'published at 11:26 BST 16 September

    Durham v Worcs 25-1

    Melinda Farrell
Sports broadcaster/journalist on BBC Hereford & Worcester

That was one of those dismissals where people will say that it's a really unlucky way to get out. I don't think it is the old leg side strangle because in the end it's a shot that's not been well executed [by Jake Libby].

  19. wicket

    Walter c Davies b Gilchrist 25 (Warwicks v Essex 51-1)

The Essex 50 has just come up and it's followed by the first wicket of the morning.

Paul Walter gets an inside edge to one from Nathan GIlchrist and Alex Davies does the rest behind the stumps.

The Essex skipper Tom Westley is in.

  20. wicket

    Ul-Hassan c Guest b Aitchison 6 (Derbys v Glamorgan 13-2)

Both Glamorgan openers gone in the space of seven balls.

Zain Ul-Hassan edges to the keeper and Ben Aitchison has his first victim of the game.
