  1. Fifth batting point for Leicestershirepublished at 17:43 BST 16 September

    Leics 451-6 v Kent

Louis Kimber may be the last batter you want to see when you have conceded well over 400 runs in a day - remember his 243 off 127 balls against Sussex last summer?

He clips George Garrett for four and is quickly into double figures. Leicestershire have maximum batting points.

    Green b Abbott 8 (Somerset 347-7 v Hants)

Kyle Abbott enjoys this and also takes the opportunity to give Ben Green directions back to the pavilion.

Green had creamed a cracker through the covers three balls previous which had raised the temperature under the South African's collar.

But he has been undone all ends up here, a delivery which starts well outside off stump snakes back through the gate and hits the top of off.

  3. Postpublished at 17:39 BST 16 September

    Surrey 173 v Notts 231 & 175-6

The Notts lead goes to 233 runs at the end of the latest Dan Worrall over.

That means Surrey will have to make the biggest score of the game to win it.

The new ball comes good for Kent.

Shan Masood pushes out at a delivery he probably didn't need to play and the catch is safely taken at second slip.

Masood and Ben Cox - who is 91 not out - put on 161 for the sixth wicket.

  5. 'Just when his side needed it'published at 17:33 BST 16 September

    Surrey 173 v Notts 231 & 169-6

    Dave Bracegirdle
    BBC Radio Nottingham commentator

A very big 'well done' to Liam Patterson-White with his 50. A really good innings here, just when his side needed it.

That's a terrific knock with a lot of guts shown out there.

  6. Division Two latestpublished at 17:32 BST 16 September

Gloucestershire have lost their second wicket, with Ben Phillips caught off Justin Broad for 11, and are 36-2 after 16 overs after bowling out Northants for 206.

Glamorgan are pushing towards a batting point at Derby - they are 237-8 in the 81st over, with James Harris 21 not out and Andy Gorvin on 13.

  7. Women's One-Day Cup updatepublished at 17:30 BST 16 September

Lancashire are through to Sunday's final after a thrilling five-run win over The Blaze at Trent Bridge.

The home side began the final over needing nine runs to reach their target of 242 but Kathryn Bryce was caught for 124 and Grace Potts bowled Cassidy McCarthy with her next delivery as they came up short on 236-9.

Ailsa Lister (96) and Ellie Threlkeld (92) earlier led Lancashire to 241-6 and they will now face either Hampshire or Surrey, who meet on Wednesday.

  8. 'Faboulus for Aldridge'published at 17:28 BST 16 September

    Somerset 328-6 v Hants

    Annie Chave
    BBC Somerset

It's fabulous for Kasey Aldridge to get his highest score in first-class cricket in the last game here at Somerset.

  9. new ball

New ball at Leicesterpublished at 17:28 BST 16 September

    Leics 432-5 v Kent

Will a new cherry bring some relief for Kent?

Joey Evison will be the first to try it out - he has figures of 2-60 so far.

  10. 50 runs

    50 for Liam Patterson-Whitepublished at 17:28 BST 16 September

    Surrey 173 v Notts 231 & 169-6

    Liam Patterson-White goes to 50.

It's only the second half century of the game but this one is absolutely vital to Notts' hopes.

    The lead is 227 runs.

  11. wicket

WICKETpublished at 17:27 BST 16 September

    Carter c Bairstow b Milnes 16 (Sussex 47-3 v Yorks 194)

    Yorkshire fighting back well here.

Oli Carter edge is dropped by first slip, but the ball lands on keeper Jonny Bairstow's foot and he grabs it in the gloves as it bounces up.

  12. wicket

WICKETpublished at 17:26 BST 16 September

    Allison c Yates b Bamber 98 (Warwicks v Essex 286-5)

    Agony for Charlie Allison.

He'd been in the nineties for more than 40 minutes but Charlie Allison edges Ethan Bamber through to Rob Yates in the slips.

For the first time in his short first-class career, Charlie Allison fails to convert a 50 into a century.

Noah Thain joins Michael Pepper at the wicket.

  13. 'Well batted Tom Abell'published at 17:25 BST 16 September

    Somerset 320-6 v Hants

    Anthony Gibson
    BBC Radio Somerset

There was a little bit of turn for Felix Organ that is the consolation but well batted Tom Abell.

A good piece of bowling to remove him.

  14. Postpublished at 17:24 BST 16 September

    Surrey 173 v Notts 231 & 165-6

Liam Patterson-White picks off a short one from Gus Atkinson for four runs.

The partnership is worth 76 runs.

That's the highest of the whole game.

    Notts lead by 223 runs.

  15. wicket

WICKETpublished at 17:20 BST 16 September

    Abell b Organ 118 (Somerset 320-6 v Hants)

The end of a fine, fine innings.

Tom Abell has batted quite brilliantly – a fact acknowledged by a warm reception from the Taunton faithful as he walks – but he has dragged Felix Organ's delivery on to his stumps.

To be fair to the bowler, who floated one well outside off stump, he held it back a touch and made Abell reach before finding the inside edge.

Abell can be content he has put his side in a good position after coming out when the opposite was true at 43-3.

  16. Postpublished at 17:19 BST 16 September

    Leics 424-5 v Kent

Full toss from Corey Flintoff and although Ben Cox doesn't time it perfectly, that's another four runs. Flintoff attempts a yorker and Cox clips it to long leg for a single.

  17. wicket

WICKETpublished at 17:19 BST 16 September

    Cracknell b Bohannon 6 (Lancs v Middx 132-6)

Josh Bohannon does not bowl often and has got only 16 first class wickets but perhaps he should a bit more because that was a cracker.

He has sent this down leg stump line and it has straightened on Joe Cracknell and hit the top of off stump.

The batsman has given him the compliment of standing and staring at the pitch as he wheeled away in celebration.

  18. Women's One-day Cup updatepublished at 17:16 BST 16 September

The Blaze need 19 off the final two overs to beat Lancashire and reach the final.

    Scorecard updates available here.

  19. Postpublished at 17:12 BST 16 September

    Leics 408-5 v Kent

There have now been 64 boundaries struck by Leicestershire today.

It really is looking like the top of Division Two v the bottom side.

A drinks break for the two batters - Shan Masood is 78 not out and Ben Cox has 72 off just 69 balls.

Kasey Aldridge has reached a second first class century

Kasey Aldridge brings up his second first class century with a single off Felix Organ, joining teammate Tom Abell on three figures.

It has been taken 155 balls and has included 11 fours and three sixes.

It has also been a long slog for all-rounder Aldridge who made his first first class century against Lancashire (101*) at Old Trafford back in May 2023.

That match petered out to a draw but Aldridge will be hoping his effort here can contribute to a Somerset win given what is at stake.

They are already up to two batting points.
