  1. 150 runs

150 up for Nottspublished at 17:10 BST 16 September

    Surrey 173 v Notts 231 & 151-6

Liam Patterson-White slaps one away for another boundary.

Dan Worrall returns to the Surrey attack.

Batting suddenly looks a lot more comfortable.

  2. 400 up for Leicestershirepublished at 17:10 BST 16 September

    Leics 403-5 v Kent

Ben Cox cover drives a weary-looking Corey Flintoff for four as the Leicestershire total reaches 400 at Grace Road. Four batting points now and they have loads of overs in hand to make it a full house.

The stand with Shan Masood is now worth 125.

  3. Postpublished at 17:08 BST 16 September

    Surrey 173 v Notts 231 & 147-6

Surrey have just announced they've gone over the 80,000 mark for the number of people watching County Cricket at their home games this season.

That's a 21st century record at The Oval.

When they played Essex earlier this season the four days saw more than 14,000 in attendance.

Offering free entry after tea is no doubt a really good marketing ploy.

That feels like a significant milestone as Notts scamper two leg byes and bring up the 200 lead.

How many more makes them safe do we think?

  5. 'Yorkshire have the measure of Sussex batting line-up'published at 17:04 BST 16 September

    Sussex 34-2 v Yorks 194

    Jonathan Doidge
    BBC Radio Leeds cricket commentator

Although it's not been a great day for Yorkshire with the bat but one thing that they do know is that they do have the measure of this Sussex line-up on a few occasions in the last few seasons.

They've not won all the matches against them, Sussex have beaten Yorkshire as well but there has been a few matches where they have shown that they can be brittle.

    Surrey 173 v Notts 231 & 140-6

Lyndon James (37*) in partnership with Liam Patterson-White (30*) is giving Notts a real shot at winning this game.

They have shared a 50-run partnership for this seventh wicket.

    Notts lead by 198 runs.

  7. Postpublished at 17:04 BST 16 September

    Durham v Worcs 265-4

Worcs may not have much to fight for with relegation looking locked in but they are certainly not giving up the fight as the shadows begin to stretch here at CLS.

Brett D'Oliveira has 64 and Gareth Roderick is on 67, the pair having put on 126 for the fifth wicket, and they have succeeded in flattening Durham who look a little out of ideas.

  8. wicket

WICKETpublished at 17:01 BST 16 September

    de Caires c Hurst b Bailey 52 (Lancs v Middx 120-5)

Nice length and shaped away nicely by Tom Bailey. Josh De Caires follows it with his bat and edges a regulation catch behind to Matty Hurst.

  9. 'The lead is looking a little dangerous now'published at 16:58 BST 16 September

    Surrey 173 v Notts 231 & 131-6

    Roland Butcher
Former England batter on BBC Radio Surrey

Every run now from Nottinghamshire will give Surrey a decision to make in terms of where to place their fielders.

When do they attack or when do they defend?

It could mean more and more players are placed in defensive positions.

  10. 'A good time to be batting'published at 16:58 BST 16 September

    Somerset 283-5 v Hants

    Kevan James
    BBC Radio Solent commentator

This wicket does feel like a good time to be batting, whether it's stays like this as the next couple of days come and go, I don't know.

I think Hampshire will hope so in the situation that they find themselves in - 99-5 at one stage looked to be a decent position for the visitors but it doesn't look quite so good now.

  11. wicket

WICKETpublished at 16:57 BST 16 September

    Haines lbw Milnes 20 (Sussex 26-2 v Yorks 194)

Matt Milnes may be heading back to Kent next season but he's certainly giving his all for Yorkshire in these final few weeks of the season and a loud lbw shout against Tom Haines is rewarded with the Sussex opener's wicket.

  12. Postpublished at 16:57 BST 16 September

    Surrey 173 v Notts 231 & 133-6

Surrey give the old 'we want the ball changed' routine again.

This time it doesn't go through the gauges the umpires use so we'll get it changed.

Two boxes come out for Nigel Llong and Ian Blackwell to choose one that is closest to the age and condition of this one.

They've found one - can Surrey break this useful seventh-wicket partnership?

  13. Division Two updatepublished at 16:56 BST 16 September

Ben removes Ben - Sanderson has bowled Charlesworth at Bristol and Gloucestershire are 19-1, replying to Northamptonshire's 206 all out.

Glamorgan have lost another wicket at Derby with Timm van der Gugten caught behind off Ben Aitchison for 37 - his side are 206-8.

  14. 50 runs

    50 partnershippublished at 16:54 BST 16 September

    Warwicks v Essex 262-4

Michael Pepper (18*) times one for four runs.

It brings up a 50 partnership with Charlie Allison who is eight runs short of a fourth century of the season.

  15. 'Magnificent innings from a magnificent cricketer'published at 16:53 BST 16 September

    Somerset 273-5 v Hants

    Anthony Gibson
    BBC Radio Somerset

A third century of the season for Tom Abell and it's gone down well with the home crowd here at Taunton.

A magnificent innings yet again from a magnificent cricketer.

  16. 'Bean is a good grabber in the slips'published at 16:51 BST 16 September

    Sussex 20-1 v Yorks 194

    Jonathan Doidge
    BBC Radio Leeds cricket commentator

Daniel Hughes has had some runs against Yorkshire but I think the picture overall has not been a great one for him against the White Rose previously.

Finlay Bean has experience as a wicket keeper, he's a good grabber in the slips, he's not seen many hit the grass and he managed to get his fingers fully underneath that.

Tom Abell has three centuries this season

Tom Abell has batted absolutely beautifully here and he has brought up three figures with a lovely clipped effort which races off his bat to the midwicket boundary.

Having joined the fray at 43-3 the former skipper has steered his side into a position of strength, ably assisted by Kasey Aldridge who could well join him on three figures.

It continues a fine run of form given his 130 against Yorkshire here at Taunton last week and it is saluted by a group of pals in the stands who serenade him loudly.

  18. new ball

New ballpublished at 16:50 BST 16 September

    Warwicks v Essex 257-4

    Warwickshire take the new ball.

Ethan Bamber gets first go with it.

Kathryn Bryce has reached a century for The Blaze, but Georgia Elwiss was out for 55, caught at short third, and they need 53 from eight and half overs to reach their target of 242 against Lancashire.

  20. Division Two updatepublished at 16:46 BST 16 September

Derbyshire are striving to try and polish off Glamorgan's first innings but the Welsh county are now 205-7, with Timm van der Gugten 37 not out.

Gloucestershire have begun their reply to Northants' 206 all out and are 8-0 in the sixth over with Ben Charlesworth and Joe Phillips still together.
