    Worcs 212 & 183-4 v Surrey 490

A full toss from Dan Lawrence is swept by Adam Hose, but committed fielding in the deep restricts the Worcestershire batsman to two.

Another over ticks by and there are 11 more to be bowled. Looks like Surrey will have to wait till day four to try and finish the job.

  2. Postpublished at 17:37 British Summer Time 25 June

    Notts 360 & 140-0 v Somerset 470

Two first-class wickets to Andy Umeed's name in his career thus far, but his 50-over bowling showed more promise in recent years.

Number One on his back, primarily off-spin to start with to the left-hander, who he turned a couple away from in his first over; I do not believe Ben Slater would ever have faced Umeed before without checking...

  3. Warwickshire start the final innings 'chase'published at 17:32 British Summer Time 25 June

    Warwks 254 & 2-0 v Hants 298 & 453-6 declared

Keith Barker opens up to Will Rhodes, Alex Davies at the non-striker's end, no Rob Yates in this one remember.

12 overs for the Bears to get through today.

    498 the target!

Short and sweet stay for Ben Raine.

He goes to sweep Simon Harmer second ball and just picks out the fielder at deep midwicket.

Durham lead by 385 with three wickets remaining.

  5. Umeed gets a bowlpublished at 17:30 British Summer Time 25 June

    Notts 360 & 134-0 v Somerset 470

    Andy UmeedImage source, Rex Features

Yes it has come to that already, after just 42 overs.

No mug of course, do not forget his One-Day Cup heroics with ball as well as bat.

And he will mix up off breaks and leg breaks, but it is a win for Notts that Somerset have turned to a part-timer as early as the 42nd over.

  6. wicket

WICKET Borthwick c Pepper b Harmer 71published at 17:29 British Summer Time 25 June

    Essex 339 v Durham 587 & 137-6

Scott Borthwick sends Simon Harmer straight back over his head for the first six of the innings.

But Harmer spins one past his bat next ball and picks up the edge to remove the Durham skipper.

    Notts 360 & 134-0 v Somerset 470

Migael Pretorius tries a short ball, but it is down the leg side and given as a no ball, not bowled at all well to be honest.

He has done well against Notts with the bat in both games this campaign remember, and picked up four wickets in the first innings.

His second attempt at the bouncer, the very next ball, is gloved just beyond James Rew's reach.

Four leg-byes add insult to injury last ball too.

Somerset getting desperate, the miscues just are not landing near enough to fielders.

  8. wicket

WICKET Akhter b Hill 70published at 17:26 British Summer Time 25 June

    Yorks 456 v Gloucs 197 & 216-9

The fun has to stop some time - even at the seaside.

Zaman Akhter attempts a stroke which wouldn't have been out of place on a golf course, but takes his eye off the ball and is bowled through a very large gate by George Hill.

Just one wicket needed now for Yorkshire first win of the season.

  9. 100 runs

100 up Kentpublished at 17:25 British Summer Time 25 June

    Kent 244 & 101-5 v Lancashire 549-9 dec

The Kent second innings is into three figures, but not much celebration with half their wickets back in the hutch.

Charlie Stobo brings it up with a fine pull shot off Jack Blatherwick, and he and Harry Finch have now put on 34.

  10. Postpublished at 17:25 British Summer Time 25 June

    Worcs 212 & 175-4 v Surrey 490

Jordan Clark is another one of those players the England selectors might have taken a look at over the years. An absolute lionheart.

He roars in again and sends down a maiden to Adam Hose. Clark has 3-26 from 10 overs.

  11. Division Two updatepublished at 17:22 British Summer Time 25 June

Ryan Higgins finds the boundary off Alex Thomson and Middlesex are 210-5 against Derbyshire at Lord's - now 304 in front.

Northants are just 24 runs short of clearing their deficit in Cardiff, with Ricardo Vasconcelos 86 not out and Luke Procter on 41 in a score of 187-2 against Glamorgan.

  12. Hampshire declare on 453-6published at 17:21 British Summer Time 25 June

    Warwks 254 v Hants 298 & 453-6 declared

James Fuller has come in in T20 mode, struck 11 off six balls, then James Vince decides he has been out there long enough and walks off.

497 they lead by, surely enough, but can Hants bowl them out before close tomorrow?

  13. wicket

WICKET Hill c Simpson b Carson 21published at 17:19 British Summer Time 25 June

    Leics 105-2 - target 464

Was that an arm ball from off-spinner Jack Carson?

Lewis Hill certainly played down the wrong line and John Simpson takes a smart catch behind the stumps.

Lewis Goldsworthy is the next man in and there are 14 more overs to come after this one.

  14. dropped catch

Dropped catch, though a tough onepublished at 17:18 British Summer Time 25 June

    Notts 360 & 115-0 v Somerset 470

Haseeb Hameed going into 3.0 now?!

He shimmies down and nails a straight drive over Jack Leach who sticks up a paw, but it does not stick.

It still goes for four for measure of the pace on that stroke.

He takes another four and two more off the over too, ten from it.

Will Young's pad rash meanwhile is getting Tom Banton-esque from yesterday.

  15. 'Clark has been the best of the Surrey bowlers'published at 17:17 British Summer Time 25 June

    Worcs 212 &175-4 v Surrey 490

    Frank Watson
    BBC Hereford & Worcester

Jordan Clark has been a real threat in this innings and I think it's fair to say he has been the best of the Surrey bowlers.

He's asked the most questions and he's on a roll.

  16. Postpublished at 17:17 British Summer Time 25 June

    Essex 339 v Durham 587 & 126-5

Durham have taken their lead to 374 and there are 20 overs left in the day.

Throw in the 96 overs tomorrow and that means we have 116 left in the game.

Durham will feel that they definitely need to push this advantage over 400 before setting any target.

  17. 50 runs

50 stand for Gloucestershirepublished at 17:17 British Summer Time 25 June

    Yorks 456 v Gloucs 197 & 209-8

We don't know who's coaching manual that came out of but it was certainly effective.

Zaman Akhter cross-bats the ball back over the hear of bowler Matthew Revis for four to take the Gloucestershire total to 200 - which seemed an unlikely prospect when they were 158-8.

Four over mid-wicket for Dom Goodman off George Hill in the next over brings up a 50 partnership from 82 balls.

  18. wicket

WICKET: Dawson b Mousley c Rhodes 120published at 17:16 British Summer Time 25 June

    Warwks 254 v Hants 298 & 442-6

Terrific innings, terrific catch from Will Rhodes deep in the leg-side running in.

120 is a superb knock from any bat, let alone your number seven, but as for the past decade or so Liam Dawson has been one of the best sevens in the county game, and comfortably so.

Still in the James Hildreth category of being very unfortunate regards England selection, and now happy to prioritise franchise gigs in the English Winter, and you cannot blame him.

Just imagine how much stronger England could have been in India in recent years for example had we picked this man!

  19. 50 runs

50 for Haseeb Hameedpublished at 17:13 British Summer Time 25 June

    Notts 360 & 110-0 v Somerset 470

The Notts skipper joins his colleague on 50 off 107 balls, that run out chance for Tom Abell at mid off his biggest scare yet.

  20. Scores levelpublished at 17:12 British Summer Time 25 June

    Notts 360 & 110-0 v Somerset 470

Jack Leach follows the score levelling with a maiden over, will he keep twirling away until close?

Could be another 10 for him as 20 overs minimum remain, Jake Ball into his sixth with 0 maidens as of yet.
