  1. 50 for Ben Slaterpublished at 16:49 25 June

    Notts 360 & 99-0 v Somerset 470

This is also the top opening partnership of the season for Notts in the County Championship.

Two hours spent at the crease, 101 balls faced, five fours and one six for Slater.

His third half-century of the season to go with those against Worcestershire and Warwickshire.

  2. Postpublished at 16:49 25 June

    Yorks 456 v Gloucs 197 & 182-8

Dom Goodman has again been struck on the crash helmet, this time by Matthew Revis and there's a pause in play while new headgear is brought on to the field.

He seems fine to bat on.

  3. 'Lancashire are very much sensing victory'published at 16:48 25 June

    Kent 244 & 66-4 v Lancashire 549-9 dec

    Matt Cole

    Another big wicket for Lancashire.

Joey Evison has got great technique and that one looked like it just moved off the pitch and has deceived him.

Lancashire are very much sensing victory and are maybe even thinking 'can we do it today?'

Kent are in all sorts of trouble now

  4. Postpublished at 16:47 25 June

    Warwks 254 v Hants 298 & 384-5

Liam Dawson has gone after Danny Briggs in this over, going down the track and driving through cover for four.

Four more runs two balls later, driven through point.

11 runs off the over in total.

At the other end James Vince shapes to drive Ed Barnard through the off side and gets an inside edge that runs fine for four runs.

The 200 partnership for the sixth wicket comes in the same over - from 270 balls as Liam Dawson nears a 15th first-class century.

    He's on 95.

  5. Postpublished at 16:47 25 June

    Worcs 212 & 158-1 v Surrey 490

Was picking five seam bowlers for this game one too many?

It enables them to bowl short spells but would a second spinner have been able to get any more out of this day three pitch?

Gareth Roderick pulls behind square for four in Sean Abbott's latest over. He is 63 not out and the deficit is now 120.

  6. Postpublished at 16:45 25 June

    Notts 360 & 88-0 v Somerset 470

When the ball is doing little and the bowlers are unlikely to get you out, you really do not need to risk running yourself out.

A daft, unnecessary single attempted by Haseeb Hameed to the quality fielder that is Tom Abell at mid off.

He had all three to aim at, picked up cleanly right-handed, but missed the target, Hameed not even in the picture, that Somerset's best chance to take a wicket yet.

That the only run off Jack Leach's 13th over, so nearly a wicket maiden.

  7. WICKET Evison b Williams 10published at 16:43 25 June

    Kent 244 & 66-4 v Lancashire 549-9 dec

Off stump out of the ground and Kent in all sorts of bother in Canterbury.

Joey Evison plays down the wrong line to Will Williams and his wickets are disturbed.

Two wickets in 25 balls since the tea break, and Lancashire well on their way to victory.

  8. 50 for Zaman Akhterpublished at 16:41 25 June

    Yorks 456 v Gloucs 197 & 177-8

Jordan Thompson pitches it up and the Zaman Akhter drive doesn't quite clear the field.

But the third ball is on the pads and clipped square for the single he needs for a half century.

That's his first ever 50 in first-class cricket.

54 balls, five fours and three sixes.

  9. Postpublished at 16:38 25 June

    Yorks 456 v Gloucs 197 & 176-8

Matthew Revis bowls wide off the off peg to Zaman Akhter, who drives through the off side for four.

He tries a short ball, but this is pulled square for four more.

An LBW appeal is turned down and the next ball is pitched up and driven for four more.

Akhter keeps the strike with a single to leg and he's on 49.

  10. WICKET Ackermann b Porter 14published at 16:38 25 June

    Essex 339 v Durham 587 & 107-5

His first over after tea and Jamie Porter grabs his third wicket of the innings.

He sneaks one past Colin Ackermann's defences and bangs into middle stump.

    Well bowled!

Essex continue to keep Durham in check in this third innings.

  11. Play resumes in Chelmsfordpublished at 16:36 25 June

    Essex 339 v Durham 587 & 107-4

Simon Harmer twirls away to begin the last session of day three in Chelmsford.

He gives up a couple of singles as the Durham lead inches to 355.

  12. Postpublished at 16:36 25 June

    Warwks 254 v Hants 298 & 364-5

Ed Barnard bowls a tight off stump line to James Vince but the last ball is wider, drawing Vince into a drive and an edge past the keeper and through third man for four.

That takes the lead beyond 400.

    404 to be precise.

  13. Postpublished at 16:34 25 June

    Yorks 456 v Gloucs 197 & 163-8

Jordan Thompson bowls to Dom Goodman, who defends back down the pitch.

There's a hint of away shape for Thompson as Goodman leaves a wider ball.

A quiet start to the session as Yorkshire are within touching distance of a three-day win.

  14. WICKET Patel b Coles 41published at 16:32 25 June

    Leics 57-1 - target 464

After fours from the previous two balls, Rishi Patel tries to give himself room to cut James Coles' left-arm spin, but it's an arm ball and he can only chop it into his stumps via his boot.

Leicestershire need another 407 to win as Lewis Hill comes out to bat.

  15. Postpublished at 16:32 25 June

    Notts 360 & 77-0 v Somerset 470

The biggest appeal of the innings yet, and it looked pretty good from Jack Leach but the big stride Haseeb Hameed got in perhaps dissuades that from being given.

  16. 50 for Kashif Alipublished at 16:31 25 June

    Worcs 212 & 139-1 v Surrey 490

Just a couple of minutes after Gareth Roderick reached 50, partner Kashif Ali does so too.

He steers Sean Abbott away for a couple for runs from the 85th delivery he has faced.

  17. Postpublished at 16:30 25 June

    Notts 360 & 76-0 v Somerset 470

The first short ball of the session is attempted by Kasey Aldridge with his last delivery of his third over to 'the Chesterfield-churner' Ben Slater.

Pulled comfortably for one, but expect many more of those balls to be attempted by the Somerset enforcer on this lifeless pitch.

Jack Leach will continue from t'other end, a slip and short leg join James Rew in close proximity to the bat.

  18. WICKET Compton c Hurst b Bailey 37published at 16:29 25 June

    Kent 244 & 62-3 v Lancashire 549-9 dec

Ben Compton, what have you done?

Not the news Kent fans want to hear as the opener, and the player most suited for batting long, goes in the second over after tea.

And it's a horror shot too, as he tries to pull a Tom Bailey delivery from well outside off stump and can only send it skywards and watch it drop into the wicketkeeper's hands.

Kent three down and 243 still behind.

  19. Play resumes at Scarboroughpublished at 16:29 25 June

    Yorks 456 v Gloucs 197 & 161-8

Zaman Akhter and Dom Goodman are back in the middle to try to extend the Gloucester resistance and Akhter will face the first ball of the session - to be bowled by Matthew Revis.
