    Warwks 254 v Hants 298 & 352-5

A bit of extra bounce for Ed Barnard but Liam Dawson jabs that ball safely to third man for a single to get Hampshire to 350 in the 102nd over.

This is looking ominous for Warwickshire, who are looking for their first Championship win of the season.

    The lead is 396.

  2. Resumption at Trent Bridgepublished at 16:26 25 June

    Notts 360 & 72-0 v Somerset 470

Notts trail by 38 runs as Kasey Aldridge takes the first over of day three's final session.

32 overs to bowl in warm conditions, Notts' opening pair looking to bat big and long well into tomorrow to make at least a draw safe.

  3. 50 for Gareth Roderickpublished at 16:25 25 June

    Worcs 212 & 132-1 v Surrey 490

Five dot balls from Dan Lawrence, including a loud appeal for lbw, before Gareth Roderick knocks one into the leg-side to reach 50 off 114 balls.

For a player who likes to play shots, it has been an exercise in self denial at times, but all for the good of his team.

  4. Postpublished at 16:24 25 June

    Warwks 254 v Hants 298 & 348-5

Liam Dawson cuts the fourth ball of the session through a defensive field for a single.

James Vince picks up a couple more runs through the off side.

Spinner Danny Briggs will bowl the next over and Dawson immediately goes for the sweep without connecting.

He tries the reverse instead and swipes the next ball away for four.

He cuts to cover for one more and now James Vince connects with a reverse sweep for four.

He'll keep the strike with a single off the last ball.

  5. 'Durham have power to add'published at 16:23 25 June

    Essex 339 v Durham 587 & 105-4 - tea

    Glenn Speller
    BBC Essex sport

Essex have at least prevented Durham from getting off to a flyer in their second innings and racing towards a declaration.

The opening salvo from Jamie Porter, backed up by Simon Harmer and Matt Critchley, kept the visitors honest but with a lead north of 350.

Durham have power to add and may look to get Essex in for a tricky final few overs of the day.

  6. Postpublished at 16:21 25 June

    Leics 43-0 - target 464

Is Rishi Patel back in T20 mode?

He takes two steps forward and hoists Sussex spinner Jack Carson away for six.

Patel stays in his crease for the next one, but a similar shot brings the same result.

  7. Play resumes at Edgbastonpublished at 16:18 25 June

    Warwks 254 v Hants 298 & 335-5

Can Warwickshire prize James Vince out?

The Hampshire captain has changed the complexion of this game since he came to the crease at 136-3 in the 52nd over and struck his second ball for six.

The run rate is hovering much closer to four an over now as Liam Dawson (73 not out) takes guard against Ed Barnard.

Vince is unbeaten on 107 at the other end.

  8. Postpublished at 16:17 25 June

    Worcs 212 & 127-1 v Surrey 490

Ben Foakes isn't having his greatest day behind the stumps.

Dan Lawrence goes past the outside edge of Gareth Roderick's bat, but it also beats the Surrey and England keeper and that's four byes.

Just to rub it in, Roderick plays a reverse sweep, which brings him four and takes him to 46 not out.

  9. Postpublished at 16:16 25 June

    Worcs 212 & 118-1 v Surrey 490

Sean Abbott cannot believe it when the umpire fails to raise the finger after he pins Gareth Roderick on the crease.

His celebratory follow-through takes him right to the other end of the pitch but there's nothing doing from the man in the panama hat.

  10. Tea at Chelmsfordpublished at 16:12 25 June

    Essex 339 v Durham 587 & 105-4

Essex have made Durham work hard for their 105 runs so far this afternoon.

Jamie Porter's two early wickets set the visitors back and Scott Borthwick's 47 not out has led the fightback.

The lead is up to 353, so the question will be how many more runs Durham want to score in the final session before sending Essex in.

  11. Postpublished at 16:10 25 June

    Worcs 212 & 116-1 v Surrey 490

A session that will go a long way to deciding the outcome of this match begins.

If Worcestershire can bat through 32 overs without losing more than a couple of wickets, they will still have hope of escaping with a draw.

Any more than that and this will surely be another step for Surrey towards the possibility of a hat-trick of titles.

Dan Lawrence will bowl and there is just a single from the over.

  12. Tea at Scarboroughpublished at 16:09 25 June

    Yorks 456 v Gloucs 197 & 161-8

We had a pause in play after Dom Goodman was struck on the head by a ball from George Hill but he passes the physio checks and sees out the over.

Zaman Akhter gets a single off Dom Bess swinging to deep mid wicket and Bess tries to tempt Goodman by tossing the ball up.

Goodman defends at Gloucestershire survive a fraught session that saw them lose 6-97, including two in two ball bowled by Conor McKerr.

  13. Tea at Sophia Gardenspublished at 16:06 25 June

    Glamorgan 490 v Northants 279 & 147-2

A good session for Northamptonshire at Sophia Gardens, adding 140 to their 4-0 at lunch for the loss of Emilio Gay and Prithvi Shaw.

Both batters were caught behind, Gay down the leg-side for 26 off Andy Gorvin and Shaw taken low by Chris Cooke off Timm van der Gugten for 23.

Ricardo Vasconcelos (61) and Luke Procter (26) have recently posted a 50 partnership and the visitors are 64 behind at tea.

  14. Tea at Trent Bridgepublished at 16:06 25 June

    Notts 360 & 72-0 v Somerset 470

Jack Leach's 10th over on the spin brings him his second maiden, Ben Slater playing this one out.

No real chance for the away side to take a wicket, but Leach is getting increasing amounts of spin as the pitch bakes in the Nottinghamshire sunshine and the seamers' big boots create a little more rough for him to target.

  15. 100 up for Durhampublished at 16:05 25 June

    Essex 339 v Durham 587 & 100-4

The 100 is up in Durham's second innings, but coming off 31.1 overs, it has not quite been the progress they would have expected.

Scott Borthwick has 44 and has steadied the Durham ship from 11-2.

    The lead is 348.

  16. Tea at Canterburypublished at 16:03 25 June

    Kent 244 & 59-2 v Lancashire 549-9 dec

Nathan Lyon and Keaton JenningsImage source, Rex Features

Nathan Lyon gives up a single from his latest over and that is tea at Canterbury.

Ben Compton and Joey Evison ensure there are no further dismissals after earlier wickets for Will Williams and George Balderson.

But the deficit remains a huge 246 runs so Kent cannot afford to lose more than one or two wickets in the final session.

  17. WICKET Webster c Tattersall b Hill 30published at 16:01 25 June

    Yorks 456 v Gloucs 197 & 158-7

And now Beau Webster is out.

That was a devil of a delivery from George Hill, taking off from a length and the keeper jumps to take the ball well over head height.

What a time for Dom Goodman to come in to bat.

    How do you play that?

  18. Postpublished at 16:00 25 June

    Yorks 456 v Gloucs 197 & 158-7

Beau Webster gets a ball wide of off stump from George Hill and pushes the ball square for one.

Zaman Akhter continues to frustrate Yorkshire with two sixes off the bowling of Dom Bess.

He reverse sweeps for the first one and slog sweeps the other over mid wicket.

  19. Tea at Edgbastonpublished at 15:58 25 June

    Warwks 254 v Hants 298 & 335-5

Hampshire go into tea in complete control with a lead of 379 runs.

It will be a tough job for anyone to take ten wickets here though.

A tidy over from spinner Danny Briggs before the break with just a couple of runs coming from it.

But the older ball and even the new one has offered little movement and we've only occasionally seen irregular bounce.

The standout innings of the match has been played by James Vince, who leaves the field for the break on 107 not out.

Liam Dawson is unbeaten on 73.

  20. 'A solid start for Leicestershire'published at 15:58 25 June

    Sussex 442 & 296-9 dec v Leics 275 & 25-0 - tea

HoveImage source, Adrian Harms - BBC Sport

A solid start for the visitors in pursuit of the 464 needed to win.

This looks a very good batting pitch and although Sussex will be heavy favourites to win - Leicestershire scored 483 in their second innings here last season and only narrowly lost by 15 runs.
