    Worcs 212 & 74-1 v Surrey 490

James Taylor looks like he is 'feeling it a bit' - not surprising perhaps for a seam bowler of limited first-class experience in these conditions.

There is movement there but Gareth Roderick cover drives for four and adds another boundary to end the over.

    He is 34 not out.

    Yorks 456 v Gloucs 197 & 89-5

For the record, Beau Webster scored an unbeaten 44 at nearly a run a ball away against Leicestershire and followed that with a half century and six wickets at home against Derbyshire.

He picks up a boundary off his fourth ball, clipping Vishwa Fernando in front of square leg on the front foot for four.

Sweet timing. He was on a king pair at the start of this innings.

  3. 6 runs

Vince on the attack againpublished at 15:10 British Summer Time 25 June

    Warwks 254 v Hants 298 & 286-5

    Shot!

James Vince pulls Oliver Hannon-Dalby high over square leg and that's a stylish way to bring up the 100 partnership for the sixth wicket in 149 balls.

The lead is up to 330.

  4. 'A good workout for Leach'published at 15:09 British Summer Time 25 June

    Notts 360 & 26-0 v Somerset 470

    Anthony Gibson

This a good workout for Jack Leach with the West Indies Test match coming up.

And I expect that has barely started yet, the seamers will likely rotate from t'other end for the rest of today if Leach can hold up an end.

    Notts 360 & 31-0 v Somerset 470

Three singles off Jack Leach's second over it should have been, but a slight misfield last ball allows Haseeb Hameed four.

A lot of faffing around so far in this innings with people behind the sight screen, field changes etc.

It is going to be a very late tea interval in this one.

  6. Sussex declare with lead of 463published at 15:07 British Summer Time 25 June

    Sussex 442 & 296-6 dec v Leics 275

Fynn Hudson-Prentice is caught off Josh Hull for eight and Sussex permit themselves just one more over before John Simpson makes the declaration.

Tom Alsop is 81 not out from 122 balls, with three sixes and four fours, and Leicestershire - who drew their seven previous games - will need to score 464 to win this one.

A maiden to start with from the Taunton Vettori.

He is not having to bowl at a set Dan Lawrence on 100 and plenty in fairness, but so far a much superior economy rate than Somerset's other England test spinner in this round of fixtures.

But we may re visit that in a few hours time if say a Joe Clarke is set on this track I would not put it past the likes of him or Tom Moores attempting Lawrence's recent bazball audition.

    Worcs 212 & 62-1 v Surrey 490

    Close.

A rapid delivery from Gus Atkinson is edged just inches short of slip and deflects off the fielder to bring Kashif Ali four runs.

  9. Postpublished at 15:02 British Summer Time 25 June

    Essex 339 v Durham 587 & 45-2

    Shot!

Eathan Bosch to fellow South African David Bedingham and the batter pierces the offside with a beautiful cover drive.

Gorgeous shot and easy to see why he is scoring so many runs this summer.

He has 14 off as many balls.

  10. wicket

WICKET Van Buuren c Tattersall b Thompson 4published at 15:00 British Summer Time 25 June

    Yorks 456 v Gloucs 197 & 82-5

Jordan Thompson has his first wicket of the innings! Gloucestershire are five down and staring a three-day defeat in the face.

Visiting captain Graeme van Buuren has been caught behind.

He's drawn into the drive on the front foot and the keeper takes it lurching in front of first slip at chest height.

Beau Webster is in next. The Aussie all-rounder had a very handy Gloucester debut earlier this summer and goodness me, his team needs his confident best now.

  11. Postpublished at 15:00 British Summer Time 25 June

    Notts 360 & 24-0 v Somerset 470

Wow I pondered how early Somerset would turn to spin.

Guessing maybe 20 overs with the new ball allowing the four main seamers a go first, but no Mr Overton has different ideas and in this heat does not fancy much work himself.

Jack Leach will bowl the eighth over on just day three.

No obvious rough or break up of the pitch yet, a tinge of green to it, but flat is the main definition.

Ben Slater to face him first 16*.

    Warwks 254 v Hants 298 & 274-5

Vintage James Vince on show here.

A gorgeous flowing drive through the off side is followed by an equally impressive drive down the ground one ball later off the bowling of Oliver Hannon-Dalby.

There's not much in the pitch for the bowlers, even armed with a new ball - and a target well north of 400 is within Hampshire's reach.

No wickets for the Bears since lunch.

  13. Postpublished at 14:56 British Summer Time 25 June

    Yorks 456 v Gloucs 197 & 81-4

Miles Hammond is forward to defend against Jordan Thompson, bowling a probing off stump line.

    Maiden over.

Three slips in for Vishwa Fernando as Graeme van Buuren pushes into the off side for one.

There's movement for Fernando as Hammond plays around a seaming delivery and swishes the ball into the leg side for two.

Van Buuren is drawn into driving at a wide one but the ball evades the outside edge.

    Nervous times for Gloucestershire.

  14. Division Two updatepublished at 14:53 British Summer Time 25 June

Glamorgan have picked up a wicket at Sophia Gardens, with Emilio Gay caught off Andy Gorvin for 26. Northants are now 73-1, still 138 behind.

Just three singles from the latest Scott Currie over at Hove, but Sussex are 283-5, a lead of exactly 450 against Leicestershire, with Tom Alsop 76 not out.

Max Holden is fortunate to edge between slip and gully for four off Sam Conners as Middlesex progress to 112-2 against Derbyshire, 206 in front.

  15. Postpublished at 14:52 British Summer Time 25 June

    Essex 339 v Durham 587 & 37-2

Simon Harmer is introduced into the attack and Scott Borthwick greets him with successive boundaries.

The first is aerial through the offside and the second is a slash behind point down to third man.

Welcome runs as Borthwick moves to 20, having been tied down by the Essex seamers.

  16. Postpublished at 14:50 British Summer Time 25 June

    Notts 360 & 14-0 v Somerset 470

A short and wide one from Craig Overton is back foot bunched by Ben Slater, as he does, beautifully to the rope.

A two and a one in the second half of that over too, not much evidence of ball beating bat so far, it is going to be hard toil for Somerset's attack this afternoon.

  17. Postpublished at 14:48 British Summer Time 25 June

    Warwks 254 v Hants 298 & 263-5

It's very warm at Edgbaston and an hour into the session the players are having a drink.

James Vince drives to sweeper Jacob Bethell on the cover boundary for an easy single and Liam Dawson glances a leg side ball fine for one more.

The field remains defensive and singles are coming a little too easily from a Warwickshire perspective as the Hampshire lead ticks past 300.

  18. wicket

    WICKET O'Riordan c Bell b Williams 4published at 14:48 British Summer Time 25 June

    Kent 244 & 14-1 v Lancashire 549-9 dec

    Lancashire are in the wickets.

Makeshift opener Marcus O'Riordan falls as Will Williams finds a bit of extra bounce and the Kent man can only edge it to first slip, where George Bell hangs on well.

A lot to ponder for new batter and Kent captain Daniel Bell-Drummond.

  19. 'Pears holding out hope of saving game'published at 14:45 British Summer Time 25 June

    Worcs 212 & 54-1 v Surrey 490

    Frank Watson
    BBC Hereford & Worcester

There are 49 overs left in the day and if Worcestershire can get through those 49 overs and they've only lost another three wickets. I think they will feel it's been a day of reasonable progress for them.

Not holding out any hope of them winning the game, of course, but certainly holding out hope of saving it and hoping they can take it into tomorrow.

  20. Postpublished at 14:45 British Summer Time 25 June

    Worcs 212 & 54-1 v Surrey 490

Gareth Roderick chips in the air to mid-on off Jordan Clark, but there is no fielder there and the ball is well-timed enough to reach the boundary.

Roderick moves on to 19 not out - Worcestershire trail by 224.
