  1. Postpublished at 17:42 British Summer Time 11 April

    Lancs v Northants 283-5

    Maiden over from Tom Bailey.

He shares the new ball with George Balderson, who Saif Zaib leaves outside off stump.

The bowler tightens his line and Zaib blocks down the ground.

A nervy play and miss off the fifth ball outside off and a loose drive, edging wide of the slips for four to end the over.

    Vaughan c Coles b Seales 14 (Somerset 14-1 v Sussex 294)

The Somerset opener had looked nicely loose with a couple of decent hits to get his side going in reply.

But he has been caught out by the pace of that one from Jayden Seales and was through the shot a little early looking to turn it to leg and edging it.

There was still plenty of work to do from that point and James Coles deserves credit for taking that one low to his to his right.

Good grab and a good start for Sussex.

  3. Play resumes at the Ovalpublished at 17:37 British Summer Time 11 April

    Surrey 253 v Hants 0-0

Mark Stoneman and Fletcha Middleton will try to guide Hampshire through a likely testing 16 over session of play.

West Indies bowler Kemar Roach will bowl to Stoneman first up.

  4. new ball

New ball taken at Old Traffordpublished at 17:35 British Summer Time 11 April

    Lancs v Northants 279-5

Saif Zaib and Lewis McManus are quietly rebuilding the Northants innings after the loss of James Sales, accumulating a couple of runs an over.

Lewis McManus is forward to Tom Harley, pushing the ball into the on side for a single to move to 11.

That's 80 bowled and Tom Bailey is back in the attack with a new ball.

  5. wicket

WICKETpublished at 17:32 British Summer Time 11 April

    Luxton c Kashif Ali b Libby 25 (Yorkshire 339-6 v Worcestershire)

Will Luxton tries to tuck into part-timer spinner Jake Libby but doesn't get enough of it and holes out to Kashif Ali just inside the rope at deep square leg.

25 from 27 balls for Luxton but he has to go.

Dom Bess joins Dawid Malan for the final five balls before the new ball becomes available.

  6. wicket

WICKETpublished at 17:31 British Summer Time 11 April

    Worrall c Stoneman b Wheal 4 (Surrey 253 v Hants)

Two balls later, Dan Worrall is gone and the innings is over.

He goes for a full-blooded pull shot off Brad Wheal and that's a great grab by Mark Stoneman on the on side!

Brad Wheal finishes with 4-65 and Dom Sibley has been an absolute hero with the bat for an even, unbeaten 100.

    16 overs left tonight.

  7. James misses out in century salespublished at 17:29 British Summer Time 11 April

    Lancashire v Northants 272-5

    Adam Lanigan
BBC Sport reporter at Emirates Old Trafford

Coming to the ground this morning, James Sales probably would have been delighted if you had offered him a score of 92, particularly after two single figure efforts against Kent last week.

But a century was there for the taking after doing the hard yards in the first two sessions.

To give it up in the manner that he did in failing to clear mid-on will be what frustrates him as he sits in the dressing room.

And especially as conditions right now are perfect, not a breath of wind, lovely sunshine, and a pitch with few terrors.

    Brad Wheal will bowl.

There it is! Pushed through the off side on the front foot for one.

He's carried on his good form after a battling second innings 66 v Essex in the season opener.

That's his seventh century for Surrey and his 23rd in all first class cricket.

217 balls. Nine fours and two sixes.

He punches the air in delight as he gets a deserved standing ovation.

  9. Surrey reach 250published at 17:24 British Summer Time 11 April

    Surrey 252-9 v Hants

Kyle Abbott overpitches slightly and Dan Worrall drives straight down the ground for a delightful four!

Surrey reach 250 and a batting point in the 77th over.

Worrall switches to defence, then leaves the last ball outside off.

    Sibley to face on 99...

  10. Division Two updatepublished at 17:24 British Summer Time 11 April

    #bbccricket

Cameron Bancroft and Oliver Price have piled the runs on for Glocs against Glamorgan with the former on 131 and latter having reached 101 before Shoaib Bashir sent him on his way.

Glocs are in a commanding position at 292-2.

Middlesex's underwhelming 222 against Kent is looking better with every passing over as Kent are 67-4 in reply with Zak Crawley, Daniel Bell-Drummond, Tawenda Muyeye and Jack Leaning all back in the hutch.

Northants are up to 267-5 at Old Trafford against Lancs after being put in and Leics are going well at 338-7 against Derbys after they too were put in to bat.

  11. Postpublished at 17:20 British Summer Time 11 April

    Surrey 248-9 v Hants

Dom Sibley picks up a single off the fourth ball of the Liam Dawson over and Dan Worrall again sees the bowler off safely.

Shot! Dom Sibley is forward to Brad Wheal, bowling from the Pavilion End and drives square on the off side for four! He's on 97.

He's timing the ball so well that his next shots skim straight to the deep set fielders and he declines the single.

Sibley drives again and this time gets two more to the off side to reach 99.

One ball left in the over but Sibley can't connect with an attempted dab to deep third.

    Over to you, Dan Worrall.

100 for Ben McKinneypublished at 17:18 British Summer Time 11 April

    Durham 263-7 v Warwickshire

Ben McKinney celebrates his centuryImage source, Getty Images

A fine century for Durham opener Ben McKinney...

That's a second County Championship century for the 20-year-old left-hander, who made 121 against Notts at CLS last August and also weighed in with 110 for England Lions against Australia A in Sydney in January.

He's had a few nervy moments in the past 20 minutes, Matty Potts has hogged the strike and McKinney was not a million miles away from being run-out at the non striker's end on 99, but he's got there, guiding Ed Barnard calmly down to third for four from the 186th ball he'd faced.

    Remember the name...

  13. Postpublished at 17:14 British Summer Time 11 April

    Lancs v Northants 263-5

Northants are becalmed somewhat since the wicket of James Sales, scoring at just a run an over since his dismissal in the 70th.

But this pitch is playing very well and neither Saif Zaib nor Lewis McManus look troubled at this point.

  14. wicket

    WICKETpublished at 74.4 overs

Hunt b Gregory 33 (Sussex 294 all out v Somerset)

A fifty partnership between Sean Hunt and Jayden Seales proved frustrating for Somerset but Lewis Gregory has just cleaned up the former to bring the curtain down on Sussex's innings.

At 180-7 Sussex were staring down the barrel but resistance from John Simpson, Jack Carson and the final pairing has given them something to shoot at.

They will be back out in 10 for a crack at the Somerset openers.

  15. 6 runs

Sibley does it againpublished at 17:11 British Summer Time 11 April

    Surrey 241-9 v Hants

Surrey have lost their last four wickets for 36 runs and Hampshire may not even need the new ball, available in seven overs.

Dom Sibley keeps the strike with a single to mid on to see out the Sonny Baker over.

Brad Wheal is back in the attack and the field is predictably set deep.

The third ball of the over is leg side and launched over square leg!

    Sibley is on 91.

He drives the fifth ball to deep cover for one. 92.

Dan Worrall sees out the over.

  16. wicket

    WICKETpublished at 71.1 overs

    Hutton c Pepper b Snater 1 (Notts 249-8 v Essex)

And one brings another with Brett Hutton lasting just a couple of balls before he is on his way.

Little bit of away movement off the seam from Shane Snater and a dangled bat does the rest, Michael Pepper tumbling to take a two handed catch behind the stumps.

Notts must guard against losing all late momentum with a flurry of wickets, particularly with Kyle Verreynne going strong at the non striker's end on 70.

Remember our call for a team of Toms from earlier?

Huw Richards: 10 Toms plus Greg Thomas have played for England, so just possible but unfortunately no wicket-keeper !! Hayward, Emmett, Dollery, Graveney, Westley, Armitage, Curran, Cartwright, Hartley, Thomas, Richardson. Stretching a point, Army officer Ronald Thomas ‘Rony’ Stanyforth captained England and kept wicket in South Africa in 1927-8, so is a sort of Tom, completing an XI of England Test players named Tom.

SASEnterprise5: Tom Westley (Essex) Tom Haines (Sussex) Tom Lammonby (Somerset) Tom Banton (Somerset) Tom Abell (Somerset) Tom Alsop (Sussex) Tom Curran (Surrey) Tom Bailey (Lancashire) Tom Hartley (Lancashire) Tom Helm (Middlesex),Tom Clark (Sussex)

With all due respect to Huw's effort, the second team here would be worth a watch... let us know if you have any other suggestions via #bbccricket

  18. wicket

    WICKETpublished at 70.4 overs

    O'Neill lbw b Critchley 42 (Notts 224-7 v Essex)

Back in his crease, squared up and undone by a bit of late turn, O'Neill is furious with himself walking off there.

Part of that will be that he had worked hard to claw Notts back into this contest with a 77-run partnership with Kyle Verreynne but also because that looked another 'close' decision.

  19. wicket

WICKETpublished at 17:03 British Summer Time 11 April

    Roach b Dawson 4 (Surrey 233-9 v Hants)

The wheels are coming off quickly for Surrey here as Kemar Roach comes and goes in just three deliveries.

He turns Sonny Baker off his hip to fine leg for four but perishes in the next over, castled off stump by Liam Dawson going forward to defend.

Dan Worrall is the Surrey number 11.

  20. wicket

WICKETpublished at 17:00 British Summer Time 11 April

    Sales c Harris b Hartley 92 (Lancs v Northants 256-5)

Saif Zaib swats Anderson Phillip over mid wicket for six but sadly for Northants fans James Sales falls short of a century in the next over.

He attempts to launch Tom Hartley and holes out to Marcus Harris at mid on.

A wonderful innings ends with a soft dismissal and Lewis McManus joins Saif Zaib in the middle.
