  1. Postpublished at 15:48 British Summer Time 11 April

    Surrey 196-5 v Hants

Brett Hampton drops short and Dom Sibley stays in the crease and uppercuts the ball safely over a lone slip for four runs.

Sibley gets a single off the second ball to move to 62.

Five overs left at the Oval before tea.

  2. Postpublished at 15:48 British Summer Time 11 April

    Yorkshire 238-4 v Worcestershire

Brett D'Oliveira is tossed the ball to fire down some of his occasional leg spin.

He's the seventh bowler for the Pears inside 60 overs.

George Hill wallops the first ball he faced to the rope to move to 32 and Yorkshire are thinking about a bonus point before tea.

  3. wicket

    WICKETpublished at 55.1 overs

    James b Snater 45 (Notts 167-6 v Essex)

Breakthrough for Essex and the partnership between Lyndon James and Kyle Verreynne, which had reached 89, is broken.

Big wicket for the visitors who now have a sight of Nottinghamshire's tail.

  4. Postpublished at 15:44 British Summer Time 11 April

    Lancs v Northants 191-4

Anderson Phillip is bowling with good pace here as Saif Zaib sways out of the way of an off side bouncer.

The last ball of the over is fuller and driven neatly down the ground for four runs.

We have a bowling change at the other end, where Luke Wells will bowl some leg spin.

  5. 50 runs

50 for Dawid Malanpublished at 15:43 British Summer Time 11 April

    Yorkshire 230-4 v Worcestershire

Dawid Malan is playing very nicely indeed.

Jacob Duffy pitches one in short and gets dispatched to the deep mid-wicket boundary for four, his eighth, and then guides the next ball down to third to bring up his 69th first class half-century from 66 balls.

He might be eyeing a 31st century in an hour or two at this rate.

  6. Leach into the attackpublished at 56 overs

    Sussex 217-7 v Somerset

Jack Leach, fresh from reaching 500 first class wickets in the match against Worcestershire in the opening round, is into the attack here for the first time as Somerset seek to break this building partnership.

Jack Carson takes a look at one delivery then launches his second back back over him for a six.

  7. Postpublished at 15:40 British Summer Time 11 April

    Surrey 189-5 v Hants

Brett Hampton is losing his line a bit here, bowling wide of off stump to Ryan Patel and then spearing one down the leg side.

    A maiden over nonetheless.

  8. 200 runs

200 up for Durhampublished at 15:39 British Summer Time 11 April

    Durham 200-4 v Warwickshire

In exactly 60 overs, at 3.33333 runs an over, which is pleasing... unless you're Warwickshire.

Ben McKinney has patiently ticked along to 75* with Colin Ackermann on 3* as he seems in no hurry to follow up his double tons last weekend.

  9. Postpublished at 15:36 British Summer Time 11 April

    Yorkshire 222-4 v Worcestershire

Jacob Duffy might have picked up his first Pears wicket this afternoon, and is bowling with good pace, but power is nothing without control and he's offering up some easy pickings all too frequently too.

He has 1-79 from 13 overs and George Hill and Dawid Malan are using the width and pace to keep the scorers busy. They have added 44 in next to no time.

  10. Postpublished at 15:36 British Summer Time 11 April

    Lancs v Northants 185-4

    Shot!

Saif Zaib picks up successive fours off the bowling of Anderson Phillip.

The third ball of the over is cut through cover point and the fourth ball is scythed through the same region.

    Zaib is on 16.

  11. new ball

Another new ballpublished at 53 overs

    Notts 163-5 v Essex

Essex are still not happy with the ball despite it being changed once and want another so out comes the silver suitcase and a third is selected.

It has no immediate impact as Verreynne cuts another lovely boundary through extra cover to compound Essex frustration.

This partnership, between Kyle Verrreynne and Lyndon James, which is now up to 85 as much is proving a major frustration for the visitors.

The Notts pair have bossed this middle session so far and look comfortable against spin and seam whatever ball Essex have in their hand.

  12. Postpublished at 15:33 British Summer Time 11 April

    Surrey 186-5 v Hants

Two slips in for Sonny Baker as Ryan Patel nudges the ball safely through the off side for a single.

Dom Sibley gets inside the line of a leg side bumper and leaves the ball alone.

There is a short leg and a leg slip in place here. Testing times.

  13. Postpublished at 15:30 British Summer Time 11 April

    Lancs v Northants 177-4

Saif Zaib turns Tom Bailey into mid wicket for a single to move to seven.

Single to James Sales worked into the on side.

Zaib will keep the strike with a single punched into the off side.

  14. 200 runs

200 up for Sussexpublished at 53.1 overs

    Sussex 201-7 v Somerset

John Simpson is a busy presence at the crease, always dabbing gardening, practising his stroke again and walking off towards square leg.

And he is busy reconstructing Sussex's faltering innings here at Hove in company with Jack Carson.

Somerset remain in control with seven wickets down but Simpson (27) and Carson (17) are fighting hard and a leg clip by the former off Blake Aldridge delivers two runs to bring up the milestone.

  15. 'Malan looking ominous for Pears'published at 15:25 British Summer Time 11 April

    Yorkshire 212-4 v Worcestershire

    Frank Watson
    BBC Hereford & Worcester

Worcestershire bowlers are trying to keep things in check here and have been boosted post lunch by a couple of pieces of good fortune.

A rare false shot from Adam Lyth produced a top edge from an attempted pull at the persevering Matthew Waite and a catch in the deep for Kashif Ali.

Then Jonny Bairstow who had made an uncertain start was very unfortunate to be adjudged caught behind off Adam Finch when the ball appeared to come off his body.

This after James Wharton’s attractive knock (44) was ended by Jacob Duffy taking his first wicket for Worcestershire.

Dawid Malan (43*) looks ominous, though, for The Pears.

  16. dropped catch

Sibley dropped on 54published at 15:24 British Summer Time 11 April

    Surrey 183-5 v Hants

Sonny Baker bowls short and the ball is so nearly guided off Sibley's bat at knee height to Toby Albert at short leg.

Albert has already held three catches in the slips today, but this one goes straight in and straight out again.

  17. 200 runs

200 up for Yorkshirepublished at 15:23 British Summer Time 11 April

    Yorkshire 205-4 v Worcestershire

Dawid Malan and George Hill are motoring in the Headingley sunshine.

The duo have added 32 from 26 balls since Jonny Bairstow's controversial departure with Malan onto 42 from 53 balls and Hill on 17 from 19.

Batting bonus points in their sights after tea.

  18. Postpublished at 15:22 British Summer Time 11 April

    Lancs v Northants 171-4

James Sales is well forward to George Balderson, defending into the off side.

The fourth ball passes a defensive bat and goes through to keeper Matty Hurst.

Lancashire have squeezed the run rate since Luke Procter and Rob Keogh fell in quick succession.

Three runs an over since that point.

  19. Division Two round-uppublished at 15:20 British Summer Time 11 April

    #bbccricket

The latest in the second division games away from Old Trafford...

Kent eventually polished off the Middlesex tail at Canterbury to oust the visitors for 222.

Kashif Ali and Nathan Gilchrist collected three scalps apiece while Jack Davies finished unbeaten on 47.

Cameron Bancroft has brought up his 31st first class century and Gloucestershire are in total control on 220-1 against Glamorgan at Bristol.

The skipper has put on an unbeaten 163 for this wicket with Ollie Price who has a half-century of his own.

Derbyshire are toiling against Leicestershire at Grace Road.

The hosts are 267-5 with Peter Handscomb on 32* after half-centuries from Sol Budinger and Ian Holland earlier.

  20. Postpublished at 15:17 British Summer Time 11 April

    Surrey 181-5 v Hants

Sonny Baker bowls a leg side bouncer to Dom Sibley, who ducks.

Sibley tries to turn one round the corner but the ball is stopped at a short fine leg.

    Maiden over.
