  1. wicket

WICKETpublished at 16:57 British Summer Time 11 April

    Fisher c & b Baker 8 (Surrey 227-8 v Hants)

Surrey eight down with 25 overs left after this one from Sonny Baker.

A cameo knock from Matt Fisher, who hits successive fours through cover and then makes a hash of a pull shot, top edging a simple catch to the bowler.

Now Kemar Roach is in the middle with Dom Sibley.

  2. wicket

WICKETpublished at 16:57 British Summer Time 11 April

    Hill c Rodercisk b Allison 63 (Yorkshire 302-5 v Worcestershire)

Two balls later, and he's gone...

Ben Allison bangs one in short of a length and George Hill's eyes light up, though his attempt to cut away is slightly mistimed and can only send an edge through to Gareth Roderick. His 82-ball stint is at an end.

Another breakthrough out of nothing for the Pears.

Will Luxton is the new man in.

  3. 300 runs

300 up for Yorkshirepublished at 16:55 British Summer Time 11 April

    Yorkshire 302-4 v Worcestershire

George Hill drives pleasantly straight down the ground off Ben Allison to move to 63* and secure a second batting bonus point for the White Rose. Dawid Malan has 83* at the other end.

  4. 50 runs

50 for Saif Zaibpublished at 16:53 British Summer Time 11 April

    Lancs v Northants 244-4

Saif Zaib is forward to Tom Hartley to clip the spinner through mid wicket for a single and that's a fine half century from the Northants number six.

That's his first 50 of the season after a quiet season opener at home to Kent and also his 11th half century for Northants.

    70 balls and seven fours.

  5. Division Two updatepublished at 16:52 British Summer Time 11 April

    #bbccricket

Zak Crawley's tricky start to the season has continued as he lasted just four balls before being pinned in front by Toby Roland-Jones.

The duck follows the Kent and England opener's 1 and 31 in the opening-round win at Northants.

Ryan Higgins has also picked up the scalp of skipper Daniel Bell-Drummond as Kent have fallen to 9-2 in reply to Middlesex's 222.

Cam Bancroft has 123 and Ollie Price 87 as Gloucestershire have reached 264-1 at home to Glamorgan - an unbrroken 202 runs for the second wicket.

Leicestershire are continuing to turn the screw against Derbyshire, moving to 299-5 with a half-century for Peter Handscomb.

  6. wicket

WICKETpublished at 16:48 British Summer Time 11 April

    Clark c Brown b Dawson 3 (Surrey 218-7 v Hants)

Early breakthrough for Hampshire after tea and Surrey may be struggling for a batting point from here.

Jordan Clark is cramped for room as he goes back to Liam Dawson to cut and feathers the ball to Hampshire captain and keeper Ben Brown.

Matt Fisher is in next for Surrey.

  7. 6 runs

Sibley goes bigpublished at 16:47 British Summer Time 11 April

    Surrey 217-6 v Hants

    Well, who saw this coming?

Hampshire's most frugal bowler, Liam Dawson, is taken down by Surrey's most watchful batter as Dom Sibley takes a little step forward and swipes the spinner over deep mid wicket.

  8. Batting point for Sussexpublished at 68 overs

    Sussex 255-9 v Somerset

Jayden Seales and Sean Hunt climb over the 250 mark to grab a first (and quite possibly final) batting point.

But the hosts look well short of a respectable total on a track they chose to bat on even with one partnership still to contribute its full weight.

You never know though and at least they seem likely to have a crack at Somerset's top order tonight which could see them break the openers.

  9. Durham in trouble v Bearspublished at 16:45 British Summer Time 11 April

    Durham 239-7 v Warwickshire. McKinney 93.

    Martin Emmerson
    BBC Radio Newcastle

Durham have got themselves in a spot of bother after tea, losing three wickets for five runs in just two overs.

It all began when Colin Ackermann slog-swept Tazeem Ali to Hamza Shaikh on the legside boundary when on 18. Will Rhodes, who made 10 and two on his debut last weekend, went for a third ball duck, bowled by Ali.

Then Ben Raine missed one when he was on four and was bowled by Vishwa Fernando. He could have been out first ball after edging an Ali delivery straight through the legs of leg slip.

Last weekend Durham lost their last five wickets for just 21 runs at Notts and didn't recover from that. I feel they are going to leave plenty of runs out there today as well.

But in Ben McKinney they have hope. The opener has been steady and has 93 runs.

  10. 50 runs

50 for George Hillpublished at 16:43 British Summer Time 11 April

    Yorkshire 277-4 v Worcestershire

George Hill picks up his 14th first class half-century by hooking a short ball to third for his 10th four.

It's taken him just 71 balls to get there, and he's also brought up the unbroken century stand for this fifth wicket with Dawid Malan.

  11. Postpublished at 16:43 British Summer Time 11 April

    Lancs v Northants 242-4

James Sales keeps the strike, nudging Anderson Phillip through square leg for one.

Left arm spinner Tom Hartley will resume the bowling from the other end and Michael Jones dives to stop a drive passing him at extra cover.

Sales gets one to mid off and moves on to 86.

Two more to Zaib past mid off and he'll keep the strike with a single to mid on and now he's on 48.

  12. wicket

    WICKETpublished at 64.2 overs

    Simpson c Leach b Davey 47 (Sussex 242-9 v Somerset)

And once again the break does for Sussex.

They lost three in 10 deliveries straight after lunch and now the wicket that Somerset wanted, that of captain John Simpson for 47, is in the bag two balls into the evening session.

  13. Postpublished at 16:39 British Summer Time 11 April

    Surrey 206-6 v Hants

Spinner Liam Dawson has been hard to get away.

Jordan Clark drives through the on side but is comfortably picked up at mid on.

Dawson has bowled 11 overs for just 14 runs.

Runs for Dom Sibley, who strokes Brad Wheal through mid on for three.

  14. Back underway at Trent Bridgepublished at 65 overs

    Notts 217-6 v Essex

And Notts are back off and running with an edged four from the bat of Fergus O'Neill off Noah Thain.

Two balls later Simon Harmer puts O'Neill down on 31 at second slip.

The ball was moving in the air after it hit the edge and it was a sharp chance to his left but a drop nonetheless.

  15. Play back underway at Old Traffordpublished at 16:35 British Summer Time 11 April

    Lancs v Northants 234-4

Lancashire need early wickets, or at minimum stem the flow of runs from the bats of James Sales (83 not out) and Saif Zaib, who is unbeaten on 43.

The sixth wicket pair have added 75 in 17 overs.

Zaib will face West Indies pace bowler Anderson Phillip to get the session of play started.

The outfield has been descended upon by plenty of spectators during the Old Trafford tea break.

They are probably reflecting on the news about Sir James Anderson and lamenting him not being in the Lancashire side today.

He was doing some fitness work at lunchtime before this afternoon's announcement and without him in the team, Lancashire have toiled after lunch, conceding 145 runs in 34 overs.

Still, we're in April, it's not even Easter and we have glorious weather for a game of cricket.

What is there to complain about?

  17. wicket

    WICKETpublished at 66.2 overs

    Raine b Fernando 4 (Durham 234-7 v Warwickshire)

The flurry of wickets continues - three in six balls.

Vishwa Fernando cleans up Ben Raine and the Bears have their tails up.

Matty Potts heads out. He hardly had time to get his pads on.

  18. Surrey 200 uppublished at 16:31 British Summer Time 11 April

    Surrey 200-6 v Hants

Sibley gets an inside edge safely into the on side for a single.

Jordan Clark leaves a quick away seaming ball outside off, then defends subsequent deliveries down the ground to see out the over.

Sibley turns the first ball of the Liam Dawson over into the on side to bring up the Surrey 200 in the 66th.

  19. Play resumes at Headingleypublished at 16:29 British Summer Time 11 April

    Yorkshire 274-4 v Worcestershire

Ben Allison takes the first over after tea and George Hill clips away through the leg side for four from the first ball to move to 43.

More of the same for the Pears...

  20. wicket

    WICKETpublished at 65.5 overs

    Rhodes b Ali 0 (Durham 229-6 v Warwickshire)

Bowled him. Will Rhodes had to go for a three-ball duck.

18-year-old leggy Tazeem Chaudry Ali skids one through to clip the top of off-stump and send Rhodes trudging off looking at his shoes.

Ben Raine comes in and gets a stroke of luck with an edge down the leg side which flies away for four through the legs of leg slip.
