KENT ALL OUT FOR 155published at 15:36 British Summer Time 22 July

    Quinn c Cooke b Harris 0 (Glamorgan v Kent 155 all out)

There are collapses, and there are proper collapses.

Kent were 148-3 a short while ago. They have now been bowled out for 155, losing their last six wickets for just SEVEN runs.

Matt Quinn is last out, caught behind off James Harris as numbers nine, 10 and 11 all go for a duck.

Plus Joe Denly retired hurt earlier so he was unable to return to the crease.

Glamorgan's decision to bowl first is ultimately rewarded.

    Hants v Notts 73-2

He had a relatively lean time of it in the T20 Blast but Freddie McCann seems to be enjoying the return to the red-ball stuff.

He gets to 50 from 65 balls with seven fours.

  3. 50 runs

50 for Luxtonpublished at 15:34 British Summer Time 22 July

    Yorks 201-2 v Surrey

Two runs off the bowling of Will Jacks brings up a half century for Will Luxton.

It is a second half century for the 22-year-old in what is his 16th knock in first class cricket and arrived in 68 balls with eight fours.

  4. 50 runs

50 partnershippublished at 15:24 British Summer Time 22 July

    Derbys v Leics 222-3

Lewis Hill (77*) and Peter Handscomb (28*) bring up a 50 partnership to maintain the Leicestershire momentum.

If anything the scoring rate has increased since the dismissal of Rehan Ahmed.

  5. Close!published at 15:23 British Summer Time 22 July

    Yorks 193-2 v Surrey

James Wharton is very lucky to still be out there as replays show he was out stumped only for square leg umpire Nigel Llong to deem there was sufficient doubt.

Sai Kishore beats him outside off stump with Wharton taking a big stride and Josh Blake whips off the bails with the batters back foot still in front of the crease.

    That was a huge let-off.

  6. 'Hose will be pretty cross'published at 15:21 British Summer Time 22 July

    Warwickshire v Worcestershire 111-4

    Mike Taylor
    BBC WM commentator

Brett D'Oliveira looked to the sky and couldn't believe that Worcestershire lost a wicket in that manner.

Adam Hose had been playing so well and he'll be pretty cross to be out like that.

  7. Division Two latestpublished at 15:20 British Summer Time 22 July

    #bbccricket

We said Kane Williamson coming to the crease was not good news for Northants and he and Max Holden have already added 78 for the second wicket for Middlesex.

The score is now 200-1 and Holden is 14 away from a century as he has really accelerated since reaching 50.

Glamorgan are fighting back well in the afternoon session at Sophia Gardens.

Timm van der Gugten has taken three wickets, including two in two balls as Kent have collapsed from 148-3 to 153-7.

    Karvelas c Cox b Thain 1 (Sussex 171-9 v Essex)

    Sussex are subsiding.

Ari Karvelas tries to carve Noah Thain through the covers but hits it straight to Jordan Cox.

50 up for Nottinghamshirepublished at 15:17 British Summer Time 22 July

    Hants v Notts 52-2

Freddie McCann seems to be finding the conditions to his liking - he's got 40 from 49 balls.

    Sussex 169-8 v Essex

The Essex seamers are showing it is possible to take wickets with the Kookaburra ball and have exploited the favourable bowling conditions to the full.

Jamie Porter has been the pick of the attack taking three wickets, with Sam Cook on his return from England duty also impressive.

Only James Coles with a typically stylish half-century has looked entirely comfortable.

    Simpson c Cox b Harmer 34 (Sussex 169-8 v Essex)

    Two wickets in two balls.

Simon Harmer finds the edge of John Simpson's bat and Jordan Cox takes the catch at slip.

Sussex's big problem today has been losing wickets in clutches and they've done it again.

  12. wicket

WICKETpublished at 15:10 British Summer Time 22 July

Hose run out (Barnard) 40 (Warwickshire v Worcestershire 109-4)

    Worcestershire fans look away now...

After over 80 minutes of stubborn resistance, how do you not want to be out?

Brett D'Oliveira pushes one into the offside and sets off for a quick single.

Adam Hose hesitates halfway and that proves fatal as Ed Barnard swoops in from point and throws down the stumps at the striker's end.

Hose's patiently accumulated innings is over.

  13. wicket

WICKETpublished at 15:10 British Summer Time 22 July

    Carson c Pepper b Thain 25 (Sussex 169-7 v Essex)

I was just writing how well Jack Carson was batting.

To be fair he doesn't do a lot wrong as he plays straight but feathers a catch through to Michael Pepper to give Noah Thain his first wicket.

A fifth catch for Pepper by the way.

  14. wicket

WICKETpublished at 15:05 British Summer Time 22 July

Bohannon st Bracey b van Buuren 39 (Glocs v Lancs 106-3)

The rain break has done for Josh Bohannon who dances down the wicket to Graeme van Buuren and is done for turn, James Bracey whipping off the bails behind.

  15. 'Slater can't believe it'published at 15:03 British Summer Time 22 July

    Hants v Notts 31-2

    Kevan James
    BBC Radio Solent commentator

That was the perfect delivery and Ben Slater looked down the wicket and couldn't quite believe that had got through his defences.

It hit the top of off and you can't get better than that.

Slater played so far inside that which will give you an example of how much that straightened.

    He can't believe it.

  16. wicket

DURHAM 145 ALL OUTpublished at 15:02 British Summer Time 22 July

    Potts c Abell b Leach 21 (Somerset v Durham 145 all out)

Matthew Potts reverse sweeps Jack Leach and Tom Abell takes a good low catch at backward point.

That has been a great display with the ball from the hosts on a helpful pitch but there have been some clues at the end as to how to approach their innings.

Ben Raine (42), Neil Wagner (24) and Matthew Potts (21) maybe got the softer ball but were aggressive and came off.

Star of the show was Craig Overton who finishes with 6-23 and found himself on two hat-tricks.

  17. wicket

WICKETpublished at 15:00 British Summer Time 22 July

    Slater b Abbott 7 (Hants v Notts 31-2)

Under the lights in the gloom at Utilita Bowl, Kyle Abbott gets the ball talking.

The ball straightens quite a long way and Ben Slater is bowled.

Tilak Varma will be a relieved man as he dropped Slater in the morning session - that miss cost only two runs.

  18. 150 runs

150 up for Sussexpublished at 14:59 British Summer Time 22 July

    Sussex 150-6 v Essex

It hasn't come without considerable damage but Sussex get to 150.

The sun is out at Hove now.

Sussex captain John Simpson is unbeaten on 25 from 77 balls and has found solid support from Jack Carson.

  19. 'Interesting to see how Somerset bat'published at 14:58 British Summer Time 22 July

    Somerset v Durham 145-9

    Martin Emmerson
    BBC Radio Newcastle

Durham have at least avoided their lowest score against Somerset, which incidentally was 116 in a narrow win in Chester-le-Street in 2013.

For a long while today it didn't look like they would reach three figures, as Craig Overton ran through them, taking 6-17 as the visitors struggled on a green top in Taunton.

Twice he was on a hat-trick, bowling a nagging length which left a few of the batters unsure what the best way forward was.

Alex Lees had offered resistance until he tried to smash Overton into the graveyard and instead got a nasty top-edge which steepled up and back to the bowler when he was on 27.

It was an awful shot, but he'd obviously decided to throw caution to the wind. Ben Raine then made 42 and Neil Wagner 24.

I am not sure what to make of the track. I think it is a bit sticky and that is catching the players out, however some of the shots we have seen have been really poor too.

Maximum bowling points came after 27.4 overs. It will be interesting to see how Somerset cope with the bat.

  20. 100 runs

100 up for Worcestershirepublished at 14:57 British Summer Time 22 July

    Warwickshire v Worcestershire 100-3

Patience has been the order of the day for Worcestershire in this session - think India on the final day at Lord's last week - but crucially they have not lost a wicket.

Brett D'Oliveira gets a couple down the ground to reach that landmark.

It's also a 50-partnership between the skipper and Adam Hose for the fourth wicket.
