  1. 'Very interesting day of cricket'published at 14:49 British Summer Time 22 July

    Yorks 151-2 v Surrey

    Mark Church
    BBC Radio London commentator

It's been a very interesting day of cricket so far.

We've still got a bit of way to go until tea time which will be when there are 32 overs remaining in the day.

  2. wicket

WICKETpublished at 14:49 British Summer Time 22 July

    Wagner c Davey b Ball 24 (Somerset v Durham 137-9)

Now Jake Ball joins the party ending a good little cameo from Neil Wagner.

The Kiwi has just mistimed that drive and lobbed it to Josh Davey at mid-on but he has done a decent job of adding some heft to Durham's innings.

  3. 150 runs

150 up for Yorkspublished at 14:48 British Summer Time 22 July

    Yorkshire 151-2 v Surrey

James Wharton clips Jamie Overton for two runs to bring up Yorkshire's 150 and these two, Wharton and Will Luxton, have done a decent job after the loss of the openers.

  4. Back out at Hampshirepublished at 14:44 British Summer Time 22 July

    Hants v Notts 20-1

    Good afternoon.

We are back out at Utilita Bowl and ready to go - 57 overs remain in the day - overtime all around everyone (makes note to speak to boss).

    The floodlights are on.

  5. Postpublished at 14:41 British Summer Time 22 July

    Somerset v Durham 133-8

And that is a fourth boundary in the over from Wagner.

The partnership is 30 from four overs and Jack Leach is now on to slow things down a bit.

  6. wicket

WICKETpublished at 14:41 British Summer Time 22 July

    Ahmed c Jewell b Chappell 115 (Derbys v Leics 169-3)

Zak Chappell makes the breakthrough for Derbyshire.

Rehan Ahmed's fine innings ends on 115 as Australian Caleb Jewell hangs onto the catch.

Peter Handscomb is next in for the Division Two leaders.

  7. Postpublished at 14:39 British Summer Time 22 July

    Somerset v Durham 129-8

Neil Wagner (20) and Matthew Potts (11) are taking the game to Somerset and Josh Davey is their target.

The Somerset man has been the one bowler slightly off the pace this morning and three fours in four balls from Wagner has continued to interrupt his rhythm.

  8. 50 runs

50 for Max Holdenpublished at 14:39 British Summer Time 22 July

    Middlesex 150-1 v Northamptonshire

Max Holden is a very fine player and the left-hander brings up a well-deserved half-century.

Ben Sanderson tries to bounce him but it's down legside and Holden helps it fine for an easy four off his 125th delivery.

It has not always been easy today, but the 27-year-old is getting his rewards for sticking in there.

  9. Postpublished at 14:36 British Summer Time 22 July

    Warwickshire v Worcestershire 89-3

A first maximum of the match as Adam Hose swivels on to the back foot and pulls Ethan Bamber over the short boundary into the Hollies Stand.

A cardinal sin from Bamber to drop short when you're looking for a bit of seam movement.

A much better length next ball but Hose manages to squirt it down to the vacant area at deep third and he picks up three more.

This is becoming a good recovery act between him and Brett D'Oliveira.

  10. 50 runs

50 For Lewis Hillpublished at 14:35 British Summer Time 22 July

    Derbys v Leics 165-2

It's been a little more sedate than his partner Rehan Ahmed's century but Lewis Hill gets to 50 from 116 balls with four fours.

His effort has been just as important as Ahmed's after he came in at 0-2.

  11. Postpublished at 14:29 British Summer Time 22 July

    Warwickshire v Worcestershire 80-3

That is beautiful from Pears captain Brett D'Oliveira.

Ollie Hannon-Dalby offers a bit of width and also goes too full and D'Oliveira drives it imperiously through the covers.

It's a long boundary on the offside for him, as this Edgbaston pitch is very lopsided, but that had no problem in going all the way.

  12. Play to resume at Hampshirepublished at 14:27 British Summer Time 22 July

    Hants v Notts 20-1

Providing we have no further rain we will resume play at 14:45 BST.

    We went off at 11:45.

There are 57 overs remaining in the day with tea set for 16:30.

  13. 'Hannon-Dalby will be anxious to get some wickets'published at 14:26 British Summer Time 22 July

    Warwickshire v Worcestershire 75-3

    Phil Britt
    BBC Radio WM

Warwickshire have bowled pretty well. I thought Ethan Bamber bowled really accurately this morning and Ed Barnard again, as he does nearly every time he plays, always puts in a good shift.

Ollie Hannon-Dalby will be anxious to get some wickets. It's not been a great season for him. He missed the first couple of games of the season against Durham and Sussex but it's been thin picking for him.

For a bowler who in the past couple of seasons who has got 50 Championship wickets each year, he has just nine at the moment.

  14. wicket

WICKETpublished at 14:23 British Summer Time 22 July

    Raine c Rew b Davey 42 (Somerset v Durham 102-8)

And Ben Raine's luck runs out.

He has lashed Josh Davey for 12 in three balls but has not moved his feet at all and edged a simple chance behind to James Rew.

The way Raine attacked has stood out as the way to go here, for all that his hand was pretty much forced by the failure of those above him.

But Somerset will take note and could come out swinging when they get into bat.

  15. Division Two latestpublished at 14:22 British Summer Time 22 July

    #bbccricket

Northants have a wicket at Northwood where Ben Sanderson has removed Sam Robson for 57.

Middlesex now have New Zealand star Kane Williamson at the crease with Max Holden on 130-1.

Kent skipper Daniel Bell-Drummond has moved to 34, but Glamorgan have dismissed Chris Benjamin for 23, lbw to Ben Kellaway.

    The visitors are now 139-3.

  16. dropped catch

Raine dropped on 36published at 14:20 British Summer Time 22 July

    Somerset v Durham 98-7

That was a very difficult chance and Archie Vaughan has done well to dive to his left at cover and stop the boundary but, with a little more luck, he might have hung on to that.,

Ben Raine is fighting fire with fire here and lashed Josh Davey for six, two (the drop) and four.

  17. Postpublished at 14:19 British Summer Time 22 July

    Warwickshire v Worcestershire 74-3

A good ball from Beau Webster strikes Adam Hose on the pads.

There is an enthusiastic shout from behind the stumps, if less so from the bowler, but crucially the call is not out.

Webster almost goes as if for a conflab with his team-mates to discuss sending it upstairs for a review.

Not here, mate! This is county cricket.

  18. 'Huge wicket'published at 14:15 British Summer Time 22 July

    Sussex 120-6 v Essex

    Nick Gledhill
    BBC Essex

That's a huge wicket because of Fynn Hudson-Prentice's credentials with the bat.

He is a very useful all-rounder but Jamie Porter was just too good for him there. A very good delivery.

    Essex are doing really well.

  19. 150 runs

150 up for Leicestershirepublished at 14:15 British Summer Time 22 July

    Derbys v Leics 150-2

The 150 is up for the Division Two leaders and Rehan Ahmed (107*) and Lewis Hill (42*) have a 150 partnership for the third wicket.

I'm not sure at 0-2 in the morning gloom any of us would have predicted this.

  20. rain stops play

Rain stops play at Cheltenhampublished at 14:11 British Summer Time 22 July

    Glocs v Lancs 105-2

Covers are on as a bit of light rain comes down.

Marcus Harris (16) and Josh Bohannon (39) have steadied the ship for Lancs in the second session and the visitors will feel they are in decent shape.

Light rain has turned into slightly heavier rain and the bowlers run ups are now being covered as well.
