  1. 50 runs

50 up for Nottspublished at 15:24 British Summer Time 13 May

    Notts 50-1 - Target 81

New batter Will Young brings up the 50 with a good cut shot off Saqib Mahmood.

Half a dozen or so more of those and this game will be done.

  2. Postpublished at 15:24 British Summer Time 13 May

    Kent 407 & 89-3 v Worcestershire 618-7 dec

Daniel Bell-Drummond and Harry Finch have done a good job of dampening the enthusiasm of Worcestershire here.

The fielding side were bouncing about and chirping away when that third wicket fell, giving them real hope of a truly miraculous victory.

However the clouds which were gathering at Canterbury, on and off the pitch, have parted and the batters look comfortable on the flat and docile track once more

  3. 'Seamers have to be given a break'published at 15:23 British Summer Time 13 May

    Kent 407 & 88-3 v Worcestershire 618-7 dec

It's just not possible for the seamers to keep going, keep going and keep going.

I think they've got to be given a little bit of a break and I think a spinner at one end or be it one who is whizzing through his overs, the seamers are not getting a lot of time but he's going to have to keep rotating them - Nathan Smith, Ben Gibbon, Joe Leach and Matthew Waite.

They've all put in a fair shift in this game so far.

  4. GLOUCS BEAT NORTHANTS BY 256 RUNSpublished at 15:23 British Summer Time 13 May

    Northamptonshire 171 & 301 v Gloucestershire 409 & 319-5 dec

Game over at Wantage Road and Gloucestershire's first Championship win of the season is thoroughly deserved.

Ajeet Singh Dale claims the final wicket as Ben Sanderson edges to the keeper, leaving Lewis McManus 10 not out.

Dale finishes with 3-69, but Marchant de Lange (3-58) was the pick of their attack, having been involved in a memorable duel with Karun Nair.

The Northants batter was hit on the helmet and hand before de Lange finally saw him off for 61, with skipper Luke Procter earlier falling to Tom Price for 60.

  5. Tea at Utilita Bowlpublished at 15:23 British Summer Time 13 May

    Hampshire 503 & 62-2 v Durham 432

Tea is being taken by the players at Utilita Bowl.

There will be an inspection at 15:30 BST to see if play can resume.

Durham minds are probably drifting towards the long coach journey home... M27, M3, M1, A1...

  6. wicket

WICKET Kaul b Gohar 4published at 15:19 British Summer Time 13 May

    Northants 171 & 300-9 v Glos 409 & 319-5 dec

Siddarth Kaul may be playing for some spin - but there isn't any.

The ball from left-armer Zafar Gohar goes on with the arm and bowls him between bat and pad.

    Gloucestershire almost there.

  7. 50 runs

50 partnership for Kentpublished at 15:17 British Summer Time 13 May

    Kent 407 & 86-3 v Worcestershire 618-7 dec

Matthew Waite has launched a bouncer at Harry Finch.

It doesn't need to be that short of a ball, in truth. But it spits up above his head and Gareth Roderick cannot quite corral it and it races away for a couple of byes.

Four more byes from the next delivery bring up the half-century partnership in just 76 balls between Finch (15*) and Daniel Bell-Drummond who is on 26*.

  8. wicket

WICKET Slater c Hurst b Mahmood 31published at 15:16 British Summer Time 13 May

    Notts 44-1 - Target 81

There will be no 'not-out' for Ben Slater!

A fine ball from Saqib Mahmood takes the edge of the bat and is caught behind.

It's a second wicket in the match for Mahmood, both times Slater being the victim.

  9. Postpublished at 15:14 British Summer Time 13 May

    Notts 44-0 - Target 81

    Four more!

Almost a replica of his prevous four off Saqib Mahmood for Ben Slater.

He fancies some nice easy runs and a not-out by the looks of it!

  10. wicket

    WICKET Patterson-White b Dale 12published at 15:12 British Summer Time 13 May

    Northants 171 & 295-8 v Glos 409 & 319-5 dec

Ajeet Singh Dale is called up to give Marchant de Lange a breather and hustles his first delivery through Liam Patterson-White's defences to leave Gloucestershire just two wickets away from their first Championship win of the season.

Not a great bit of batting by the Northants loanee there, he didn't judge the length at all and was caught on the back foot.

  11. Postpublished at 15:08 British Summer Time 13 May

    Notts 34-0 - Target 81

The T20 Blast is only a couple of weeks away and Ben Slater seems to be getting some practise in.

Saqib Mahmood is on to bowl and when he drops short, Slater slams it through midwicket.

Take that, his fifth four of the innings!

  12. Postpublished at 15:07 British Summer Time 13 May

    Northants 171 & 287-7 v Glos 409 & 319-5 dec

How many more does Marchant de Lange have in him in this spell?

The first ball of a new over gives Liam Patterson-White too much room and he cracks it through the covers for four.

The fast bowler attempts a yorker with the next one and ends up on all fours in the dust.

    Never a dull moment.

  13. Postpublished at 15:04 British Summer Time 13 May

    Northants 171 & 280-7 v Glos 409 & 319-5 dec

That's too short from spinner Zafar Gohar and allows Liam Patterson-White to rock onto the back foot and cut it away for four.

Another 49 overs for Northants to negotiate, though, unless the weather intervenes.

  14. Postpublished at 15:03 British Summer Time 13 May

    Notts 29-0 - Target 81

Ben Slater looks in the mood as he adds two more boundaries off the next over from Tom Bailey.

Notts are rattling along nicely. We won't need a tea break, due at 3.40pm, at this rate.

  15. 'I think it will stay like this'published at 15:02 British Summer Time 13 May

    Hampshire 503 & 62-2 v Durham 432

    Kevan James
    BBC Radio Solent commentator

The light isn't great but with two spinners on have we seen cricket in this sort of light before?

I think it will stay like this, it's not going to get any better.

The light meter is being used out there and sometimes that sort of in between light from a distance it give you a different impression to what's out there in the middle.

  16. Postpublished at 14:59 British Summer Time 13 May

    Notts 20-0 - Target 81

Lovely shot through the offside sees Ben Slater goes past his first innings score of four.

He sends the next ball past a diving Luke Wells at cover to collect back-to-back boundaries.

    Only 61 more for victory.

  17. wicket

WICKET Zaib c Bracey b de Lange 3published at 14:57 British Summer Time 13 May

    Northants 171 & 275-7 v Glos 409 & 319-5 dec

    Superb.

Marchant de Lange doesn't just bang them in short. That one has pace and movement from a decent length and a thin edge by Saif Zaib is easy pickings from wicketkeeper James Bracey.

De Lange now has 3-47 from 18.5 overs.

    Kent 407 & 61-3 v Worcestershire 618-7 dec

I'm sure we all have images of Jack Leaning sat in the dressing room up to his ankles in a footspa while a succession of his teammates trudge past him and out to the middle.

I fear it may be slightly more of a worry than him simply having a rest - the blow on the left hand last night was clearly causing discomfort although he did tell BBC Radio Kent's Matt Cole 'I don't think it's broken.'

Kent fans will sincerely hope his diagnosis is right and he will be able to contribute, if required, later on.

The deficit is finally down to 150, but Kent are three down in their follow-on.

  20. Bad light stops playpublished at 14:51 British Summer Time 13 May

    Hampshire 503 & 62-2 v Durham 432

The players are heading off for bad light at Utilita Bowl.

Not sure if they will be too bothered if they do not come back on.

Hampshire lead by 133 runs, but this game is destined for a draw.
