  1. DURHAM ALL OUT FOR 587published at 12:49 British Summer Time 24 June

    Siddle b Harmer 6

    All over!

Peter Siddle tries to push the final ball of Simon Harmer's 45th over into the offside and it takes an inside edge onto his off stump.

It brings up 450 first-class wickets for the South African spinner. Boy, he's had to work for them!

Two bowling points for Essex and a maximum five batting points for the visitors.

  2. Postpublished at 12:46 British Summer Time 24 June

    Notts 35-1 v Somerset

    Oooof!

Almost a first wicket for Dane Paterson as he induces a first play and miss from Tom Lammonby.

The Somerset batter withdraws his bat, but it was most certainly after the event and the ball flies through to wicketkeeper Tom Moores.

Notts have tightened things up nicely here with three successive maidens.

Lyndon James runs in for the first time this morning, replacing Dillon Pennington, with lunch on the horizon.

  3. 50 runs

50 for Marnus Labuschagnepublished at 12:46 British Summer Time 24 June

    Northants 279 v Glamorgan 133-2

While Australia continue to come to terms with their World T20 defeat by Afghanistan, it's business as usual for one of their own as Marnus Labuschagne reached 50 off 64 balls at Sophia Gardens.

Perfect timing as he whips a floated delivery from Liam Patterson-White for four. Quality stroke. Quality batter.

  4. Serene progress for Lancashirepublished at 12:45 British Summer Time 24 June

    Kent 244 v Lancs 150-1

Four more runs to Luke Wells, who holds the pose after driving through cover on the front foot.

Nine runs come in the over, bowled by Jas Singh.

Michael O'Riordan comes into the Kent attack in the 37th over and the off spinner gets a bit of turn into Josh Bohannon.

But his next ball is flicked to fine leg and beats Ben Compton to the fence for four.

The Lancashire 150 comes two balls later via a cut to deep backward point by Bohannon.

  5. Division Two updatepublished at 12:43 British Summer Time 24 June

Two wickets in quick succession for Gloucestershire's Dom Goodman as Conor McKerr is caught at gully for 17, leaving Yorkshire on 437-9 in their first innings at Scarborough.

Leicestershire have halted their slump - for now - at Hove and are 68-4 after 13 overs, replying to Sussex's 442 all out.

Marnus Labuschagne is closing on a 50 for Glamorgan against Northants - two successive fours off Liam Patterson-White take him to 45 not out and the total to 128-2.

Derbyshire have begun their first innings at Lord's and are 12-0 after two overs, having finally bowled Middlesex out for 433.

  6. Postpublished at 12:40 British Summer Time 24 June

    Warwks 121-5 v Hants 298

Muhammad Abbas bowls to Jacob Bethell, who leaves a wide ball back of a length outside off.

    Maiden over.

Dan Mousley gets a single into the off side facing James Fuller and Bethell moves to 11 with three runs leaning back and driving into the off side.

Mousley moves to 39 with a drive down the ground off the same bowler. That ball nearly struck Bethell at the other end but he evades it in the nick of time.

  7. wicket

WICKET Raine c Bosch b Critchley 37published at 12:40 British Summer Time 24 June

    Essex v Durham 574-9

Ben Raine looks to push the score along, but his attempted reverse sweep finds the hands of Eathan Bosch at backward point.

A useful knock, made off just 45 balls.

And a fourth wicket for Matt Critchley. They've cost him 153 runs so far.

Will they declare? No, Durham look to be batting through. Peter Siddle joins Callum Parkinson.

  8. Postpublished at 12:40 British Summer Time 24 June

    Worcs v Surrey 414-8

Dan Lawrence has been trying to shield James Taylor from the strike.

    Perhaps there's no need.

Matthew Waite drops short and the Surrey tail-ender pulls it fiercely away for four to open his account.

  9. Postpublished at 12:38 British Summer Time 24 June

How great it must be to stride back towards the Lord's pavilion and receive the applause for an unbeaten century.

Sadly, we will never know that feeling - but Middlesex's Ryan Higgins does.

    Notts 360 v Somerset 35-1

A change in the Notts attack as Dane Paterson replaces Olly Stone after his four-over burst.

Tom Kohler-Cadmore takes a fancy to the new man, launching his fourth ball for a six and then adds a boundary to the final ball of his first over.

Tom Lammonby joins the party with the second boundary of his innings off Dillon Pennington.

Somerset are picking up the pace on what looks a beaut of a day for batting.

  11. 'Bohannon 50 warmly welcomed'published at 12:36 British Summer Time 24 June

    Kent 244 v Lancs 134-1

    Scott Read
    BBC Radio Lancashire

After a standout year 12 months ago, 2024 hasn't so far gone to plan for Josh Bohannon.

Since his debut in 2018, its been a pretty steady upward curve, so he can be forgiven for a slow start to a season for the first time in his career.

Division One's leading run scorer last season has managed just one previous 50 this time around and will be warnly welcomed in the Lancashire dressing room.

The T20 Blast probably came at a good time for this fine Lancashire number three, maybe just helping to free up the shackles of the challenge of batting in April.

  12. 50 runs

50 for Josh Bohannonpublished at 12:33 British Summer Time 24 June

    Kent 244 v Lancs 134-1

That's his second 50 of the season and his first since his 84 in the opening round of the summer against Surrey at Old Trafford.

He reaches the landmark with successive fours off Jas Singh, tucking a leg side ball round the corner and then cutting a short ball from the bowler through cover point.

    92 balls and eight fours.

  13. wicket

WICKET Hill lbw Goodman 45published at 12:31 British Summer Time 24 June

    Yorks 420-8 v Gloucs

No 50 for George Hill, who tries to pull a ball from Dom Goodman but is bang in front when the ball keeps a bit low.

Conor McKerr is the new batter and announces his arrival with back to back fours off Zaman Akhter.

  14. Postpublished at 12:29 British Summer Time 24 June

    Kent 244 v Lancs 126-1

Luke Wells feasts on a leg side ball from Beyers Swanepoel and taps the ball behind square on the front foot for four.

Four more off a near identical shot through square leg.

Swanepoel bowls a much better line to the right-handed Josh Bohannon, who defends the fifth ball and drives the last one through mid on for a single.

    10 off the over.

  15. MIDDLESEX ALL OUT FOR 433published at 12:28 British Summer Time 24 June

    Higgins c Madsen b Reece 163

Ryan Higgins' quite magnificent innings of 163 comes to an end as Wayne Madsen pouches the chance to give Luis Reece a first wicket.

His 226-ball knock featured 16 fours and four sixes and helped Middlesex add 71 runs for the last wicket with Ethan Bamber who finishes unbeaten on 28.

Derbyshire now face an awkward spell before lunch.

  16. Postpublished at 12:25 British Summer Time 24 June

    Warwks 107-5 v Hants 298

Jacob Bethell pushes Muhammad Abbas into the off side and Dan Mousley calls his batting partner through for a quick single.

This pair have put on 23 since the fifth wicket fell and nerves might be settling just a fraction in the Warwickshire ranks.

Dan Mousley drives the fourth ball for a single and Bethell sees out the over, leaving outside off stump.

  17. wicket

WICKET Goldsworthy c Alsop b Robinson 0published at 12:25 British Summer Time 24 June

    Sussex 442 v Leics 51-4

Ollie Robinson bowling for SussexImage source, Rex Features

England's Ollie Robinson has the bit between his teeth at Hove.

He claims his third wicket with a lifting ball which Lewis Goldsworthy can only edge to first slip.

Very difficult to play that one - not short of a length at all.

  18. wicket

WICKET Potts c and b Critchley 17published at 12:24 British Summer Time 24 June

    Essex v Durham 557-8

Not the most orthodox of caught and bowled wickets!

Matthew Potts looks to whack the leather off the ball and dish out more punishment on Matt Critchley.

Instead his attempted slog goes all wrong. One hand comes off the bat as the ball spoons high up off a top edge and Critchley takes the catch over his shoulder.

That's his third wicket - they have come at a cost.

    Callum Parkinson joins Ben Raine.

  19. 550 up for Durhampublished at 12:23 British Summer Time 24 June

    Essex v Durham 553-7

Ben Raine milks Simon Harmer for a single, taking hm to 28 off 29 balls, and moving Durham on to 550 midway through the 116th over.

A great sliding stop from Shane Snater on the deep backward square leg boundary denies Matthew Potts a boundary. Some commitment that.

  20. 'Lawrence could run out of partners'published at 12:23 British Summer Time 24 June

    Worcs v Surrey 401-8

    Sam Dalling
    BBC Radio London

Surrey have lost their eighth wicket and they just need to be a little bit careful here because what they don't want is for Dan Lawrence to run out of partners.
