    Warwks 86-5 v Hants 298

Keith Barker continues in search of his fourth wicket of the morning.

Dan Mousley finds a gap through extra cover and Felix Organ covers a lot of ground on the off side to keep it to two.

Barker pushes the next ball out a bit wider and Mousley leaves it.

Excellent spell from Barker, who must be one of the best English Championship bowlers not to play for England.

  2. 500 up for Durhampublished at 11:56 British Summer Time 24 June

    Essex v Durham 506-6

Matt Critchley will be sick of the sight of Ollie Robinson.

The Durham batter slog sweeps the spinner out of the ground for the second time this morning, this time hitting the roof of the stand on its way to the neighbouring apartments once more.

    New ball please!

Ben Raine then takes a boundary off the final ball of the over from the hapless Critchley to take Durham to 506-6 - their highest-ever score against Essex.

  3. Evison punished by Wellspublished at 11:52 British Summer Time 24 June

    Kent 244 v Lancs 88-1

Joey Evison is in the attack and his first over costs 10.

The fourth ball of the over is full, wide of off and driven through wide mid off for four.

The fifth ball is back of a length on off stump and whipped through mid wicket for four more.

A couple more runs come off the last ball and Lancashire are firmly in control of this Kent attack this morning.

Josh Bohannon picks up four more with a silky drive down the ground off George Garrett at the other end.

  4. wicket

WICKET Holland c Simpson b Robinson 1published at 11:51 British Summer Time 24 June

    Sussex 442 v Leics 5-1

It's raining wickets all of a sudden.

Having scored 183 not out for Sussex, John Simpson is in action with the gloves in the third over of Leicestershire's reply as Ollie Robinson finds just enough movement to take the edge of Ian Holland's bat.

Rishi Patel made a dazzling hundred in the T20 Blast on Friday night and the visitors could do with another big score from him today.

He flashes the first ball of the next over, bowled by Sean Hunt, through point for four.

  5. dropped catch

Bethell dropped on 0published at 11:48 British Summer Time 24 June

    Warwks 83-5 v Hants 298

Regulation chance, edging waist high to Liam Dawson, who hardly moves his feet and grasses it.

The ball was coming to him quickly but that's definitely a missed chance.

  6. wicket

WICKET Abbott b Taylor 18published at 11:47 British Summer Time 24 June

    Worcs v Surrey 378-7

Dropped off Shoaib Bashir in the previous over, Sean Abbott's innings comes to an end as he comes down the track and tries to loft Tom Taylor into the crowd but makes no contact and is bowled.

The off bail is broken so the umpires send for a new one.

WICKET Barnard b Barker 7published at 11:47 British Summer Time 24 June

    Warwks 83-5 v Hants 298

Out! Keith Barker strikes for the third time this morning.

Full length, swinging in a touch, beating a forward push and hitting off stump.

Poetry in motion for a fast bowler and now it's time for Jacob Bethell to have a bat.

  8. wicket

You wait all that time for a wicket and then two come in three balls.

Bas de Leede pushes forward and gets an inside edge on to his front pad off Simon Harmer.

Nick Browne dives to his left to take a fine one-handed low catch and give Harmer his third wicket.

Ben Raine comes in looking for quick runs,

  9. NOTTS ALL OUT FOR 360published at 11:46 British Summer Time 24 June

    Paterson c Pretorius b Aldridge 14

Paterson's fun is over as Dane Paterson chips a catch to Migael Pretorius to give Kasey Aldridge a five-wicket haul.

Notts will take that score as the final three wickets add 170 runs.

A day for batting, though. Somerset will fancy their chances.

  10. 'Ackermann didn't quite connect with it'published at 11:44 British Summer Time 24 June

    Essex v Durham 489-5

    Martin Emmerson
    BBC Radio Newcastle

Colin Ackermann came forward to play that one. He didn't quite connect with it, it was just a low loopy little inside edge towards the fielder.

He came down the track and just pushed at the ball and I think he was leaning just a little bit too far at shorter pitch delivery than he thought.

That will give Essex some interest again.

  11. Postpublished at 11:44 British Summer Time 24 June

    Kent 244 v Lancs 70-1

Lovely shot from Luke Wells, flicking a leg side ball from Charlie Stobo through mid wicket for four.

Josh Bohannon latches on to a wide ball from George Garrett at the other end and hammers it through cover on the back foot for four more.

Lancashire are moving smoothly through the gears.

    Essex v Durham 487-5

    Breakthrough for Essex!

A 175-run fifth-wicket stand is broken as Simon Harmer finds the inside edge of Colin Ackermann's bat and it loops up to Nick Browne at short leg.

Bas de Leede is new man in.

  13. Robinson sets new high markpublished at 11:41 British Summer Time 24 June

    Essex v Durham 487-4

Ollie Robinson takes two through deep backward point to move to 173 and eclipse his previous highest first-class score.

He takes 14 off that Matt Critchley over and looks set for many more.

  14. wicket

    WICKET Byrom c Shaw b Patterson-White 22published at 11:41 British Summer Time 24 June

    Glamorgan 63-1 v Northants 279

Spin does the trick for Northants and what a catch!

Eddie Byrom goes back to left-armer Liam Patterson-White and Prithvi Shaw somehow hangs onto the chance by his right shoulder at first slip despite having little or no time to react.

    Warwks 77-4 v Hants 298

Ed Barnard drives at Keith Barker, edging the ball and it falls just short of Liam Dawson at slip.

Oh, hold on a minute. He got a hand to that. It's a drop.

    Notts 356-9 v Somerset

A more convincing shot from Dane Paterson brings him three and secures a third batting point for Notts.

He then clatters a four over the leaping Tom Lammonby to pick up his first boundary and move on to nine.

  18. Division Two updatepublished at 11:36 British Summer Time 24 June

Gloucestershire are fighting back against Yorkshire on the second morning at Scarborough. Ajeet Singh Dale has Dom Bess caught at second slip for seven and traps Will Luxton lbw for a duck to leave the home side on 379-5.

Northamptonshire have their two young pacemen - Gus Miller and Raphy Weatherall - operating in tandem in Cardiff, but Glamorgan are now 62-0 after 15 overs.

  19. Postpublished at 11:35 British Summer Time 24 June

    Warwks 75-4 v Hants 298

A bright start for Ed Barnard, who is off the mark third ball with a sweetly timed back foot push through cover for four.

Warwickshire need plenty more of that after losing two wickets inside the first half hour of Day Two.

Another tidy over from Kyle Abbott, conceding just two.

  20. 6 runs

Postpublished at 11:34 British Summer Time 24 June

    Essex v Durham 479-4

Welcome to the action, Matt Critchley!

Ollie Robinson launches his first ball of the day out of the ground, hitting the roof of some neighbouring flats to move to 165.

He needs seven more to eclipse his previous highest first-class score.
