    Sussex 442 & 41-0 v Leics 275

Sussex extend their lead to over 200, thanks to a solid start by openers Tom Haines and Oli Carter at Hove.

Carter, who just missed out on a century in the first innings, hit back to back fours in Josh Hull's latest over and is 24 not out, with Tom Haines on 17.

  2. 50 partnershippublished at 18:21 British Summer Time 24 June

    Notts 360 v Somerset 276-4

Tom Abell takes a four off Olly Stone's first over with the new ball to move on to 99.

Dillon Pennington beats James Rew's outside edge with the second ball of his returning over.

The paceman overpitches with his fourth ball and Rew climbs into it, slamming his third boundary to bring up the 50 partnership from just 71 balls.

  3. Close of play at Canterburypublished at 18:19 British Summer Time 24 June

    Kent 244 v Lancs 402-4

Joey Evison will bowl the last over of Day Two and starts with a leg side ball pulled square for one by Josh Bohannon.

The second ball is tapped to backward point by Matty Hurst for two and that's the Lancashire 400 in the 110th over - and of course a fourth batting point.

Hurst gets one more glanced to fine leg and Bohannon sees out the day with a block into cover.

A near perfect day for Lancashire and for Bohannon, who leaves the field on 182 not out with Hurst on 16.

Kent briefly threatened to rally, with George Bell and George Lavelle falling in quick succession after the second new ball was taken but Lancashire have dominated either side of that passage of play and lead by 158.

Quite a match at Loughborough today.

Somerset's Archie Vaughan, son of Michael scored 85, for a Young Lions invitational XI.

But their score of 288 all out was overhauled by England Under-19s, for whom 16-year-old Rocky Flintoff, son of Andrew, hit 106 off 111 balls as they won by two wickets.

Wonder how long it will be before we see those two in action in the County Championship.

  5. new ball

New ballpublished at 18:14 British Summer Time 24 June

    Notts 360 v Somerset 265-4

It's been a superb second spell from Calvin Harrison with the old ball and gets a well deserved arm round the shoulder from Notts skipper Haseeb Hameed.

The spinner will get a breather now as Hameed takes the new ball.

Olly Stone to get first use.

  6. Postpublished at 18:14 British Summer Time 24 June

    Kent 244 v Lancs 398-4

Josh Bohannon moves to 181, riding the bounce generated by Jas Singh and tucking the ball off his hip through the on side for four.

He leaves a leg side fifth ball and misses a pull off the last ball, which runs away for a bye.

    One over left tonight.

  7. Postpublished at 18:12 British Summer Time 24 June

    Worcs 136=-7 v Surrey 490

    Yes - no - yes.

Confusion between the Worcestershire batsmen and a chance of a run out, but it's wayward and yields up two overthrows to the total.

Jake Libby is 59 not out and Ben Allison has 11.

  8. Postpublished at 18:11 British Summer Time 24 June

    Warwks 254 v Hants 298 & 73-1

Too much width from Will Rhodes and Nick Gubbins stretches to push the ball through cover for two.

Eight overs remain after this one and it appears Warwickshire are on the defensive at this point in the game.

Another wide ball is tapped off the toe end of the bat by Gubbins for now run.

  9. Postpublished at 18:10 British Summer Time 24 June

    Worcs 134-7 v Surrey 490

Gus Atkinson is giving Ben Allison a taste of the short stuff now.

One just misses the top edge as he tries to pull, and the next sails harmlessly over his head.

Another five overs for Worcestershire to negotiate this evening.

  10. Postpublished at 18:08 British Summer Time 24 June

    Notts 360 v Somerset 263-4

A lovely straight drive off Olly Stone takes Tom Abell into the 90s.

He finishes the over with a single to move to 94.

    The deficit dips below 100.

  11. 'You never know what can happen with the new ball'published at 18:07 British Summer Time 24 June

    Notts 360 v Somerset 258-4

    Anthony Gibson
    BBC Radio Somerset

Somerset will have to bat fairly badly from now not to achieve parity although one never knows with the new ball and combination of Olly Stone and Dillon Pennington.

  12. Postpublished at 18:07 British Summer Time 24 June

    Glamorgan 385-8 v Northants 279

One would assume Northants will not be batting tonight - unless they can nip out the last two wickets in tow overs.

Jamie Harris is beaten outside off stump by Raphael Weatherall, bowling with two slips.

Half centuries from Marnus Labuschagne (93), Kiran Carlson (71) and Chris Cooke (58) has been the bedrock of a very good innings for the hosts, who push the lead past 100 with a hooked six by Harris off a top edge.

106 ahead. Three overs left tonight.

  13. wicket

WICKET Webster b Revis 0published at 18:06 British Summer Time 24 June

    Yorks 456 v Gloucs 158-6

Yorkshire want that first Championship win of the season and they are definitely in a position of strength in this game.

Beau Webster is gone first ball after playing on to Matthew Revis, who had Oliver Price caught behind for 47 in his previous over.

Revis has 3-19 as Ed Middleton joins Graeme van Buuren.

  14. Postpublished at 18:04 British Summer Time 24 June

    Notts 360 v Somerset 258-4

An attacking field for Calvin Harrison as a short leg, slip and leg slip keep James Rew company.

The wicketkeeper batter takes no notice and guides a four to the unoccupied legside boundary and between the gap between the Fox Road and Larwood and Voce stands.

Olly Stone is back with just two overs left before the new ball is due. Loosening up for new cherry perhaps.

  15. Postpublished at 18:01 British Summer Time 24 June

    Kent 244 v Lancs 386-4

Matty Hurst plays Joey Evison defensively into the off side.

Tidy over from Evison, conceding just a couple of runs.

    Four overs left tonight.

  16. 250 up for Somersetpublished at 18:00 British Summer Time 24 June

    Notts 360 v Somerset 253-4

Tom Abell is looking a little fatigued out there, and you could understand why - it's seriously humid in Nottingham.

This time Abell is late on a slower ball from Dane Paterson and almost gets an edge through to Tom Moores. More strangled cries.

A James Rew boundary then brings up the first batting point for the visitors in the 77th over.

  17. 50 runs

50 for Jake Libbypublished at 17:59 British Summer Time 24 June

    Worcs 126-7 v Surrey 490

    Jake LibbyImage source, Rex Features

He has been the glue which has held this innings together (choose whichever brand you prefer) and Jake Libby reached 50 off 145 balls with a single off the final ball of Gus Atkinson's latest over.

It's a tough match to be acting Worcestershire captain but Libby is certainly doing his bit to prevent a total collapse.

  18. 50 runs

50 for Fletcha Middletonpublished at 17:58 British Summer Time 24 June

    Warwks 254 v Hants 298 & 65-1

That's his fourth score of 50 or more this summer with a best effort of 116 against the same opposition at Southampton back in April.

He's back and across to Will Rhodes, flaying a wide ball through point for his eighth four.

His half century comes in 60 balls and is putting Hampshire in a great position to set a tough target.

The lead is 109 with nine wickets standing.

  19. wicket

WICKET Cooke c Vasconcelos b Weatherall 58published at 17:57 British Summer Time 24 June

    Glamorgan 374-8 v Northants 279

Chris Cooke drives without moving his feet and Ricardo Vasconcelos takes the catch at first slip to send him on his way.

It's the second wicket of the innings for 19-year-old Raphy Weatherall, but Glamorgan are 95 ahead.

  20. Postpublished at 17:55 British Summer Time 24 June

    Worcs 123-7 v Surrey 490

Worcestershire have stemmed the fall of wickets, at least for a while.

Sean Abbott directs one at Ben Alisson's body and the on-loan all-rounder pulls it away for four behind square.

He is 11 not out and Jake Libby has 47.
