  1. Eng 50-0published at 7 overs

The Oval is filling up nicely, the outfield half shaded, half baked in sunshine.

A solid over from Arundhati Reddy, no boundaries conceded, as she is backed up with a brilliant piece of relay fielding from Jemimah Rodrigues and Amanjot Kaur at long-on to prevent Dunkley from finding the ropes.

The improvement in India's fielding has been really noticeable in this series so far.

The green nature of this pitch may have been a directive from the English side to help negate the Indian spinners who have been so successful so far in the series.

England have lost 11 wickets to spin in the series so far for an average of just 16.

It’s early days, but so far we have seen just 0.9° of spin from the surface - less than half of what has been seen previously.

When Sophia Dunkley's motoring she puts fear into bowlers. Deepti Sharma just got her length wrong there. I hope Danni is taking confidence from Sophia at the other end.

  4. Eng 44-0published at 6 overs

Sophia Dunkley continues to attack, helping herself to two more boundaries off Deepti Sharma as England conclude a decent powerplay.

The first is whipped through mid-wicket, the second a little less convincing as it just flies over mid-off, much to Sharma's displeasure.

  5. Eng 34-0published at 5 overs

A productive over from England, showing signs of being a little more proactive against the spinners this evening.

    First six of the night!

Excellent footwork from Dunkley, charging down the pitch and clubbing it straight down the ground.

When Mark Robinson was in charge he made a massive point about playing against spin. We spent weeks in India, I came home and my wrists were aching from playing the sweep, the reverse sweep, they had about 25 spin bowlers lined up to bowl at you. It was great, that was just before a World Cup too.

Double change, double spin - and Sree Charani is greeted by a Sophia Dunkley slog sweep for four.

    Great shot.

I believe a lot of our players aren't great against spin on the back foot. Nat's good, then Amy Jones, but after that... even Heather Knight, if Heather was as good as Nat off the back foot she'd be an absolute beast of a batter.

  10. Eng 22-0published at 4 overs

Yep, here is Deepti Sharma - who dismissed Wyatt-Hodge at Trent Bridge and Bristol.

She gets away with one first ball, too - slicing the ball out to deep mid-wicket where it drops just short of the fielder, before attempting and missing a sweep to end the over.

Smart bowling change from India, just two from the over.

Sophia's absolutely been waiting for this, the length to hit down the ground.

  12. Eng 20-0published at 3 overs

Sophia Dunkley joins the party, clearing the front leg and whacking Amanjot Kaur down the ground for four more.

Something tells me we'll see India's spinners in the game pretty soon.

Due to her effectiveness hitting through the offside, inswing is often identified a weapon to keep Danni Wyatt-Hodge quiet at the top of the order.

In the powerplay, her strike-rate drops to just 98 against balls that swing into her.

It's a very big square boundary, I'd love to know the dimensions.

    Hello.

A very brave call from the batters to take on Jemimah Rodrigues' arm from the boundary and come back for two.

It's a great throw - has Danni Wyatt-Hodge made it back safely?

India have started with seamers at both ends, which will calm Sophia and Danni as they're itching for runs.

  18. Eng 12-0published at 2 overs

    Here she is.

Danni Wyatt-Hodge gets England's first boundary in some style, launching Arundhati Reddy for a one-bounce four over extra cover.

England have a great record when they choose to bat first after winning the toss. In their last five games, they have won four when electing to bat.

The last team to beat them in this scenario was India in Mumbai, 2023.

  20. Eng 4-0published at 1 over

A couple of singles to both batters from a steady first over on all fronts, with Wyatt-Hodge's second run taking her past her tally from her previous four England innings.
