    Alex Hartley
Former England bowler on BBC Test Match Special

It feels like a soft dismissal, especially with that lovely shot he had just played previously for four.

This time just flicking the ball to mid-wicket.

  2. 'Matt Taylor on a hat-trick!'published at 14:59 British Summer Time 14 September

    Adrian Harms
    BBC Sussex

Things are going from bad to worse for Sussex.

He played all around that first ball.

    Matt Taylor on a hat-trick!

    Gloucestershire v Sussex 27-4

Two in two balls for Matt Taylor!!!

Tom Alsop is beaten all ends up by a beauty from Taylor that nips in and crashes into the stumps.

    The Glosters are flying!

  4. wicket

    WICKET Coles c Bancroft b M Taylor 12published at 5.2 overs

    Gloucestershire v Sussex 27-3

Matt Taylor comes round the wicket to James Coles and the batter likes the angle as he hits through offside for four.

But not the next one as he tries to work it through legside and only picks out the man at short midwicket.

That feels like a bit of a gift for Gloucestershire.

    Chris Nash
Former Sussex bat on BBC Radio Sussex

This ball is going to scuff up really quickly with the abrasive nature of this ground.

Generally when the left-armer goes around the wicket it is probably trying to reverse the ball, so he goes around to the right-hander now.

  6. Postpublished at 5 overs

    Gloucestershire v Sussex 23-2

A change of ends for Josh Shaw. The ex-Yorkshire man bustles in as Sussex try to rebuild.

They cannot pierce the in-field and pick up only two singles. Tom Clark has just one from seven balls so far.

Gloucestershire will be happy with how they've started here.

  7. Postpublished at 4 overs

    Gloucestershire v Sussex 21-2

New batter James Coles gets a full toss straight away from Matt Taylor and he guides it low and straight past the field for four.

And from his third ball, he works it nicely behind square for a second boundary of the over.

  8. wicket

    WICKET Ward c Hammond b M Taylor 9published at 3.3 overs

    Gloucestershire v Sussex 13-2

    Both Sussex openers gone now!

Left-armer Matt Taylor strikes with his third ball. It's a low full toss but he won't care as Harrison Ward succeeds only in picking out the man at mid-on.

Sussex's explosive top-two have gone without doing much damage.

  9. 'Hughes goes huge'published at 14:50 British Summer Time 14 September

    Gloucestershire v Sussex 13-1

    Daniel Norcross
BBC Test Match Special commentator on BBC Sounds

Hughes goes - huge wicket. Daniel Hughes has scored a mountain of runs in this year's Blast.

It crashed back onto the stumps.

  10. Postpublished at 3 overs

    Gloucestershire v Sussex 13-1

    Super over from David Payne.

The huge wicket of Daniel Hughes and only two runs conceded.

    A huge performer for Gloucestershire.

The leading wicket-taker dismisses the leading run scorer!

David Payne gets his line right this time, outside off, and Daniel Hughes hears that horrible sound of ball on wood as he plays on.

    A 30th T20 wicket this summer for the 33-year-old.

  12. Postpublished at 2.2 overs

    Gloucestershire v Sussex 11-0

A second over for David Payne.

He is a little off with his line as he is legside to both Harrison Ward and Daniel Hughes, but without too much damage.

  13. An extra spinner for the final?published at 14:45 British Summer Time 14 September

    Harry Everett
    BBC Sport from Edgbaston

Time to rest now for Somerset following their superb win over Surrey in the first semi-final.

Conditions are likely to be very different for the final and seam bowler Josh Davey said: "We definitely felt that pace off worked well for us, so employed that tactic.

"But we will have to reassess once the lights take effect."

  14. Postpublished at 2 overs

    Gloucestershire v Sussex 11-0

Josh Shaw to open against Daniel Hughes, the leading run scorer in this year's T20 Blast.

The New South Wales batter has been prolific for Sussex and he nudges one off his legs to get off the mark.

Harrison Ward is a bit like a baseball slugger in trying to hit Shaw, but when he strokes one, he lofts it over the mid-off for his second four.

  15. 'Right-arm over v left-hander'published at 14:42 British Summer Time 14 September

    Gloucestershire v Sussex 4-0

    Ed Seabourne
    BBC Radio Bristol

I think this is why they have given Josh Shaw the second over.

Right-arm over the wicket, swinging it into the left-handed Harrison Ward.

David Payne took 4-23 here only eight days ago as Gloucestershire beat Birmingham Bears and it's easy to see why.

A lot of trouble for Harrison Ward as he misses a couple, but he swats the last ball away for a boundary to get the scoreboard ticking.

Sussex opener Harrison Ward is taking guard. David Payne has the ball in his hand.

Left-handed batter v left-arm over bowler. Love it!

And a beauty to start with as Payne shapes one away from Ward.

  20. Start delayedpublished at 14:33 British Summer Time 14 September

    Gloucestershire v Sussex (14:35 BST)

In case any of you were wondering, there is a five-minute delay to the start of this second semi-final due to the first one running a little over schedule.

    The start time is 14:35.
