    USA captain Aaron Jones: "Tough night for the boys. Against West Indies we probably wanted a score of around 175 or 180 and obviously we didn't get that.

    "That's how it goes sometimes."

    On the batting innings: "In the middle we lost wickets in clusters. I don't think we ever truly recovered from that. It was bad in the middle.

    "We'll go back to the drawing board and come back hard against England on Sunday."

    On USA's bowling: "We tried to take a few quick wickets in the powerplay but you know West Indies have got a powerful batting line-up.

    "We gave it our all but we weren't at our best tonight."

    On the England match: "It is going to be a good game. They'll bring a good challenge but we're up for it. We'll go home and get some rest and be ready for Sunday."

    An emphatic display. It was a scintillating hitting display from Shai Hope. The Greenidge-Haynes stand has taken a beating from the sixes Hope directed down there.

    West Indies hit 11 sixes, eight of them coming from Shai Hope.
