  2. WI 22-0published at 2.3 overs

This is what we thought might happen - the West Indies trying to boost that net run-rate. This is their opportunity to get themselves back into this group.

  4. WI 18-0published at 2.1 overs

    Target 129

A gorgeous shot from Shai Hope at the start of the third over finds another boundary.

Driven straight over Netravalkar's head, it raced towards the rope for four.

  5. WI 14-0published at 2 overs

    Target 129

Helped by that six, 10 runs come from the over in total.

Time is very much on the West Indies' side, but for net run-rate, they will want this over quickly.

  6. 6 runs

    WI 11-0published at 1.4 overs

    Target 129

Shai Hope goes big and hits the first six of this innings off Nosthush Kenjige.

A shorter ball from Kenjige is dispatched well into the stands over the boundary at long-on.

    Brutal.

It's a huge opportunity for West Indies to go out there and win it quickly. If USA have done their homework, they'll put a spinner on against Johnson Charles, who struggles against spin early on.

  8. WI 3-0published at 1 over

    Target 129

I wonder how many emails Saurabh Netravalkar will have waiting for him when his T20 World Cup campaign comes to an end?

He concedes just three singles off the first over.

I read earlier that Netravalkar has his out of office on at work, and it says he'll be back on 17 June.

  10. WI 1-0published at 0.3 overs

    Target 129

It takes three balls, but West Indies are on the board with a leg bye.

Netravalkar gets some swing on his third delivery that hits Hope on the pads, but it is going down leg and a single is taken.

Let's get this chase under way.

Saurabh Netravalkar will open the bowling against Shai Hope.

  12. A test for net run ratepublished at 03:21 British Summer Time 22 June

The priority for West Indies is simply a victory in Barbados against co-hosts USA.

However, should they win this match inside 14.5 overs, their net run-rate will surpass that of group leaders South Africa.

The two meet in the final round of fixtures which could be a winner-goes-through affair.

Reaching the Super 8s is a great accomplishment and a good start for the fledgling US squad. Gotta start somewhere and this is better than anyone predicted before the tournament.

    Thanks, Sam.

The USA have had a brilliant run at this World Cup so far, but to stand any chance of extending their stay in this tournament, really, they are going to have to produce an excellent bowling display in Barbados.

Not long until West Indies begin their chase. They'll want to knock off these runs as quickly as possible for that potentially decisive net run-rate.

To take you through the second innings, it's over to Jonty Colman.

  16. 'Good to start with a positive note'published at 03:12 British Summer Time 22 June

West Indies all-rounder Andre Russell after taking 3-31: "It's been good. We know how important this game is. It's good to start the first 20 with a positive note.

"From the last game, we talked about a few things that went wrong and needed improving. We've definitely seen improvement.

"I spoke to the bowlers and said always bowl your best ball and I think we've seen that tonight. I'm confident in our batters."

  17. West Indies need 129 to winpublished at 03:11 British Summer Time 22 June
    Breaking

A superb effort from West Indies in the first half to knock over the USA fairly cheaply.

They'll be very confident of knocking off the runs on what seems like a pretty good batting surface.

That spell just after the powerplay looks very costly for the US now and they require something special to keep their semi-final hopes alive.

This is the first time USA have looked out of their depth. They've been totally overmatched tonight and they are sorely missing runs at the top of the order.

Netravalkar c Powell b Russell 0 (USA 128 all out)

Super catch from Rovman Powell to end the innings!

After playing and missing at the two balls previous, Saurabh Netravalkar connects with this one but can only send it towards long-on.

Powell comes running in and dives forward to take an excellent grab.

West Indies are in command at the halfway stage.

  20. USA 125-9published at 19 overs

One over to go. Andre Russell to bowl it. How many more can the USA get with just one wicket remaining?
