One the takeaways I have is Corey Anderson's performance in this tournament raises question marks over their selection policy. Why is Corey Anderson available for selection? Because he's not 2015 Corey Anderson. He's had a back replacement since then.

It wasn't a great delivery for a hat-trick ball, angled down the leg side.

  3. USA 91-6published at 14 overs

No hat-trick for Roston Chase - it was a pretty rotten hat-trick ball, really, quicker and heading down leg.

An excellent over all told, though, and West Indies are in complete control of this game.

It's a soft dismissal. A slower ball from Chase, well bowled. He's bowled beautifully tonight.

Driven straight to Johnson Charles, he takes an easy catch. Wickets are falling at the right time for the West Indies and we have a hat-trick ball.

Two in two for Roston Chase! He's on a hat-trick!

Harmeet Singh with a very soft dismissal. Just chipped into the off side and a simple catch for Johnson Charles.

There's a reason they haven't reviewed it. He went back in his crease and hit his pad straight in front of middle stump. You can't get more out than that. Great delivery from Roston Chase.

  7. wicket

    Anderson lbw b Chase 7 (USA 88-5)

Corey Anderson has struggled to get going and now he's on his way back to the pavilion.

Quicker ball from Roston Chase and Anderson is pinned in front as he tries to work to leg.

    USA in trouble.

It's a great shot, just opened the face of the bat and guided away. It was needed, it has been a long time since we had one.

  9. USA 88-4published at 13 overs

Obed McCoy was expensive in his first over but he comes back well in his second, starting with two dot balls.

The over ends with a boundary, though, guided through backward point by Milind Kumar and much-needed for the USA.

With seven overs remaining, they need to make their move soon if they want to get up to that 150 that Alex mentioned.

The West Indies have been really good in the last few overs after USA got off to a flyer and I thought they were going to set a really big score. They still can set something around 150 which would be competitive.

  11. USA 80-4published at 12 overs

West Indies are doing a great job of putting the squeeze on the USA batters.

There hasn't been a boundary since the eighth over and the majority of the crowd at the Kensington over are enjoying what they're seeing.

Aaron Jones and Steven Taylor almost tried too hard because of their Caribbean connection and it feels like the occasion got to them.

If USA can get 10 an over from here, they'd reach 169 which would be a competitive total. This partnership here is going to be key and the West Indies know that.

  14. USA 75-4published at 11 overs

Andre Russell returns and has to bowl an extended over after sending down a couple of wides.

Good cricket all round from the last ball with Milind Kumar clipping the ball out to the deep and sprinting through for two.

There was a direct hit from the deep but Corey Anderson had made his ground.

I genuinely don't understand the point of picking a limited squad if you're still allowed to change it during the Super 8s. Can you imagine the backlash if we suddenly called up Rashford and Grealish for the Euro semi-finals? Someone being injured is the risk you take, hence why your squad is more than 11.

    James

In case you missed it earlier, West Indies have replaced the injured Brandon King with Kyle Mayers, who was listed as a reserve pre-tournament.

I think this partnership need to stay out there for at least another four overs or so.

  17. USA 69-4published at 10 overs

Halfway through the innings and it is all going West Indies' way so far.

USA got themselves into a decent position by the end of the powerplay but have lost three wickets since and now face a battle to get up to a competitive total.

It's not a great shot from Aaron Jones. It's a great delivery. It hits him then goes into the stumps.

Jones loses his shape. That is a huge wicket, Jones had a brilliant game against Canada. That feels like a big moment in this game.

Bowled 'im! Roston Chase strikes first ball.

That's a big wicket. Aaron Jones goes for the slog-sweep, misses and the ball thuds into the timbers.

Bad news for USA and bad news for South Africa and England, too.

If it carries on like this, West Indies will have a chance to give their net run-rate a real boost.

Gudakesh Motie has bowled nicely here and has been mixing up his pace. Every single delivery has been different.
