  1. Lancashire following on at Old Traffordpublished at 14:17 British Summer Time 13 April

    Lancs 228 and 0-0 f/o v Northants 496

Here come Michael Jones and Lancashire captain Keaton Jennings to open the second innings.

Liam Guthrie will bowl to Jones.

57 overs left today and the deficit is 268.

  2. Booth having a blinderpublished at 14:16 British Summer Time 13 April

Durham 71-4 lead Warwickshire by 133. Booth 4-15.

    Martin Emmerson
    BBC Radio Newcastle

Zimbabwean Michael Booth is having an afternoon to remember. He took two wickets in two overs before lunch and two in the space of five balls after it, to leave him on a career-best 4-15.

In his fourth over he cleaned up Colin Ackermann with a yorker which removed two stumps. He was out for four. Three balls later the out of form Ollie Robinson edged to Rob Yates at second slip to depart for one.

Booth's first wicket today came from his fifth ball. By the time he'd bowled 3.5 overs he had 4-10.

It's doubtful the injured David Bedingham will be able to bat so Durham are effectively five down. The ball is nipping about when the sun goes in and it's coldish. Booth is getting the best out of the conditions.

  3. 'They will look to play aggressively'published at 14:15 British Summer Time 13 April

    Sussex 294 & 366-4 (lead by 459)

    Adrian Harms
    BBC Sussex

No great urgency between overs at the moment.

The bumper crowd are waiting for this one to spring into action.

If Sussex can pick the gaps, there are singles all over the place, they will look to play a bit more aggressively before long.

  4. 150 runs

    Surrey 253 & 242-2 v Hants 219

Dom Sibley glances the ball round the corner and that's his second century of the match!

  5. Declaration at Headingleypublished at 14:10 British Summer Time 13 April

Yorkshire 315-4d, leading Worcs by 609

Jonny Bairstow rattles 44 from 26 balls and Dawid Malan has 76 from 64 but the Tykes skipper has had enough, as have the Pears bowlers and fielders, if we're honest.

Worcestershire need 610 to win... or to survive nearly five full sessions for a draw.

They batted out 200 overs at Taunton last week. This is a very different prospect however...

  6. Lancashire all out for 228published at 14:06 British Summer Time 13 April

    Lancs 228 v Northants 496

Tom Bailey has been caught at long leg by George Bartlett off Justin Broad for eight and Lancashire concede a first innings lead of 268.

No need for the new ball as it turned out.

JB finishes with 3-58 and Calvin Harrison has 4-34, having dismissed Tom Hatley the over before.

  7. 50 runs

50 for Jamie Smithpublished at 14:03 British Summer Time 13 April

  8. Bright start by hosts after lunchpublished at 12 overs

    Notts 347 & 45-0 (lead by 25 runs) v Essex 367

Haseeb Hameed battingImage source, Rex Features

The two Notts openers have made an energised start to the afternoon session with Haseeb Hameed tucking nicely into Jamie Porter with two crisp boundaries.

Now Ben Slater has followed suit despatching Sam Cook for two in the next over as well as the first single of his innings as Notts have rattled along, putting on 31 in no time at all.

  9. 'It's comfortable for Yorkshire'published at 14:02 British Summer Time 13 April

    Yorkshire 458 & 252-4 (lead by 552)

    David Lloyd
Former England batsman on BBC Radio Leeds

When you're out in the field for so long, there's a mental aspect to it.

Lots of singles, it's comfortable for them, but you have to make it uncomfortable.

  10. wicket

WICKETpublished at 14:02 British Summer Time 13 April

    Robinson c Yates b Booth 1 (Durham 64-4, leading Warwickshire by 126)

Michael Booth has two in the over and 4-10 in four overs. What an impact.

Ollie Robinson departs for one, edging to Rob Yates in the slips.

Will Rhodes comes in against his former team at number six. Still no David Bedingham with a bad toe.

  11. wicket

WICKETpublished at 14:02 British Summer Time 13 April

    Hartley c Bartlett b Harrison 8 (Lancs 228-9 v Northants 496)

A tad short from Calvin Harrison and Tom Hartley pulls a catch to George Bartlett at long leg.

    The innings is fading fast.

  12. Postpublished at 13:58 British Summer Time 13 April

    Surrey 253 & 236-2 v Hants 219

Dom Sibley advances to 97 with a front-footed drive through cover for four off Liam Dawson. Twin centuries in the match are a hit away.

  13. wicket

WICKETpublished at 13:57 British Summer Time 13 April

Ackermann b Booth 4 (Durham 62-3, leading Warwickshire by 124)

Michael Booth has another, and the Bears are bang in this...

Colin Ackermann plays across the line off-balance and has his stumps splattered.

    Booth has 3-8.

    Ollie Robinson joins Ben McKinney.

  14. dropped catch

Tom Hartley dropped on sixpublished at 13:56 British Summer Time 13 April

    Lancs 224-8 v Northants 496

Good flight and full on off stump from leg spinner Calvin Harrison as Tom Hartley defends into the off side.

New ball is available now. Not taken just yet.

Justin Broad bowls to Tom Bailey who gets a single through mid wicket.

Tom Hartley gloves a pull shot and Lewis McManus misses a very tough chance jumping at full stretch.

  15. Division Two updatepublished at 13:55 British Summer Time 13 April

Toby Roland-Jones covers his faceImage source, Rex Features

Whisper it, but Zak Crawley has made a good start as Kent chase 316 to beat Middlesex at Canterbury.

He's hit three fours and a six to move to 18* with Ben Compton on two at the other end.

It wouldn't be Crawley without some drama, however, he's also been dropped at slip off the disgusted Toby Roland-Jones.

  16. Postpublished at 13:53 British Summer Time 13 April

    Surrey 253 & 230-2 v Hants 219

Frustration for Liam Dawson and Hampshire as Dom Sibley glances a ball off a thick inside edge past leg stump and keeper for four.

    He's on 93.

  17. Postpublished at 13:51 British Summer Time 13 April

    Lancs 222-8 v Northants 496

A couple of runs from the Justin Broad over.

Calvin Harrison will bowl next and this might be his last over for a while given the new ball is available in a couple of overs. Maiden over.

JB is into his 18th over now. He bowls round the wicket and Tom Hartley misses with an attempted pull shot.

Good take by keeper Lewis McManus on the leg side.

Hartley gets three with a clip to leg. 79 overs bowled in the innings.

  18. Back underway at Hovepublished at 102 overs

    Sussex 294 & 342-4 (lead by 435 runs) v Somerset 201

Jack Leach trundles through the first over after the lunch break and it has cost Somerset eight runs. Archie Vaughan to bowl the second as Somerset start with a spin tandem.

  19. Postpublished at 13:47 British Summer Time 13 April

    Surrey 253 & 225-2 v Hants 219

Just the single off the Liam Dawson over.

Kyle Abbott will bowl from the Pavilion End.

He gets one to nip back and hit Dom Sibley on the pad as the opener moves forward to block. Movement and low bounce.

The fourth ball is edged on another forward defensive and the ball drops just short of Hampshire's keeper-captain Ben Brown!

    That bounced well short.

  20. Back underway at Trent Bridgepublished at 8 overs

    Notts 347 & 14-0 v Essex 367

Sam Cook has just finished the first over after lunch and Ben Slater decorated it by carving a nice boundary, again through the cover region to get Notts going again.
