  2. HAMPSHIRE NEED 377 TO BEAT SURREYpublished at 17:41 British Summer Time 13 April

    Surrey 342-9d - lead Hampshire by 376

Ryan Patel and Kemar Roach race off as Surrey declare on 342.

Hampshire will need something special to chase this down given Surrey's attack, and will have an awkward 20-odd overs to face tonight.

  3. Postpublished at 17:39 British Summer Time 13 April

    Lancs 228 and 118-1 f/o v Northants 496

Lancashire pass 100 in the 45th over and there's a single apiece for Josh Bohannon and Keaton Jennings off the bowling of Saif Zaib.

Calvin Harrison is back on, bowling from the Statham End for the first time.

Lancashire skipper Keaton Jennings is back and across to punch the ball away for three.

Josh Bohannon defends down the pitch.

There's certainly some turn here as Harrison gets a ball to fizz past off stump and that's a smart take by keeper Lewis McManus.

  4. wicket

WICKETpublished at 17:38 British Summer Time 13 April

    Bedingham c Mousley b Bamber 45 (Durham 213-7, leading Warwickshire by 275)

A much-needed scalp for the visitors as David Bedingham, batting on one foot remember, departs for 45, caught by Dan Mousley off Ethan Bamber.

The lead is edging towards 300 but just three wickets remain. Ben Raine is into the 70s at the other end.

  5. wicket

    WICKETpublished at 19.6 overs

    Banton b Hunt 0 (Somerset 201 & 80-4, target 595)

And another... and it is a beauty.

It is a double wicket maiden for Hunt. Five balls after an ahtletic grab off his own bowling which belied his big frame, it was back to the day job with a superb delivery.

That one was angled across the new batsman but straightened perfectly off the seam and through the defences of Banton, flattening the timber behind him.

Hunt now has all four of the wickets to fall with 4-14 and nine in the match.

  6. Five-wicket haul for Sonny Bakerpublished at 17:32 British Summer Time 13 April

Worrall c Brown b Baker (Surrey 338-9, leading Hampshire by 372)

Sonny Baker celebratesImage source, Rex Features

Sonny Baker is on a hat-trick...

He's ousted Dan Lawrence, Jordan Clark, Matthew Fisher and now Dan Worrall nicks behind to Ben Brown to follow them back to the pavilion and Hampshire are making a fight of this.

4-10 in 11 balls from Baker...

BUT NO HAT-TRICK, Kemar Roach defends the ball back to the bowler.

  7. Postpublished at 17:32 British Summer Time 13 April

    Kent 238-2 - target 316

Short ball tactics from Blake Cullen, who gets one ball to rear up and strike Ben Compton on the grill but the opener survives the over.

Just a single from Zafar Gohar's latest over but Middlesex need wickets.

  8. wicket

    WICKETpublished at 19.1 overs

    Lammonby c&b Hunt 33 (Somerset 201 & 80-3, target 595)

What a great grab by the big man.

First ball back in his second spell and the Sussex bowler continues to have a dream game, this time taking a one-handed catch off his own bowling low to his right in his follow through.

Toms Lammonby and Abell were going okay having put on 63 for the third wicket but the former has just caught a leading edge trying to push the ball back up the pitch.

  9. Postpublished at 17:29 British Summer Time 13 April

    Lancs 228 and 97-1 f/o v Northants 496

Justin Broad is back in the attack and Josh Bohannon greets the bowler with a cut to point for two.

Pigeons on the outfield at Trent Bridge

Haseeb Hameed and Jack Haynes have stretched Notts lead out to 178 and brought up their half century for the third wicket.

We had a sticky patch where the runs were drying up into singles, the opener has got it going again.

Two fours off the bowling of Matt Critchley in the 61st over has loosened the shackles and moved him quickly through the 70s to 78.

Jack Haynes, who has done the bulk of the hod carrying in this partnership until Hameed got going is on 31.

  11. Postpublished at 17:25 British Summer Time 13 April

    Kent 237-2 - target 316

Ben Compton and Tawanda Muyeye are both in the 80s, within 100 runs of the target and left arm spinner Zafar Gohar is back on to bowl.

Ben Compton is back and across to defend.

He'll get one flicked to square leg.

A scary moment for Kent as Muyeye pushes through the off side and is halfway down the track before Compton sends him back.

    He beats the return throw.

  12. YORKSHIRE BEAT WORCESTERSHIRE BY 504 RUNSpublished at 17:22 British Summer Time 13 April

Worcestershire 105, needing 610 to beat Yorkshire

Yorkshire's record victory on runs - by well over 100.

Worcestershire's record defeat on runs - by well over 100.

An absolute obliteration by the Tykes.

There were untiol highlights as Yorkshire amassed 771-14 across their two innings but Dom Bess, the second innings nightwatcher, was the only man into three figures, posting a career joint best 107, his first county hundred.

The Tykes set a nominal target of 610 for the Pears to win but the bowling was too good across days two and three, Ben Coad took 4-39 in the first innings and George Hill 4-23 in the second.

Jonny Bairstow's decision not to enforce the follow on yesterday is vindicated.

24 points for his side, three for Worcestershire.

  13. Postpublished at 17:21 British Summer Time 13 April

    Kent 236-2 - target 316

Blake Cullen is in the Middlesex attack and his second delivery is leg side and hooked fine by Tawanda Muyeye for four.

Four more runs crunched through cover on the front foot.

    Too full a length there.

The last ball is pulled square for two and Kent are hitting top gear.

  14. 50 runs

50 for Josh Bohannonpublished at 17:19 British Summer Time 13 April

    Lancs 228 and 90-1 f/o v Northants 496

Two runs to josh Bohannon flicking Calving Harrison behind square leg and he has 46.

A single pushed into the off side and now he'll face Luke Procter.

Driven through cover for four and there's a valuable rearguard 50 off 146 balls.

His first 50 of the season.

  15. wicket

WICKETpublished at 17:16 British Summer Time 13 April

Allison b Hill 0 (Worcs 91-9, needing 610 to beat Yorkshire)

    Not long now...

Ben Allison plays inside the line and George Hill's delivery sends his off stump cartwheeling.

  16. Postpublished at 16 overs

    Somerset 201 & 65-2 (target 595) v Sussex 294 & 501-7d

Tom Abell and Tom Lammonby have steadied the ship a little pushing out the third wicket partnership to 48.

The former was a little fortunate perhaps to survive an lbw shout in the previous over after he was trapped more or less in front by Fynn Hudson-Prentice.

The run rate required to chase down this notional target of of 595 is 4.65 and the run rate at the moment is 4.00 so Somerset are seemingly not going to go down wondering.

After this one there are 18 overs remaining in the day which could push them up to the 130 mark, around 465 behind which speaks volumes for the task ahead.

  17. wicket

WICKETpublished at 17:13 British Summer Time 13 April

    Taylor c Hill b Thompson 1 (91-8, needing 610 to beat Yorkshire.

Pear crumble... a Sunday afternoon treat, if you're a Yorkshire fan at least.

Jordan Thompson finds the edge of Tom Taylor's bat and George Hill takes the simple catch at first slip.

    Start the car, Ethel...

  18. Postpublished at 17:12 British Summer Time 13 April

    Kent 225-2 - target 316

Ben Compton advances to 81 with a front-footed cover drive for four off the bowling of Middlesex skipper Toby Roland-Jones.

Henry Brookes took some tap in his last over but he will continue at the other end.

He bowls a leg stump half volley fifth ball and Tawanda Muyeye lifts it over square leg for six.

  19. Postpublished at 17:10 British Summer Time 13 April

    Lancs 228 and 75-1 f/o v Northants 496

There's a bit of drizzle in the air but also some rays of sunshine here at Old Trafford.

A bit of width from Luke Procter outside off and a flashing drive from Keaton Jennings doesn't quite pierce the field.

  20. 6 runs

Six and 200 up for Kentpublished at 17:08 British Summer Time 13 April

    Kent 209-2 - target 316

A bit of room on a length outside off and Tawanda Muyeye swings his arms through the line of the ball for a maximum over wide long off.

The Kent 200 arrives in the 46th over.

Muyeye gets a four clipped through square leg on the front foot next ball.

A four through cover on the front foot from Ben Compton earlier in that over as well.
