    Welcome back to sunny Canterbury.

  2. Postpublished at 16:31 British Summer Time 13 April

    Lancs 228 and 65-1 f/o v Northants 496

Keaton Jennings drives Calvin Harrison through the off side for one to move to 25.

Josh Bohannon sweeps to deep backward square for four.

Steady progress for the Red Rose, who need to bat for as long as possible.

  3. 'It's been Kent's session'published at 16:31 British Summer Time 13 April

    Kent 164-2 - target 316

    Dan Whiting
    BBC Radio Kent commentator

Middlesex are crying out for a wicket, they desperately need to find one.

That has undoubtedly been Kent's session. I don't think it could have gone much better for them.

Ben Compton is going to have to play a huge part if they're to find victory.

  4. wicket

WICKETpublished at 16:29 British Summer Time 13 April

Hose b White 5 (Worcs 77-4 needing 610 to beat Yorkshire)

Oh no. Adam Hose shoulders arms but hears the noise behind him of his off stump being obliterated by Jack White.

31 overs to go. You know Jonny Bairstow wants a bonus day on the golf course tomorrow.

  5. News at the Ovalpublished at 16:27 British Summer Time 13 April

    Surrey 253 and 282-4 v Hants 219

If conditions allow, we're back on at 16:30 BST.

  6. Postpublished at 16:26 British Summer Time 13 April

    Lancs 228 and 58-1 f/o v Northants 496

Lancashire have passed 50 for the loss of one wicket with Josh Bohannon and Keaton Jennings looking fairly comfortable in spite of the scoreboard pressure.

Josh Bohannon misses a sweep off Calvin Harrison and the LBW shout is turned down.

A leg side glance by Jennings off Liam Guthrie brings a single.

Two more to Bohannon, pushing a leg stump half volley.

  7. Postpublished at 16:25 British Summer Time 13 April

Worcestershire 73-3, needing 610 to beat Yorkshire

Adam Lyth is turning it sideways at Headingley, thumping Adam Hose on the pads but seeing his appeal turned down. Probably turned too much, to be honest...

Jack White has the ball in hand at the other end with some high clouds gathering over Headingley.

Touch session coming up for the Pears.

  8. wicket

    WICKETpublished at 43.2 overs

    Clarke c Pepper b Porter 19 (Notts 347 & 144-2, lead by 124 runs)

    Straight after tea, Porter strikes.

Switched to the Stuart Broad End, Porter produced two good balls and the second of them has just seamed off the pitch and left Clarke, whose tentative defensive prod is edged behind.

No dispute from the batsman who sportingly walks without waiting for the umpire's finger to send him on his way.

  9. wicket

    WICKETpublished at 1.3 overs

    Dickson c Haines b Hunt 0 (Somerset 201 & 4-1, trail by 590 runs)

Sean Hunt celebratesImage source, Rex Features

The worst possible start for Somerset as Sean Dickson wafts outside off stump and gets a thick edge which flies to Tom Haines at fourth slip.

It is a first wicket of the second innings for Sean Hunt and a sixth in the match following his 5-48 in the first.

And it is not the greatest start for Dickson who went for 11 against Worcs in round one and 8 and 0 in this match.

  10. Tea at Canterburypublished at 16:17 British Summer Time 13 April

    Kent 164-2 - target 316

Ben Compton battingImage source, Rex Features

Kent have the better of the session in spite of a double strike from spinner Zafar Gohar to remove the dangerous Zak Crawley and Kent captain Daniel Bell-Drummond with successive deliveries.

152 needed from here with four sessions of play remaining.

Ben Compton is 59 not out.

  11. Postpublished at 16:13 British Summer Time 13 April

    Lancs 228 and 46-1 f/o v Northants 496

Accurate and good flight from Calvin Harrison but there is not much grip and turn here.

Liam Guthrie will bowl the next over.

Bohannon ducks under a bouncer and that ball dies on Lewis McManus behind the stumps.

    Maiden over.

  12. Tea at CLSpublished at 16:11 British Summer Time 13 April

Ben Raine (44*) and David Bedingham (25*) are guiding the hosts away from troubled waters.

    Kent 154-2 - target 316

Short and wide from Ryan Higgins and Ben Compton is back to cut through point for four.

Quite suddenly the unbearable (Kentish) tension that followed a double strike from Zafar Gohar has given way to free flowing, jubilant runs.

  16. 6 runs

Muyeye tees offpublished at 16:04 British Summer Time 13 April

    Kent 150-2 - target 316

Whoa! Zafar Gohar drops short and Tawanda Muyeye rocks back to smack a six over mid wicket.

    That's the Kent 150 in 34.4 overs.

An appeal for caught behind next ball is turned down as he misses a loose drive.

  17. 50 runs

50 for Ben Comptonpublished at 16:02 British Summer Time 13 April

    Kent 141-2 - target 316

For the dart fans among you - Kent need three treble 20s from here.

Ryan Higgins bowls short to Ben Compton.

Pulled away for four with one hand coming off the bat and that's a 50 from 94 balls with eight fours.

His first half century of the season and his 25th in all first class cricket.

The 50 partnership with Tawanda Muyeye comes next ball off 77 balls.

  18. Tea at Trent Bridgepublished at 42 overs

    Notts 347 & 142-2 (lead by 122 runs) v Essex 367

Notts have had the best part of the afternoon session with Haseeb Hameed steering the climb to 122 runs in front.

Ben Slater looks bang on song before his dismissal but Joe Clarke has started to operate in the same vein and has warmed up with a six off Matt Critchley.

It may be that there is not enough time in this game for Notts to get a big enough lead and then bowl Essex out or vice versa but you never know.

All three results remain in reach.

  19. wicket

WICKET (and tea at Headingley)published at 16:00 British Summer Time 13 April

Brookes b Lyth 19 (Worcestershire 72-3, needing 610 to beat Yorkshire)

    Stumps everywhere.

Adam Lyth is tossed the ball for the final over before tea and loops in an offy which gets through the gate with a mile of turn and hits middle and leg.

Beautiful ball and three down at the break. Could this be done tonight?

  20. Durham hanging in there against Warwickshirepublished at 15:54 British Summer Time 13 April

    Durham 152-6 lead by 203

    Martin Emmerson
    BBC Radio Newcastle

It's been hard going for Durham this afternoon, but that 62-run lead from the first innings could yet prove crucial.

They were 125-6 when the injured David Bedingham hobbled out of the pavilion with runner Colin Ackermann to try and help stage a rearguard fightback.

He replaced Ben McKinney who edges a low ball from Ed Barnard to the keeper on 33. Since then Bedingham has reached 15 and Ben Raine now has 39 and they have taken the lead past the psychological 200 mark.

Michael Booth did the damage earlier, taking four wickets for 10 runs in four overs.

We now have five overs to go to tea.
