Notts 88-6 - target 136 to beat Worcs

    Dave Bracegirdle
    BBC Radio Nottingham commentator

The likelihood is that it's not going to get any easier for Nottinghamshire. We're a few minutes away from lunch so all these bowlers can recharge and refresh.

It's been a really tricky morning for Notts.

Notts 88-6 - target 136 to beat Worcs

Worcestershire have perhaps three overs left before lunch.

Lyndon James is forward, compact and defending.

An expansive drive is miscued into the off side for no run.

Taylor pushes the ball out wider and James shoulders arms.

Closer! Genuine play and miss trying to block on the front foot.

Maiden over. Taylor's fourth of the innings.

  3. Lunch at Tauntonpublished at 12:22 BST

    Somerset 441-6 dec v Yorkshire 60-6

The umpires have ordered lunch to be taken 10 minutes early because of the latest rain shower.

It has been a tough morning for Yorkshire who have lost six wickets in adding 43 to their overnight 17-0.

Adam Lyth has batted through to reach 18 not out from 56 balls but the Somerset seamers have enjoyed the conditions, with two wickets each for Josh Davey and Lewis Gregory.

    WICKETpublished at 12:19 BST

    Bedingham c Bracewell b Thain 16 - Essex 457-8dec v Durham 333 & 51-4

Really poor decision from a batter of David Bedingham's class in this context.

He'd hoiked Noah Thain over cow corner for six a couple of balls earlier and his eyes light up at another short ball, trying to hook away over backward square for another but top-edging to deep fine leg where Doug Bracewell waits an age to take a catch.

Ollie Robinson joins Colin Ackermann with Durham 73 behind and four down.

  5. Postpublished at 0.2 overs

    Leics 5-0 - target 316

Ajeet Singh Dale has the new ball and following a single for Rishi Patel, Sol Budinger dries his second ball through mid-off for four.

Change of bowling. Khurram Shahzad is back on for a second spell of the day from the New Road End.

Lyndon James defends late and safely into the off side.

A tad of width and James pushes into point for a single.

Liam Patterson-White is late and wafting at the fifth ball from the crease but he hasn't touched it.

  7. 'They'll have to be a change in the slips'published at 12:16 BST

    Warwickshire 0-0 - target 390

    Mark Church
    BBC Radio London commentator

Three slips in there but they'll have to be a change because Dom Sibley is usually in that slip cordon.

So I think at the moment the slips are Ryan Patel, Ollie Pope and the captain Rory Burns.

  8. WARWICKSHIRE BEGIN CHASE OF 390published at 12:16 BST

    Warwickshire 0-0 - target 390.

Rob Yates comes forward to Dan Worrall who manages to fire the ball millimetres past the edge on its way through to Ben Foakes.

The kind of delivery which makes the blood run cold.

Maiden over for Worrall, with Gus Atkinson taking the fresh cherry at the other end.

This is by no means going to be an easy innings, given Surrey's array of quality seamers.

  9. rain stops play

Rain stops play at Tauntonpublished at 18.4 overs

    Somerset 441-6 dec v Yorkshire 60-6

The rain returns at Taunton and Yorkshire are probably pleased to see it. Adam Lyth is still there on 18 not out and Dom Bess has two.

  10. Postpublished at 12:15 BST

Notts 87-6 - target 136 to beat Worcs

Just under 20 minutes till lunch and remember, the forecast is expected to worsen from that point.

Notts started on 40-1 and have been pegged back by some very disciplined Pears bowling.

Liam Patterson-White drives Tom Taylor and is blocked at extra cover.

Taylor bowls a straighter ball and is blocked by LPW down the pitch.

    Maiden over.

  11. WARWICKSHIRE BEGIN CHASE OF 390published at 12:11 BST

    Warwickshire 0-0 - target 390.

    Now then.

The sun is out, the heavy roller has been on, Warwickshire have 76 overs to score at a hair over five an over to beat Surrey at The Oval and launch themselves into the title race.

Dan Worrall takes the opening over with Alex Davies and Rob Yates opening up.

  12. Postpublished at 12:11 BST

Notts 87-6 - target 136 to beat Worcs

Ben Allison is very leg side to Lyndon James but he cannot lay a bat on that.

A strangle down the leg side would be intolerable for Notts now.

James is struck on the pad but outside the off stump line.

    Maiden over.

  13. wicket

    WICKETpublished at 16.5 overs

Hill lbw Leach 4 (Somerset 441-6 dec v Yorks 57-6)

    Another one gone.

George Hill tries to defend in spinner Jack Leach's opening over, but plays down the wrong line and is gone.

  14. Postpublished at 12:10 BST

    Essex 457-8dec v Durham 333 & 45-3

Noah Thain has been leant on by Simon Harmer for a few overs at the other end from him to give Doug Bracewell and Jamie Porter a breather.

He's just had a big appeal turned down for lbw against David Bedingham, maybe a touch high on the pad, but very close.

The pressure is well and truly back on Durham under silvery skies at Chelmsford.

Thain has conceded two runs from his three overs.

  15. GLOUCESTERSHIRE DECLAREpublished at 27 overs

    Leics 342 v Glos 482 & 175-3 dec

Only one ball bowled following Miles Hammond's dismissal at Grace Road. James Bracey takes a single and Gloucestershire declare with a 315-run lead.

Remember, a draw might be enough to seal promotion for Leicestershire today - wonder if they'll make an effort to try and win the game, which certainly would.

  16. Lunch at Hovepublished at 12:08 BST

Sussex 37-1 - target 278 to beat Hants

No play this morning or indeed yesterday and we are now into the early interval.

It is not looking promising here but maybe we'll get lucky this afternoon.

  17. 'Pears bowlers have done the damage'published at 12:08 BST

Notts 87-6 - target 136 to beat Worcs

    Dave Bracegirdle
    BBC Radio Nottingham commentator

We've certainly got a game on our hands. The four bowlers from Worcestershire have done the damage.

  18. Postpublished at 12:07 BST

Notts 87-6 - target 136 to beat Worcs

Liam Patterson-White digs out another full ball on a tighter line. Over.

    Lyndon James will face next.

  19. Durham have their work cut out in Chelmsfordpublished at 12:07 BST

    Durham 45-3 v Essex

    Martin Emmerson
    BBC Radio Newcastle

I couldn't see any point in Essex continuing with their first innings today, given so much time was lost in this game to the weather yesterday.

However, the talk around the ground was about how they would bat on. Yet 15 minutes before the start of day four the declaration was announced, with the hosts 124 ahead at 457-8.

The bowling conditions were also good. It's cold, overcast and windy. Very autumnal.

It was a good decision because in no time they had both openers gone. Alex Lees fell for five and Emilio Gay for 13, both LBW to Jamie Porter in consecutive overs from The Gooch End.

Ben McKinney and David Bedingham restored a bit of calm before McKinney left a ball from Simon Harmer and was bowled on 11. Durham trail by 79 runs.

    WICKETpublished at 12:06 BST

    McKinney b Harmer 11 - Essex 457-8dec v Durham 333 & 45-3

    Oh dear Ben McKinney.

After a brilliant first innings century and 63 balls of defiance this morning he shoulders arms to one which straightens from Simon Harmer which sneaks past his knee and thuds off stump to send him on his way for 11.

Colin Ackermann joins David Bedingham who is 10* from 48 balls.

    Durham still trail by 79.
