    Essex 457-8dec v Durham 333 & 45-3

Noah Thain has been leant on by Simon Harmer for a few overs at the other end from him to give Doug Bracewell and Jamie Porter a breather.

He's just had a big appeal turned down for lbw against David Bedingham, maybe a touch high on the pad, but very close.

The pressure is well and truly back on Durham under silvery skies at Chelmsford.

Thain has conceded two runs from his three overs.

  2. GLOUCESTERSHIRE DECLAREpublished at 27 overs

    Leics 342 v Glos 482 & 175-3 dec

Only one ball bowled following Miles Hammond's dismissal at Grace Road. James Bracey takes a single and Gloucestershire declare with a 315-run lead.

Remember, a draw might be enough to seal promotion for Leicestershire today - wonder if they'll make an effort to try and win the game, which certainly would.

  3. Lunch at Hovepublished at 12:08 British Summer Time

Sussex 37-1 - target 278 to beat Hants

No play this morning or indeed yesterday and we are now into the early interval.

It is not looking promising here but maybe we'll get lucky this afternoon.

  4. 'Pears bowlers have done the damage'published at 12:08 British Summer Time

Notts 87-6 - target 136 to beat Worcs

    Dave Bracegirdle
    BBC Radio Nottingham commentator

We've certainly got a game on our hands. The four bowlers from Worcestershire have done the damage.

  5. Postpublished at 12:07 British Summer Time

Notts 87-6 - target 136 to beat Worcs

Liam Patterson-White digs out another full ball on a tighter line. Over.

    Lyndon James will face next.

  6. Durham have their work cut out in Chelmsfordpublished at 12:07 British Summer Time

    Durham 45-3 v Essex

    Martin Emmerson
    BBC Radio Newcastle

I couldn't see any point in Essex continuing with their first innings today, given so much time was lost in this game to the weather yesterday.

However, the talk around the ground was about how they would bat on. Yet 15 minutes before the start of day four the declaration was announced, with the hosts 124 ahead at 457-8.

The bowling conditions were also good. It's cold, overcast and windy. Very autumnal.

It was a good decision because in no time they had both openers gone. Alex Lees fell for five and Emilio Gay for 13, both LBW to Jamie Porter in consecutive overs from The Gooch End.

Ben McKinney and David Bedingham restored a bit of calm before McKinney left a ball from Simon Harmer and was bowled on 11. Durham trail by 79 runs.

    McKinney b Harmer 11 - Essex 457-8dec v Durham 333 & 45-3

    Oh dear Ben McKinney.

After a brilliant first innings century and 63 balls of defiance this morning he shoulders arms to one which straightens from Simon Harmer which sneaks past his knee and thuds off stump to send him on his way for 11.

Colin Ackermann joins David Bedingham who is 10* from 48 balls.

    Durham still trail by 79.

    Came b Stone 12 (Middx 298 v Derbys 283 & 87-4)

Olly Stone as his first Middlesex wicket as Harry Came dangles the bat and inside edges into the stumps. Derbyshire lead by 72.

  9. Postpublished at 12:05 British Summer Time

Notts 87-6 - target 136 to beat Worcs

53 needed. Tom Taylor is round the wicket to Liam Patterson-White.

    Immaculate forward defence.

Taylor changes his line slightly and LPW blocks into the on side.

Full! Driven through extra cover for four! The target dips under 50.

  10. Postpublished at 26.5 overs

    Hammond c and b Holland 28 (Leics 342 v Glos 482 & 174-3)

Gloucestershire's lead is now north of 300 and a wide from Ian Holland sees Joe Phillips and Miles Hammond reach a 50 partnership.

The next one is a full toss and Hammond hoists it down the ground for four - he is 28 not out.

It is his final scoring shot as he tries to swing the next one away, gets a top edge and Holland has time to position himself under it and completes a return catch.

  11. SURREY DECLARE LEADING BY 389published at 12:03 British Summer Time

    Surrey 246 & 391-8 v Warwickshire 248

115-6 in just over 19 overs this morning and that is enough for Rory Burns.

Dom Sibley remains unbeaten on 103* - coming back after retiring hurt to make a memorable century - with Matt Fisher on 7* at the end.

Warwickshire need 390 to win in 76 overs after the change of innings.

  12. Postpublished at 12:03 British Summer Time

Notts 83-6 - target 136 to beat Worcs

Lyndon James holds the key for Notts.

Ben Allison is wide of off peg and James leaves it alone.

The sun is just breaking through the thickening skies as the cathedral bells ring out for noon.

Watchful from James, who plays as straight and as late as he can.

    Maiden over.

  13. 'A great innings from Sibley'published at 12:02 British Summer Time

    Surrey 246 & 381-8 v Warwickshire 248

    Clive Eakin
    BBC CWR Sport

A terrific innings from Dom Sibley for his century. He came back in after retiring hurt overnight yesterday.

    A great innings.

  14. 100 runs

for Dom Sibleypublished at 12:01 British Summer Time

    Surrey 246 & 387-8 v Warwickshire 248

Rob Yates comes into the attack with his occasional spin and Matt Fisher clips him past the throng of people at square leg all the way to the rope.

Fisher clips a single off the next ball to bring Dom Sibley onto strike on 98* and REACHES THRE FIGURES with a reverse sweep for a couple.

His 26th first class century and fourth of the season - and he's done it on one leg against his former club.

186 balls with eight fours and two sixes.

He almost holes out from the next ball, Sam Hain unable to haul in the chance at deep mid-wicket.

  15. Postpublished at 11:59 British Summer Time

Notts 83-6 - target 136 to beat Worcs

Quite the decline. 50-1 to 83-6.

Liam Patterson-White is on a pair. Second-ball duck in the first dig.

    He sees out the over.

  16. 'The declaration isn't coming now'published at 11:58 British Summer Time

    Leics 342 & Glos 482 & 159-2

    Richard Rae
    BBC Radio Leicester Sport

If the declaration was to come now, Leicestershire would need 300 from 76 overs.

    It isn't coming now...

  17. wicket

WICKETpublished at 11:58 British Summer Time

    Slater c Roderick b Taylor 36 (Notts 83-6 - target 136 to beat Worcs)

Runs! Full from Tom Taylor and driven through the off side by Notts opener Ben Slater for a valuable four.

Taylor drags the length back a bit and Slater defends on his toes into the off side.

Out! Loose drive from the crease and he's edged it to keeper Gareth Roderick!

Hammer blow for Notts and Liam Patterson-White will bat now.

  18. rain stops play

Rain stops play at Tauntonpublished at 11:57 British Summer Time

    Somerset 441-6 dec v Yorks 56-5

The skies suddenly darkened at Taunton and a shower forced the players from the field. Should only be a brief halt, though.

  19. Postpublished at 11:56 British Summer Time

    Surrey 246 & 381-8 v Warwickshire 248

Dom Sibley tries to do it in one ball with a huge attempted pull off a straight one from Erthan Bamber which makes no contact.

A carve into the covers takes him to 98* but takes him off strike.

Matt Fisher keeps strike with a single to move to 2*.

The lead is 379 with 79 overs remaining in the day.

  20. Postpublished at 24.1 overs

    Leics 342 & Glos 482 & 152-2

Gloucestershire's 150 comes up as Miles Hammond drives Ian Holland elegantly through extra cover for four. The batter doesn't bother to move after completing the stroke, he knows that won't be stopped.
