    McCann c Ali b Waite 28 (Notts 50-2 - target 136 to beat Worcs)

Now the focus switches to Freddie McCann, facing Matthew Waite.

Play and a miss to the keeper. A fielder has come up close to the drive on the off side.

It's been a bit of a struggle with the bat so far this morning but there's runs here as there's a bit more bounce and width for McCann to stroke the ball through to deep third for four.

The Notts 50 comes up in 18.5 overs...

    Short...hooked...out!

McCann has holed out to Kashif Ali at deep mid wicket.

The Pears strike early and Joe Clarke is in the middle.

He departs for 43 and Jordan Clark, who can give it a biff, is the fresh batter, alongside Ryan Patel, who has two singles from two balls.

    Interesting development.

The lead is 304 but two dangerous batters are back in the hutch.

Notts 46-1 - target 136 to beat Worcs

Khurram Shahzad to bowl to Ben Slater.

The ground is bathed in sunshine.

Slater is back and across to defend from the crease.

He tries to whip a ball leg side but is stopped at square leg.

Shahzad is almost through Slater with the fourth ball as the opener miscues a drive and squeezes the ball into his foot. Ouch.

    Maiden over.

  9. 'The weather at the moment is fine'published at 10:41 BST

Notts 46-1 - target 136 to beat Worcs

    Dave Bracegirdle
    BBC Radio Nottingham commentator

The most important thing as as far as Notts are concerned is that the weather at the moment is fine. It's bright, it's dry and we're told the first showers across in the area are between 12:00 BST and 13:00 BST.

It's not easy for anybody out there to score freely, fluently, quickly but Nottinghamshire have the incentive of getting over the line and getting the job done.

Freddie McCann looking to get on with it.

He drives at the ball through the off side without piercing the field.

Edged! But well in front of second slip as he miscues a prod.

Runs off the fourth ball as McCann pulls a short ball for two, then misses an attempted hook off the fifth ball.
