    Warwickshire 33-0 - target 390

This does rather feel like the calm before the storm, and it might just be.

The sun is beating down in SE11 but Warwickshire have scored just 33 runs in their opening 14 overs, Surrey haven't got particularly close to forcing a breakthrough and there is a monster bank of rain sweeping across southern England towards the capital in the next hour.

Notts 123-7 - target 136 to beat Worcs

If Ben Allison can prize Lyndon James out this could end quickly.

We cannot be certain Mo Abbas will bat given he has a back injury.

Lyndon James plays away from the body to punch a ball away square for four through the off side.

    13 to win.

  3. Postpublished at 13:47 BST 11 September

    Essex 457-8dec v Durham 333 & 90-5

Ollie Robinson picks up another four with a slightly fortunate thick edge which flies through the vacant third slip area and away to the rope.

He's having a real tussle with Jamie Porter here.

Porter almost wins it as he gets Robinson fishing outside off but doesn't make contact.

The visitors are just beginning to rotate the strike a little, however, and the deficit is down to 34 with Graham Clark on 14* and Robinson now 20*.

    Parity is their first target.

    Northants 413-9 dec v Glam 467 & 145-3

Not much flight there from Calvin Harrison and Colin Ingram reverse sweeps for four to reach 50 from 66 balls. It's the 11th boundary of the South African's innings.

So close! Genuine loose play and miss from Josh Tongue trying to defend from the crease.

    How are your nerves?

    Richard Rae
    BBC Radio Leicester Sport

It wont last forever that's for sure but just behind this particular cloud burst there looks to be another couple coming.

So on go the covers and I assume we're going to have at least a 15 minute break, possibly a few minutes longer.

If you're a Leicestershire supporter then I'm sure you'll all be keeping an eye on scores elsewhere, particularly at Lord's and Northampton obviously.

Notts 119-7 - target 136 to beat Worcs

Josh Tongue is right behind the line of the ball to defend.

But the next one beats him and misses a defensive bat by a tiny margin.

The ball lifted on a good length.

Tongue drives straight but without timing and there's no run.

Notts 119-7 - target 136 to beat Worcs

18 to win. 12 runs off that last over.

Khurram Shahzad is back in the attack, but this time from the Diglis End.

Lyndon James is forward, pushing into the off side for one.

    17 to win.

    Warwickshire 30-0 - target 390

Two boundaries in three balls for Alex Davies who smites Dan Worrall through the covers before driving off the back foot to send Gus Atkinson to the same rope.

Davies survives another appeal from Atkinson soon after but the skipper has 22* from 45 balls with Rob Yates on 7* from 27 at the other end.

Run-rate still around 5.6 an over. They are just trying to stay out there and see what happens.

A vital breakthrough for Worcestershire, ending a partnership of 31.

Liam Patterson-White was doing a great job for his side.

Well, this game is hotting up a bit.

Play and miss defending from the crease.

Welcome to the middle, Josh Tongue.

Oh, leg side and clipped away square for four!

While Ian Holland is receiving treatment for a hand injury, the skies darken and here comes the rain again in best Eurythmics style. It's quite heavy too so this will likely be a longer delay than the one which delayed the afternoon restart by 10 minutes.

Yes! Liam Patterson-White is drawn forward. loose forward defensive and edged to the keeper.

    Redemption for Ben Allison!

    Josh Tongue will bat next.

  14. Durham facing innings defeatpublished at 13:39 BST 11 September

Durham 77-5 trail Essex by 47

    Martin Emmerson
    BBC Radio Newcastle

Colin Ackermann's time in the middle was rather brief.

He was on five runs when he decided to cut a delivery from Simon Harmer, but half way through the shot he seemed to change his mind and ended up edging to Dean Elgar at first slip.

It was not the start Durham wanted after lunch and I am not sure they will be here come tea either - unless it rains.

They are also not making any progress in terms of runs, so they remain nearly 50 behind. Tea is at 3.10pm and that seems a long way off from here.

  15. Postpublished at 13:38 BST 11 September

    Essex 457-8dec v Durham 333 & 77-5

Ollie Robinson picks up his first runs since before lunch as he gloves one from Jamie Porter down the leg side and it races away for four.

He follows another down the leg side and almost goes, not quite getting anything on the ball which Michael Pepper takes flying to his left. Exactly how Robinson got out in the first innings.

The arrears is below 50 and Robinson is 15* from 39 balls.

Olly Stone races in again, drops short and Brooke Guest pounds if for four off the back foot to reach his fifth 50 of the season, this one taking 94 balls.

It's been a valuable knock for his side, who were in a bit of trouble at 87-4. Their lead is now 117.

    We are nearing crunch time.

Short from Ben Alison and Liam Patterson-White swings the ball behind square for four.

It feels like the gears are shifting.

  19. Postpublished at 13:35 BST 11 September

    Essex 457-8dec v Durham 333 & 72-5

A single for Graham Clark off Simon Harmer reduced Durham's deficit to 52 runs.

They are playing in some heavy drizzle from what looks to be the sole cloud over Essex at present. Blue skies surround it.

Durham will surely think it's unplayable but you'd need a crowbar to get those Essex fielders off the pitch.

  20. Postpublished at 13:35 BST 11 September

Notts 106-6 - target 136 to beat Worcs

    34 to get from here.

Width from Tom Taylor but Lyndon James is not playing this time.

James drives down the ground but he hasn't timed it. No run.

James is forward to block. A leg side fourth ball is nudged away for a couple of runs.

Two more runs to leg but more of a bat-pad shot this time.

They all count. 30 to win.
