  1. Ind 469-8published at 112 overs

Just a single from the next four balls of the Carse over as England continue to try and mop up the tail.

The weather radar says it is raining in Headingley right now. Reality says otherwise.

Don’t think these clusters of Indian wickets are going to aid England chances here. These are ideal bowling conditions and the likes of Bumrah will be licking his lips.

    Ray, Morden.

So the weather is turning just as England will bat - Bumrah is awesome - he doesn’t need this help!

Hmmm, not sure I'd want to bat against Bumrah during this cloudy time. England are going to have a horrible time, if only India had won the toss.

Ravindra Jadeja is such a dangerous player. There are so many occasions in white-ball and Test cricket where he just gets a license down the back end.

    What a shot, that is!

Brydon Carse into the attack but Ravindra Jadeja walks at him second ball and plays a sumptuous checked drive that flies over mid-on.

    One bounce for four.

England must be red hot favourites in this game now considering they can comfortably score 450 in a day on a pitch like this.

Carse just dived past that, he must have just missed it in the background of the terrace. The red ball can be difficult to see.

It's been a very good fightback by England, aided by some loose shots be India. Trouble for England is what Bumrah might do in these conditions.

  8. Ind 463-8published at 111 overs

Ravindra Jadeja gets on strike after a single for Mohammed Siraj.

The all-rounder is likely to play his shots now he's left with the tail. He doesn't connect clean with a very full penultimate ball from Josh Tongue but he does with the pull shot next ball.

It should only be a single but Brydon Carse makes a meal of it in the deep and the ball gets through for four.

At least that means it'll be Siraj on strike to start the next over.

This is really good cricket from England. The carrot was dangling there and it was an easy catch for Brook.

India will be disappointed but there has been lots of movement in the last hour or so.

There is the wicket for Josh Tongue. There is movement under the lights!

    Edged and gone!

Josh Tongue offers a hint of width, Jasprit Bumrah dangles the bat and there is just enough movement to find the edge.

The ball flies to second slip and Harry Brook takes the catch.

Shoaib Bashir starts from the other end and rattles through a maiden to Ravindra Jadeja.

Nicely bowled and now it looks like Josh Tongue will be back after a change of ends.

I am still surprised that Ben Stokes didn't bowl himself in that first hour. Since the cloud has arrived the ball has done a little bit more.

There are still plenty of runs out there if India bat with the right mentality.

  14. Ind 454-7published at 109 overs

Jasprit Bumrah is the new batter for India and plays out two dot balls to end Ben Stokes' over.

Here come the players. Ben Stokes has two balls left to finish the over he started before lunch.

I could have copied and pasted that from yesterday's entry at this time...

The body language in the field is absolutely exceptional, that's one thing about Ben Stokes' captaincy.

If England can get them all out here, they can have a bat and we can really judge the wicket then.

The England players are on the boundary edge ready for the start of the afternoon session.

They have three wickets to wrap up this India innings and will hope to do so swiftly.

If they do so, knowing how quickly they can score, they'll still think they're a chance to match India and force a positive result.

I was about to report that the covers had just been put on.

But I'm happy to tell you that they are now being taken off!

Can only have been the slightest sprinkling of rain and the groundstaff are now pushing the covers off the playing area entirely so looks like we're all set to begin the afternoon session as scheduled.

England will be rolled for under 200, India to wrap this up by an innings and plenty.

Having waited so long for a wicket, England got four in the space of seven overs as Ollie Pope took a superb catch off Ben Stokes to remove Karun Nair for a duck.

Pant's wonderful knock ended on 134 soon afterwards when he was trapped lbw after shouldering arms to Josh Tongue.

Then, with what proved to be the last ball before lunch, Stokes took his fourth of the innings as Shardul Thakur edged behind.
