Huge let off for Pope there. Jaiswal scored a magnificent ton, but its catches that win matches!

That was one of Ollie Pope's late cuts and it hit Jaiswal's right hand hard. A good effort. That's two chances India have put down.

    Put down!

Ollie Pope tries to fence the ball past the slips, face of the bat but at the top of it, but sends the ball in the direction of Yashasvi Jaiswal.

The India opener dives to take the chance and spills the ball from both hands - that's a big chance.

Prior to that, Joe Root got off the mark with a single to fine leg.

  6. Eng 127-2published at 30 overs

Here comes Mohammed Siraj, replacing Ravindra Jadeja as India go with pace at both ends.

Pope takes a single through backward point from his first delivery, before Root faces five balls without scoring.

The last two of those both beat the bat - an uncertain start for the England legend.

  7. Eng 126-2published at 29 overs

Out comes Joe Root, running out to the middle at a fair lick.

Bumrah beats his bat with his second delivery - that would have been a massive blow to England's chances, had the ball taken the edge.

Ben Duckett will be disappointed. It was there to be driven but Duckett has played nicely. He'll look back on that one though.

Bumrah has done it. You can't relax for a moment with this man. Duckett went for a big drive and dragged it into his stumps.

Joe Root is sprinting out like a man possessed.

    Big inside edge!

The game turns back in India's favour as Jasprit Bumrah takes the wicket of Ben Duckett with an unremarkable delivery, seeing the England opener attempt an expansive drive and deflect back onto his stumps.

He'd been brought on strike after Ollie Pope had scored a four round the corner then taken a single after edging in front of the slips.

  11. Eng 121-1published at 28 overs

Well, if you're going to have one scoring shot in the over, might as well make it that.

Duckett powerfully executes a reverse sweep to fire Jadeja's delivery to the cover boundary for four.

Fair play to Oliver John Douglas Pope. I’m the biggest advocate for Bethell in his place but he’s played an impressively fuss free innings this far. Great work.

Think we shouldn’t keep making sweeping statements about the performances until both teams have batted?

Jadeja at the other end, just a Duckett single from his over.

The opener tries a reverse sweep, but misses and the ball flicks the pad outside the line.

A total does not seem to phase this England side. In my day, you used to dread it. But this team just rattles along it.

  17. Eng 113-1published at 25 overs

    Duckett 54, Pope 53

    That's pretty much unplayable.

Bumrah comes in from round the wicket to Duckett and sends down a delivery that shapes away and swoops past the England opener.

    Duckett's mouth forms an O - that's a definite "Oooooh!"

Got to appreciate a ball like that.

Can we give some credit to Ben Duckett. What an excellent opener he has been for England. Utterly fearless and delivering the stats!
